The activities team try to give residents varied activities and think "outside the box". The food also is excellent with lots of variety. Even in death Mum and us relatives were treated with dignity and compassion -> Thank you Friston House.

He didnt get to experience the activities himself as he was mostly bed bound but i could see they always have stuff going on for the residents. The food was delicious, i even booked in to have lunch with my dad. The home itself was always clean and tidy and we was always welcomed with a smile. A truly lovely care home.

The decision to self fund for one month, whilst negotiating with social services, was banked on Janettes stay there from 20/01/25 until 5/05/25, again self funded, whilst a very long wait for a social worker to be appointed. This happened April '25, she was sat her 5/05/25 and back in hospital 10/5/25. A very poor decision on the part of social worker. Janette is happy here.

As a Health and Safety Champion, I ensure that the health and safety of Friston House is up to the standard required by doing regular monitoring of all necessary activities of the home. Health and safety is actually everyone’s responsibility and starts with every individual working in the home. Hello there. I'm Emma. I've been working at Friston House for nine years now. I'm one of many healthcare assistants working at this brilliant home.
I am also a Dementia Champion, who, along with the supportive teams across the home and with the other champions, provides support to our residents and families. From dining room experiences, inclusive activities and sensory areas for those of our residents with advanced dementia.
