Designed with the comfort and wellbeing of older people in mind, Worplesdon View offers spacious en-suite bedrooms, comfortable lounges and secure, well-maintained gardens. Additional facilities include a welcoming coffee area, an on-site hair salon and a choice of communal lounges and dining spaces, allowing residents to socialise, take part in activities or spend time relaxing in quieter surroundings.

Nicola Orwin, the manager, has created a wonderful culture within the home that is conducive to an exceptionally happy work environment. She is incredibly hands on and takes the time to get to know all the residents & their families, running a very tight ship. We visit regularly and have had nothing but a truly positive experience with all members of staff. The carers are extraordinarily attentive and kind, the nurses warm and professional, the ancillary staff always smiling and full of good cheer. The 2 young chaps Raz & Rom in charge of entertainment are always patient, kind, full of fun and extremely caring and the admin staff are friendly and efficient. The food is fresh, varied and of high quality, and the cleanliness throughout is exceptional.

The team work hard to understand resident's individual needs and in mum's case even her love of cheese! My stepmum has been in this lovely welcoming care home for nearly 9months, and absolutely loves it. The staff from reception, management, nurses and carers do an absolute amazing job by looking after their residents and relatives, I always feel at home there. The entertainment staff do a fantastic job making sure they cater for everyone from tv programmes to live entertainment and just having fun. Everyone who work's at the care home have their own jobs and they all help each other out as well. The residents are lovely I try and talk to them when I visit, some of them we have a laugh together and it's lovely.

I spent two weeks in respite care at the Barchester Worplesdon View. I am a full-time wheelchair user with little that I can do myself. I was impressed during my initial visit by both the accommodation and facilities available and the friendliness. When I went to stay I found that everything I had seen on my initial visit was correct and was actually surpassed as I found the care, accommodation, food and facilities were all exceptionally good. Nothing I asked for was too much trouble and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and will certainly return in the future. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay so good.

Having always been passionate about food since he was a boy, working in his local chip shop and cooking at home, Steve decided to become a professional chef. He completed his City & Guild’s qualifications at the same time as working for Forte Crest Hotels picking up some amazing skills along the way. Steve proceeded to work at a number of restaurants, golf clubs, private schools, wedding venues, conference and training venues to gain experience in every area of the catering profession.
