I am a Registered Nurse with 10 years' experience in care home management. I have a passion for leading a team that delivers exceptional care, celebrating the individuality of each resident in a warm and supportive environment that is full of joy.

I understand choosing a care home can be an emotional and challenging time, and I am always here to offer a kind, supportive hand to guide you through the process. Port Manor is such a beautiful home. As a local to Seaford myself, it’s wonderful to be able to ensure that the home and residents are an active part of our vibrant community.

Ensuring residents feel safe, happy and living with joy and anticipation is a great privilege and a great responsibility, and I am committed to putting the residents at the heart of all we do at Port Manor. Here in Seaford we are blessed to have access to the South Downs and the sea. I have three dogs, so I always make good use of our beautiful surroundings.

I have worked in customer service roles throughout my career. I started in retail and moved into the healthcare sector in 2007 as a HR administrator. I am very much looking forward to welcoming our new residents and their loved ones to our home and supporting with their journey. I am excited to be part of such a wonderful team and in such a beautiful environment.

I will be based in the entrance to Port Manor so I will be available to our residents, families and team throughout the day. My door is open and I will always be here to give a warm welcome.

Hello, my name is Lori, and I am the Admin Assistant here at Port Manor Care Home.

I have been working for Barchester for over five years now, and I have eight years of experience in the care sector. I thoroughly enjoy working for the company and being part of such a wonderful team. I have studied business management, and this has helped me in my role.

Although I am here to support the whole home, my heart is very much with the residents. I love being involved in daily life and making sure the well-being of every individual is always the top priority. I am known for my bubbly personality and positive energy, and I believe a smile can go a long way. I am excited to welcome our new residents and their loved ones to our home.

Outside of work, I love to travel, and I also spend quality time with my little dog Teddy, who is full of character and keeps me on my toes!

In my role at Barchester Healthcare, I guide and assist people as they begin their journey into care, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process. I am also responsible for developing strong relationships within the local community and working collaboratively with partner organisations to promote the outstanding care and services we provide at Port Manor.

Hello, my name is John, and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Port Manor Care Home. Originally from New Zealand, I have lived and worked in many other places, including California, Greece and now the UK. Over the years, I have worked in different settings as a maintenance manager such as hotels and resort complexes's and I am extremely happy to be here at Port Manor working alongside a wonderful team.

At heart, I am a people person with a passion for learning and personal development. I am well-trained in water safety, fire prevention, hot water systems, electricals and HVAC systems. Here at Barchester, I look to bring my passion for my work and for people together to provide our residents, their loved ones and my team a safe, compliant and pleasant home to live in here at Port Manor.

I have been working in the care sector for the past 5 years, and I am incredibly passionate about the food I serve to our residents. I believe that a nutritional and flavoursome menu is very important, and it brings me great joy knowing the residents are enjoying what they eat.

Each resident will have had different culinary experiences and foods that they prefer, and I will always work hard to include these in the food we serve at Port Manor. I look forward to working with my team to offer a 5-star dining experience each day.

I have been working in the care industry for 14 years, and in that time I have supported residents in different roles, including care assistant and administration. I feel that with all my experience in the care setting, I will be able to provide our residents with the top-quality service they deserve. Myself and my team, will work hard together and will always be a friendly face for the residents, their loved ones and our colleagues.

Hello, my name is Aga and I am a Senior Carer here at Port Manor Care Home.

I first came to the UK in 2007 from Poland however, I did return for a short period to study social work and sociology. I came back to the UK in 2012, where I started my career in care.

My job brings me great joy. Providing our residents with high-quality, person-centred care is always my priority and getting to do this alongside a strong team is wonderful. I do have a great passion for caring for people living with dementia and enabling them to live a life with as much independence as possible.

My role is all about creating meaningful, enjoyable experiences and making sure each resident feels valued, listened to, and supported. It’s really important to me to help fulfil the wishes of our residents and tailor activities to suit their interests and abilities. This fits perfectly with Barchester Healthcare’s Life Enrichment Programme, which focuses on enhancing wellbeing, independence, and quality of life through personalised activities and engagement.

What I enjoy most about my job is spending time with our residents and listening to their life experiences and stories. I find it so rewarding to build meaningful connections and learn from the wonderful people I meet every day.

I’m a big animal lover, especially when it comes to my beloved wire-haired fox terrier, Reggie, who means the world to me. I’m also quite creative, and I love spending my spare time painting and exploring my passion for art. I also enjoy singing, even though I’ll happily admit, “I can’t actually sing, but I love it!”

I feel very lucky to be part of such a caring community, and I love bringing creativity, fun, and positivity into everything I do.
