During my time in this role, I quickly developed a passion for providing care and recognised that I could contribute more significantly to the well-being of others. Driven by the desire to expand my skills and knowledge, I made the decision to pursue a nursing career and enrolled in nursing school in 2015.
After three years of rigorous study and hands-on training, I completed my nursing qualification and returned to Winchester House in September 2018, eager to put my education into practice. Since re-joining the team, I have continually grown within the organisation, and in 2020, I was proud to be promoted to the role of Senior Nurse.

I found great satisfaction in supporting individuals with their daily needs and contributing to their overall well-being. Hi, my name is Debbie and I currently work at Winchester House as a front of the house reception. I have worked at Winchester House for 8 years in the variety of roles. These include kitchen assistant and housekeeping.
When I first came to work, my biggest concern was how i Would communicate with residents having not had much experience in a care setting.
If i have learnt anything about myself, it is that i can communicate with anybody. I get to know the residents , families and all the care professionals.
I have finally found my perfect role.
