My grandparents are currently staying at Barchester Latimer Court Care Home for respite, and we've had such a positive experience. Naturally, you worry when loved ones go into respite, but the staff have made us feel completely at ease. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and helpful, from the care assistants and cooks to the kitchen and admin teams. What really stands out is how well the staff know their residents. They take the time to get to know each person, their personality, likes, dislikes and routines, rather than treating them as just another resident. Even though my grandparents are only there for respite, they've been made to feel comfortable, valued and cared for. Whenever we visit, we're always greeted warmly and the whole home has such a lovely atmosphere. It's reassuring to know my grandparents are surrounded by people who genuinely care. A huge thank you to the whole Latimer Court team for everything you do - your kindness and hard work really don't go unnoticed!

My main concern is the lack of resource (available carers), I have witnessed several situations when residents need urgent attention eg toileting but there are no available carers to help at the time of need resulting in distress and humiliation for the residents and extra work (which could have been prevented) for the limited carers to clear up the resulting mess. The focus on activities is however positive especially external to the home, however with the current transport facility this can only be provided to a limited number of residents. The cleanliness of the home is however excellent as are the grounds and the small allotment.

I think the way the Reception area is arranged is helpful in encouraging friends and family to visit residents. The kindliness and friendliness of the 2 staff who conveyed my friend from her previous home to Latimer Court was something that made a big impression on her and led me to feel that if these people, not formally carers, were so caring there was a good team spirit at the home. My friend having to cope with a level of disability and dependency which frustrates her and caring staff who have the patience to listen and explain can provide the human touch which is so important.

This is my husband's second stay in Hollyfields. The first first time was going to be for two weeks respite but unfortunately extended to 7 weeks whilst our home was adapted for him to return. The second time was a week in August when I had to go away for work and a family visit. Both times I felt very confident in the help and care my husband was receiving. They cared for him brilliantly considering all the difficulties he has. They maintained a low blood sugar for his diabetes. They managed his movement which is sadly lacking because of his Parkinson's.Both times I felt very confident in the help my husband was getting. They cared They were extremely attentive and friendly and helped him at any point he needed.I cannot recommend them enough for respite care that my husband has had I will definitely lose it in the beginning of the future.

Our experience with Hollyfields has given us real confidence that our loved one is receiving the care and support they need. The Senior General Manager takes the time to explain things clearly and in detail, which has been incredibly reassuring. The Home Administrator is also extremely helpful, approachable and explains things in real terms, making everything much easier to understand. We feel listened to, supported and confident that our loved one is in good hands.

The care my father is receiving is excellent. The staff are kind & friendly and always respect his & our wishes. His room is large & bright and we are always welcomed when visiting. We are so pleased he is here.

My mother and I were able to get a good nights sleep for the first time in weeks knowing that he is being looked after.

My mum started out at Elgar Court on a 2 week respite trial, and liked it so much she decided to stay on permanently! From the start, all staff have been friendly and welcoming, and have gone out of their way to make mum feel comfortable and included. I have walked in more than once to find a staff member encouraging mum to join in a group activity that she otherwise might not have considered, and facilitating relationships with likeminded residents. Food is great, the home is beautifully designed and mums room has lovely views of the Malvern Hills.

Mom came in for 5wks respite care,the staff were all very nice , friendly and helpful.Her room was spotless and no nasty smells anywhere.It is more like a 4* hotel than a care home.Mom was very calm and seemed to be at home there.

Mum has been at Latimer Court for 4 weeks. The Management and staff have been wonderful at meeting Mum's needs, really going above and beyond to make her feel at Home. Mum has a lovely view from her window, she was able to bring in her own furniture from home and lots of family pictures to help her settle. The food is excellent and everyone is very friendly, helpful and kind. Mum has enjoyed the activities, particularly keep fit and a singer coming in. Thank you for making a difficult decision easier for me.

Danni and the entire team simply could not have done more to welcome mum and accommodate her every need, even down to changing the decor colour scheme in her beautiful spacious room. The home is spotless and very tastefully decorated throughout giving a lovely homely feel. Staff are very pleasant and attentive and always happy to answer any queries we may have. The food is excellent with multiple choice 3 course menus on offer. Having found such a lovely care home and seeing mum settle in so well has gone a long way to assuage any guilt feelings we may have been experiencing to begin with.

I can't thank the staff enough for the outstanding care, kindness and compassion they provide for my mother in law. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and genuinely cares. The activities and meals are wonderful. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, caring and supportive environment for a loved one. Very happy with the service

I am extremely pleased that I chose Hollyfields to care for my Mum. She is treated with kindness, dignity and respect by all members of staff. She now requires a higher level of nursing care and in my opinion, the nursing team are exceptional. Every member of staff are always willing to talk to relatives/friends, and I never feel like I am inconveniencing them. I am always greeted with a cheery smile from everyone I see.

Eighteen months ago my parents aged 95 & 93 moved to Latimer Court. They felt 'at home' from day one. As a family we were so relieved that they were so well cared for, safe, secure and really happy too. All staff, without exception are so friendly, efficient & genuinely care for the residents, and support families well too. The rooms are comfortable with every need catered for. Lovely restaurant, hairdresser, entertainment; everything really good. Food is delicious & nutritious & both parents are well & healthy. Visiting family are always welcomed into life at Latimer, where the ethos is open & inclusive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Latimer Court!
