Barchester Ashford House Care Home is an excellent, well appointed facility, that I would definitely highly recommend.
All of the staff, on every level showed professionalism, kindness and respect to my frail, but determined, FTD diagnosed relative during the time that she was there as a resident.
One
small but important aspect that I really appreciated, was that I could visit at any time, and any day. That itself made a huge difference when I felt I needed to stay a little longer.

My stepmum has been in this lovely welcoming care home for nearly 9months, and absolutely loves it. The staff from reception, management, nurses and carers do an absolute amazing job by looking after their residents and relatives, I always feel at home there. The entertainment staff do a fantastic job
making sure they cater for everyone from tv programmes to live entertainment and just having fun. Everyone who work's at the care home have their own jobs and they all help each other out as well. The residents are lovely I try and talk to them when I visit, some of them we have a laugh together and it's lovely.

She started as respite but settled in so well that we quickly converted to residential care. It's a lovely place. The management team are dedicated, friendly

My mother became a resident at Corrina Lodge in January 2023. Initially we were very impressed by the care she was given. She was welcomed by everyone: carers, admin, nurses, catering staff, premises staff and especially management, she knew who everyone was. She is less settled now because 'there have
been so many changes', she says there are not enough staff to manage everything & everyone. I have noticed this. There has been an effort to recruit more residents but staff levels have dropped and management skills, relationships have definitely declined.
Value for money - TOO EXPENSIVE

Mum initially came to the home for respite and had such an improvement in wellbeing she stayed. Staff are supportive and friendly to Mum and family. Mum loves the activities and social side. Was hesitant over Mum coming to a care home but everyone at Windmill have been fantastic throughout all areas.

My experience initially was "what a lovely friendly home" my mother was happy - a family feel to the place in January 2023. Now my experience is the opposite. Not enough staff, not enough personel knowing my mother apart from the entertainment team. - In my opinion this is a travesty, as in Corrina
Lodge in this short space, of time, clearly are only interested in money - and don't care about the value that is given for extortion
I wouldn't be surprised if you sell my details for money.

My family and I have been very impressed with Mill Court. My mum is very happy. She always tells u that the staff are lovely and the food is excellent. When we visit it is a charming place to spend time with her. We never imagined that the move there would be as smooth as it was. (The manager acted

The Care team at Silverbirch have been great in the first stages of admitting mum into full time care. She is not one to join in to activities or mix easily and Bo has been amazing at getting her involved even when initially she has been refusing to come out of her room and mix with others. Imagine
our surprise when we heard that she had agreed to go out for a day trip in the minibus!! The whole team have been great at settling her in and she's looking so much better even after a few weeks.

I have been a resident of the Silverbirch Care Home for the past 9 months & am still trying to settle in but am finding it a bit difficult still as I miss my family & my own home, having lvied in the same house for 62 years but unfortunately I am no longer to look after my husband & myself but everyone
is so kind & nothing is too much trouble for the carers & I have a nice room & most things I need really I soppose it will just take time. Its all clean & very comfortable & we get 3 good meals a day so I must just settle myself & be grateful
My husband has been in here for 1 1/2 years & you look after him well

My husband has been in Windmill Manor for a year now so I've pretty much seen it all!! I am even more impressed with the home than I was in the early days. I have come to know the staff and many of the relatives. It really is a big family here.
I have been able to come and go as I please and am
always made to feel welcome. My husband has received the kindest of care under sometimes testing circumstances. The staff are always thoughtful and understanding. It seems that daily care staff, night staff, kitchen, admin, maintenance, cleaners, management and literally everyone knows who is who and what is going on. It's impressive. My year has been so strange - very sad but on the other hand we have also had lots of laughs. He is extremely well cared for and is very content.

This is my first experience of a care home and I have found it a very good experience, indeed, so far.
People are always eager to be helpful and someone is always at the ready to help. I find the food very varied and tasty.

Very friendly staff who seemed to genuinely care & want to be engaged with both residents & visitors. Impressive building & facilities.
I don't know what the cost is so am not able to rate. Likewise, on my visit, I didn't encounter any management - I was there for a specific function.
