I am so glad I chose Friston House for my mother-in-law. I cannot fault the care she receives from the whole team and also the support I receive as a relative. Ma-in-law has been with them for approximately 2.5 years and the care she receives has never gone below exceptional.

I have nothing but praise for this nursing home.
My mother arrived on the 07/02/26 at the nursing home from hospital with a grade 4 bed sore which we (family) had no idea it was that bad. But the home were straight on to it and cleaning her up. The nursing care she received was beyond what we could
have hoped for. Staff were polite caring happy and loving to my mother. She started to improve over the next few weeks and even the bed sore had improved which is some achievement in a 91 years old. Unfortunately my mother passed away after 4 weeks but I know had she lived another couple more weeks her sore would have healed. We are so pleased she was cared for properly in her last week's of life.
This is a lovely home from its beautiful decor to its excellent presented meals. It shows patients respect and care. Every staff person we met was attentive. Well done sutton valence.

My aunt sadly died recently. She had lived at Winchester House for the last 4 years where she was cared for with such compassion and kindness. She made a few special connections with staff and we felt she was with a very safe pair of hands. The nursing staff were incredibly helpful in supporting the
family during her last couple of months. She enjoyed her 80th birthday party at the care home where we created so many special memories. Thank you to all at Winchester House, particularly those staff on Cathedral Unit and also front desk receptionists.

Always a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. All the staff know my Mum by name and are always extremely kind and understanding of her needs . It's great to have the same staff so we get to know them and vice versa . My mum is well cared for and happy , any issues are communicated to us and quickly
resolved. Lots of wonderful activities that she is encouraged to take part in that keep her mind active . We are also invited to join in many lovely events , singers , breakfast ,etc .This makes our visits more varied and enjoyable for us all . The Mother's Day afternoon cream tea event was just wonderful . With staff putting in so much work and some coming in on their day off and an extra volunteer helper shows the pure level of care and commitment . We are welcome to visit at any time and the cafe area is a nice social area to enjoy our visit . food is varied and of a good quality . There are feedback meetings that are good and also informative . All in all highly recommended.

Paul, the new manager of Ashminster House is a breath of very welcome (and much needed) fresh air to the home
He is open, listening and very keen to support the residents and staff and has already made such an improvement to my partners stay in Ashminster (my partner very poorly at present)

Rosewater Place is a lovely Home. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly and always ready to help. My partner went in for respite at Christmas and has had several respite breaks there. It is convenient to where we live, so visiting is easy.

I am so pleased with the care that my Nan, Anne has received at Friston. The home is beautifully decorated and the staff are incredibly friendly. My Nan settled into the home with such ease and its always so welcoming when I would visit her. The home runs smoothly and the general manager is very professional
and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this home and I am so pleased my Nan has called this home, her home.

Mum has been in the home since December ,she has settled in so much the staff have been so good with mum it was very hard for me to let mum go into a home because mum is unable to do anything and i thought she would be left out of things ,but the staff are always including her in the activities,she

My husband, who has advanced Alzheimer's moved into Rose Water in December 2025.
He has taken some time to settle and staff were quick to call him by name and make him feel at home. My husband developed a problem with his foot and was quickly seen by a doctor and district nurse. The food is varied
and there is plenty of choice. All staff we have met have been caring and professional and obviously put the residents first. When visiting we have always found somewhere to be, either in the coffee lounge downstairs or in one of the lounge areas. My husband has been encouraged by the staff to join in with activities. Over all I have been pleased with the standards in the home and feel my husband is in the best place for his current needs.
