Mum has spent the last 3 years in Falcon Place where she has been treated with kindness, patience and respect even on the more challenging days due to Mum's dementia. Mum's needs have now changed and she needs nursing care. So after discussion, it was agreed that Mum should move to Newington Court. I was anxious about how the move would affect Mum, but the staff listened to my concerns and found her a perfect room on the third floor where she can have the nursing care she needs. I needn't have worried the transition was seamless and Mum has settled in and is getting the same excellent care that she had been used to next door.
Every member of staff so far without exception has been so kind not only to Mum but to the family as well. The home is spotlessly clean. I also want to mention the activities team who do their best to include Mum, which is appreciated.

So I would recommend both Falcon Place and Newington Court without hesitation. Thank you to everyone for everything you do.

My mum has been a resident at Newington Court for a few years now. The standard of care and support she receives is outstanding. It is not an easy job caring for someone with dementia, but everyone takes the time to treat mum with kindness and respect. I can't thank you all enough for your day to day care that allows me to be the daughter and not the exhausted carer. I look forward to my visits with her and I can sleep knowing mum is safe and cared for.

Mum has been at Newington Court since Jan 2023 and has been very happy. Her Dementia has worsened and now she has loss her mobility her care needs have increased. The staff have been both professional and respectful to Mum and us as a family which has made the whole process easier to deal with. The quality of the food is very good and there is always plenty of choice for mum.
The management of the care home is very thorough and we feel very much apart of everything that happens to mums care. Communication is really good and there is regular updates from the management team.

Overall we are very happy with everything and would recommend the facility to anyone looking for somewhere to look after a loved one that needs extra support.

Mum has been very happy at Barchester Court. As her Alzheimer's has worsened, all the staff have supported her and continued to treat her with dignity, love and care, even though she is now very vulnerable. Mum's care team talk with her and never talk at her, which is lovely. I am always made to feel very welcome. It gives me great peace of mind that Mum is being cared for there, in a peaceful rural setting, and I am very grateful to all the care team for everything they do.

My wife came to the home via hospital and had a terminal illness. Also, the home was recommended to the family and I am pleased to report that we were not disappointed. The home itself was excellent and the facilities in my wife's room were beyond reproach. The staff were very caring and helpful and made my wife's short stay, before her passing, as comfortable as possible. For my part, I was treated with respect and care. The refreshment facilities for visitors were excellent. I would have no problem in recommending this home.

Nurses and carers are always on hand whatever time you visit, day or night. They always keep the family well informed of any changes made to resident's care and reasons. Management is happy to talk at any time if they were needed and helpful receptionists.
My husband could not be in better hands. I can leave him after a visit knowing he is well cared for and in a happy environment.
Barchester Newington Court Care Home does feel like a family home, lots of laughs and banter amongst staff and residents although we all know what a really tough job caring for people can be. The staff have to meet and deal with so many different residents' needs.
I have, over time, spent many hours at Newington Court and they do now feel like family to me.

I feel so pleased and lucky to have my beloved husband in such a home.

I speak for all my family in saying just how wonderful the care has been for my dad who has been in Newington Court since last year.

Whilst the personal care given to my dad by the staff is exemplary, the emotional connections that the staff have made with Dad and the way they genuinely care for him as a person go beyond what we could have hoped. It really feels as though Dad is being cared for by an extended family and God bless you all at Newington Court for that.
