Our family have been very pleased with the care Mum has received whilst at Newington Court. All the staff have been friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and work as a team. They certainly go the extra mile to ensure the residents have the best care.
Mum was initially reluctant to take part in any activities and socialising but the staff gradually succeeded in her becoming involved in activities, having her hair done, sitting in the dining room and even trips out for lunch and the cinema.
The interior of Newington Court is very comfortable, tasteful and homely. The bedrooms are a good size and well furnished. Perhaps an extra surface or table would have been useful but you can take in extra furniture if needed.

As our visits involved a lot of travelling, a cafe area enabling us to have a hot drink and cake was very much appreciated.

We placed my dad in the care of Newington Court Care Home when his cancer progressed and he could not stay at home anymore.
The care my dad received was outstanding. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure my dad was looked after and comfortable. His room was kept clean at all times. My dad's personal care was always exceptional and all meals served were of a high standard. Unfortunately, we lost my dad to cancer while he was in the care home. I can not thank the staff enough for all the help and understanding they showed at this difficult time.

When you go into the home everyone is always smiling and always activities for the residents if they wish to join in.

I find all the carers at Falcon Place to be very attentive and exceptionally caring. They all go the extra mile. A very good team. We are always informed of any little concerns and are happy to update me when I telephone to check how my loved one is. When we visit, on our weekly visits, always say the girls/carers are "so kind"! So reassuring to me and my family.

Have recently moved a close family friend into Falcon Court in Newington Court Care Home and have been so pleased with the way they have been looked after and settled in. We took a long time choosing the right place and are very happy with our choice.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a residential home for a close family member, as we cannot fault the care.

My mother has been a resident at Newington Court Care Home since April 2021. She has deteriorated physically and mentally due to her medical condition during this time. However, she is fully supported by the carers on her floor who treat her with kindness and dignity at all times.
I visit 3/4 times a week and am always warmly welcomed with offers of cups of tea if needed! The staff are always busy but find the time to keep me informed of positive developments or concerns. I know I can always phone the staff if the need arises and they will phone me when necessary.

Newington Court is run and maintained to high professional standards.

My dad arrived at this home in April/May this year during lockdown via the hospital. Mum and I were really worried as we didn't know what was going to happen to Dad as his dementia had got quite bad, as had his health. We were told that Dad wouldn't be allowed to come home because of his needs and was placed here; we are so glad he was. When we were allowed visits outside Dad looked very clean and well presented, and as the visits went on, he looked healthy and happy. This has put our minds at ease now, we know that his care from all the staff including nurses, carers and even the admin staff are committed to their duties and go above and beyond to help and reassure us that Dad is well looked after and he has what he needs. The staff are very professional and can't thank them enough for all their hard work and keeping everyone safe from this virus. We look forward to meeting them face to face when allowed. Thank you to all the staff at Newington Court Care home.

I live in New York City and it's so hard to be apart from my dear mum. The staff at Newington Court have done everything they can to make it easy to communicate with my mum and keep me updated on her progress. The staff are wonderful and caring. I really don't know what I would do without them. The facility is great with a lovely garden area and dining room. The bedroom gets lovely light and is big enough for Mum's wheelchair. My only concerns are the sometimes lack of night staff on duty. In an ideal world there would be more staff overall, but especially at night. I wish the staff could be paid a lot more as they are wonderful and works very hard. The COVID world has turned everything upside down, but I must say how well Newington Court has dealt with containing the situation and organizing garden visits and calls etc. Mum enjoys the food at Newington too, so a big thank you to the kitchen staff. We long for the days when Mum can get back out on a day trip/pub lunch. Hang in there everyone!

The care our mother received at Newington Court over the last four-plus years has been gold standard throughout. We have been kept informed meticulously about her health and well being.
The staff always had time to talk to us about any problems and looked after Mum’s personal care to a very high standard. They took time each day to talk to her as she was bed-bound.

We are so grateful to all the staff who looked after her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone else.

I joined Newington Court in May 2026 after recently moving to this area.

I’m the home's Admin Assistant. I love my role within the home on reception, meeting and greeting residents and helping people who are visiting Newington Court. I also liaise with our families to support them with their stay with us, making it the best it can be.
