My mother spent over three years at Lydfords before she died in early January. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received. The team of carers are exceptional as are all the staff who work there. The carers are all mostly full time so no agency workers employed. So friendly and
approachable nothing is too much trouble. The shared facilities are smart and it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Food is good and always beautifully presented. I have recommended Lydfords to anyone who might need a care home in the future! With many thanks to all.

My mother has settled very well at Lydfords and we are delighted with the care, compassion and professionalism of all the staff. They are attentive to detail and have listened to both Margaret and us in preparing for and managing her integration. Margaret has been encouraged and supported to join in
with all activities and, despite her misgivings, she is clearly feeling safe, secure and happy at Lydfords. We feel most welcome to visit and to raise any concerns or ask questions. All the staff are receptive and helpful. We are delighted with Lydfords!

Lydfords Care Home has come up trumps. At a very difficult time it has provided exceptional care & respite for the very different needs of my parents. What stands out most is the lack of pressure or fuss alongside a feeling that the staff are there ready for anything and to step in at the
appropriate times. Nothing gets missed. The care level is exceptionally genuine, the food very good, personal approach to activities offered and calm extremely understanding & helpful management. Bravo.

very welcome when I visited - a truly home from home experience. All the staff were absolutely amazing - thank you all for making his stay so enjoyable

Mum and Dad moved into Lydfords in October 2022. (Dad subsequently died in July 2023). Throught the whole of their day, together and subsequently my mother on her own, the care, love & support given to both of my parents and to us has been nothing short of exemplary.
We cannot thank the whole
Lydfords team enough and will definitely miss them.

It feels sad to leave! Mom has been treated so well at Lydfords. She has put on weight (which she needed to do!) The food was so good! Everyone has been so kind + patient. Mum has dementia so needed to go to a nursing home but while I was looking for one I was helped and put under no pressure which
during a fairly stressful time, I can't thank the manager enough for. I would highly recommend Lydfords - special thanks to the manager and 4 other members of staff - best wishes.

Mum chose to become a permanent resident during a recent respite stay. The whole team have done a wonderful job of helping her to settle, which has enabled her to develop lovely relationships with them and the other residents.
The staff from all departments; Hospitality, Housekeeping, Care, Life
Enrichment, Maintenance, Admin and Management really do work together as one team, which is reflected in the care that all the residents receive.
Lydfords is very much a community. The premises are well maintained with a homely feel. The dining experience is fantastic, the tables are always beautifully set and the food quality is superb, with a variety of choices for all meals. The chefs do an amazing job of the presentation, which is equally as fabulous as the taste.
The care staff are truly exceptional, delivering care that is personal to Mum. The level of communication that I receive is excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lydfords and the team that make it a very special place.

was excellent every step of the way. His end-of-life care was exceptional. I was able to observe staff with other residents. They were all treated as individuals with respect and dignity, nothing is too much trouble. I could not recommend Lydfords more highly.

Mum's move to Lydfords was initially for respite care for a fall and a bad experience in hospital - she had shockingly aged 10 years in 10 days - and then her house flooded! It was such a stressful time but the staff at Lydfords were so kind and supportive as we worked it through. We thought Mum
might want to return to independent living but she has chosen to stay having become very fond of all the staff and established friendships with other residents. Having lived alone for years, we think she's enjoying having company and activity, feeling part of the village, and being served good food! We appreciate the relaxed, good-natured atmosphere when we visit but know it ramps up very professionally when Mum is poorly. It's particularly great that Mum is encouraged to continue to be as active and independent as she always wants to be but clearly feels able to ask for help when she wants/needs it. We are so very grateful to all at Lydfords who helped turn a disaster into a blessing!
