Hello, I’m Phillis and I’m the General Manager. I have devoted over a decade of my life to the healthcare sector and I have particularly enjoyed working with the team at Newington Court. My passion for providing quality care to the elderly and vulnerable has been the driving force behind my successful career. Throughout the years, I have honed my skills and gained invaluable experience in managing a care home and I have demonstrated my unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of the residents.
My journey in the healthcare sector began shortly after completing my nursing qualification in Zimbabwe. Eager to make a difference in the lives of others, I found myself drawn to pursue a career in Elder Care. I joined Newington Court in 2017 as a Registered Nurse and I worked my way up to a management position. I enjoy staying up to date with the latest developments in the healthcare sector and networking with other professionals.

I find fulfilment in leading my team to provide exceptional care and support to residents. Anita started at Newington Court in May 2016. She is a qualified NVQ assessor in business administration, she has had many roles in HR and accountancy roles. She provides great home support to the management team and residents and their families
I am head of maintenance and I enjoy overseeing the home and gardens. I enjoy making everyone welcome and helping residents make their rooms their own.
I joined Newington Court as a Housekeeper in August 2021 and was promoted to Head Housekeeper in October. It is a very varied role which encompasses housekeeping and laundry. It is a pleasure to interact with our residents and their families whilst ensuring that the home’s high standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times.
Tiffany joined Newington in 2021 as a Senior Nurse. She is a very experienced nurse and was promoted to Unit Nurse Manager on our Memory Lane unit in January 2022. She has now been promoted to Deputy General Manager. As well as superb communication skills that have enabled her to develop a good rapport with residents, their families and staff, she possesses excellent observation skills and is knowledgeable and driven.
I came to Newington Court in October 2021 from my home country, Nigeria. I am enjoying my role at Newington Court, getting to know the residents and their families and working with a wonderful team of nurses and carers.
I have been working at Newington Court since September 2023. I was promoted to Lead Activities Co-ordinator in July 2024. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the activities team who is passionate about creating engaging, imaginative and memorable activities for all our residents to enjoy, both in a group environment and on a one-to-one basis. The wellbeing of our residents is my priority, and I believe it is essential to offer a wide selection of activities which benefit the residents physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I really enjoy helping our residents to live their lives to the full!
I joined the team at Newington in Dec 2016 coming from a social care environment which I found rewarding. I have 30 years experience in business and admin and have a NVQ 3 in Business and Admin. I enjoy making a difference to our residents lives.

Claire-Louise is a Senior Carer at Falcon Place, an excellent 8-bed residential unit. It has the most homely feel and she is highly thought of by residents and their families
My name is Rebecca. I joined Newington Court In November 2017 as a Carer. In April 2019 I took on the role as Activities Co-ordinator and then became Head of Lifestyle. After two years I decided to return to my first passion which is care. I like to care for our residents in a way that respects the dignity of every individual in our home and promotes their independence.
Speaking up is invaluable as this provides an opportunity to learn, improve and enhance care, ensuring a safe place for all. We want to make it as easy and as comfortable as possible for everyone to speak up and that all workers are supported in doing this. We are committed to supporting our staff to speak up to ensure the continuity of excellent care to our residents and patients and to ensure a positive work environment.
I joined the Housekeeping Team at Newington Court in 2016. I have the passion to keep the care home environment clean and support infection control, keeping the residents happy and comfortable and feeling like they are home.
I started work as a Carer at Newington Court in November 2024. I love supporting our residents in an individual way by providing person-centred care so that they enjoy life in our home. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of those we care for with warmth, respect and dignity.
I joined the Newington Court care team in September 2022. Myself and the other carers support our residents with every aspect of daily life that they require a bit of extra help with. It is a pleasure getting to know residents as well as their friends and families.

I started at Newington Court as a Bank Nurse in November 2024. A permanent role became available, and I was very happy to take up this position in June 2025. I believe in working as a team to give our residents the highest quality nursing care.
