Corrina Lodge has been an outstanding care home for my Dad who is recieving end of life care. My Dad and my family are always made to feel at home and I know that my Dad feels safe. The nurses, carers, chefs, managers and support staff have taken the time to get to know my Dad to ensure his needs are met, the activities team are fantastic and are lovely to be around. My Dad is in the best place to enure he is supported at the end with care and dignity.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a great deal to all of us to know that your dad feels safe and cared for, and that you and your family feel at home here. We're glad that every part of the team has been able to support him with the dignity he deserves.
My husband has now been at Corrina Lodge for 6 weeks during this time his mental and physical health has improved greatly. He is looking well and appears to have settled in quite nicely. He enjoys quite a few of the activities especially the outings. He has made friends with other residents and is given great care and consideration by the staff. We as relatives also recieve the same care and consideration all the staff are very approachable and friendly and anything you request, or any issue is listened to and resolved promptly. It is a pleasure to walk into the home and be greeted in such a lovely warm manner

Room, compact, but looking out through French windows, onto the garden which makes all the difference for a pleasant stay.
Food good, lovely cakes.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We pride ourselves on having a friendly, approachable team who always aim to go above and beyond for our residents. I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the view and the direct access to our garden, a room with a view really does make a stay feel special. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
As you can imagine I am very protective of my mother & am very invested in her happiness & wellbeing. The first tour of the home was really good. As they say you just get a feeling, & thanks to Michelle who was our first point of call was lovely, calming, informative & a credit to the home. Since Mum has been here she has settled well & ALL the staff are wonderful. It has surprised me how happy I am to leave at the end of the day with the knowledge she will be safe.
The care home manager, Carl, went above and beyond to ensure our dad could visit Sam during this family crisis.
Carl arranged for the Head of maintenance, Sean to personally drive our dad all the way to London and wait until we were ready to return. This act of kindness meant the world to us. It allowed our dad to be there for Sam when it mattered most.
We would like to give our biggest gratitude as a family to Barchester for all they have done. Our dad has gone from being nursing care to being in rehabilitation.
Your kind words will be fed back to the team.
First thing my mothers hearing aid went missing as a family we paid over 2 thousand pound for this, never found, she was then burnt by a burning hot cup of tea.

After an extended stay in hospital, Corrina Lodge was like a peaceful retreat and a much more appropriate setting for someone with an aggressive, terminal cancer.
My uncle had a lovely, downstairs room with a view of the gardens.
Staff liaised well with the GP and palliative care team and my uncle had access to morphine etc when appropriate.
The Deputy Manager/Matron understood the urgency of the placement and had my uncle
visited in hospital, assessed and transferred to the home within 48 hrs!
Food seemed nutritious and comforting and tea/coffee is frequently offered to residents.
Finally, our family were exhaused after visiting hospital most days for over 3 months and to be able to come & visit a relative in such a tranquil setting was such a relief to us.
Relatives can help themselves to tea/coffee and parking is easy. Staff are always friendly and visiting an ailing family member is made a calm experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words it's lovely to hear you felt supported by all of us. It is lovely to read the whole team receiving recognition for their hard work.
Very happy with his care.

We are very happy for our daughter to go the lovely home. The staff are all very caring and very conscientious with complete attention to detail. Our daughter has to have extra care which can give a lot more work to the staff but they never complain. The home is always lovely and clean and everything is provided for her care.
Thank you so much for the kind review, we are delighted to hear you are feeling cared for and welcome. We will ensure that our team hear your lovely feedback.
Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home is a very warm and happy home, very focused on care and mental well-being. It's a relief to my daughters that I am well cared for.
Thank you so much for the kind review, we are delighted to hear you are feeling cared for and welcome. We will ensure that our team hear your lovely feedback.
Our father dreaded the idea of having to go into a home when the hospital told him in February he was being discharged to one as he had a broken leg. But he has said himself he is very lucky to have everything taken care of and was impressed on discovering the standard of interior decoration and comfort. The staff (nursing, care, activities, catering & management) ensure there is a warm and happy atmosphere. Visitors are made very welcome and are encouraged to join in activities, indeed we have volunteered ourselves and willingly chat with other residents in the lounge. We wouldn't want him to be anywhere else.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. The team at Corrina Lodge take great pride in ensuring everyone in our home is made to feel welcome and at home. Your comments will be shared with everyone at Corrina Lodge.
Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home is like a beautiful but homely hotel. It is clean and bright, The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help. The residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms with items from home and to join in the activities that are run each day. We are so please to have found Corrina Lodge for my Father-in-law to stay in. The care he receives is exactly what you would want for your loved one.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, we will pass your comments onto the team at Corrina Lodge who all work so hard to ensure that everyone is made to feel at home.
Was very happy with the care and attention given to my husband while he was in respite. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. Very lean in all areas. Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home would be my first choice if my husband ever had to go into permanent care.
Thank you for the lovely feedback, we are so delighted to hear that your husband had an enjoyable stay with us and we will share your kind words with the team at Corrina Lodge.
My mum went in for respite care after coming out of hospital. Unfortunately, it did not go well and she had to go back into hospital after five days at the home. The management, the general in particular, were so kind and friendly and helpful. The home seemed very lively and impeccably clean. My only negative comment would be that the rooms are a little small, especially as my mum was not really up to leaving it to explore. One other thing is that the beautiful smart TV was beyond my 93-year-old mother's ability to work, which was a real shame. Thank you to everyone at the home for your help, support and kindness in a difficult time.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We pride ourselves on giving the best care and support we can, even during difficult times. We will pass on the comments to the general manager, team and our dedicated housekeeping at Corrina Lodge.

Meet the Team (9)

I have worked in elderly care since the age of 16, and then at 18, went on to train as a nurse. I have been working as a Registered Manager since 1998, and am passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our residents. I get pleasure from making a difference to the lives of our residents. I have personal experience in finding care as a relative and can understand the challenges you may face in finding good care. My father was in a Barchester care home, and my mother has also had respite care in a Barchester Home.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking cakes, art and craft, gardening and growing vegetables in the allotment. We have a wonderful team here at Corrina Lodge, all with the passion of providing a high level of care to our residents.

My name is Patrycja, and I am the Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at Corrina Lodge.
I trained to become a registered nurse at the Medical University in Poland, which was where I graduated.
I am very invested in Corrina Lodge and have worked here since 2019, initially as a senior nurse.
Previous to this, I enjoyed a position as clinical lead in a dementia unit, which has contributed to my knowledge, understanding and determination to deliver outstanding care.
I am extremely passionate about my job and value the opportunity to really make a difference to our residents’ lives. I have created positive bonds with residents and their families during my time at Corrina and enjoy being part of such a vibrant community. I pride myself on my work ethic and enjoy working with such a dedicated team.

I joined Barchester in March 2026 and am new to the care sector. I have worked in Administration roles throughout my career, with approximately 21 years of experience. The team at Corrina Lodge are amazing, there is a real family feel here, and I have been made to feel so welcome since joining. I am really enjoying working within the care sector, and I am using my experience and knowledge to ensure our home can be the best it can be.
I look forward to welcoming you into our home.

Michelle Llaguno RGN is our Head of Unit; she served for many years as our trainer, operational lead and Care Practitioner. She has been and still is an amazing role model for our younger staff of how far you can come at Corrina Lodge.
Michelle is an exceptional Nurse and a fantastic leader. She also writes all the care rotas for all the staff every week.

Hi, I am Kerry, the Administration Assistant, and I joined in January 2026. I am new to the care sector, but I have extensive administration experience across various industries over many years! Corrina Lodge is a lovely place to be, with friendly, caring staff and wonderful residents whom I enjoy chatting with whilst I am manning the reception desk.

Hello, I’m Mark and I have been elected as Chairman of our Residents' Committee. The committee meets every two months, and we make lifestyle choices for the home.
I’ve lived at Corrina Lodge since 2017, and I have had so much support with activities that it has engaged my interest in all sorts of ways. My interest in art has resurfaced, and I now pursue this hobby actively. I also really enjoy taking photos around the home using my iPad, which get uploaded onto our TV in the reception area and are a great talking point for visitors.
As a spokesperson for our community, I enjoy helping others, welcoming visitors and getting involved with all aspects of life here at the home. I come from a very large family; I am one of nine siblings. My family and friends visit often and have recognised that living at Corrina Lodge has greatly enhanced my life.

Sharon has been at Corrina Lodge since July 1997 and is our longest-serving staff member. She has been Head of Activities twice and only relinquished the role when she was raising her lovely children.
Sharon leads a very strong team of three coordinators supported by Gina and Alina. Sharon also now has quite a collection of volunteers and work experience students. Activities are huge at Corrina Lodge, and Sharon thinks big and always follows through. We like to think that we give everything a try, and the activities that Sharon's team provide are incredibly well attended at Corrina Lodge.

Hi, my name is Sherry, and I have worked at Corrina for over 11 years. I started working as a carer, then progressed to senior carer and then ground floor team leader. I have recently achieved my qualification as a care practitioner. I am really enjoying the challenge and responsibility of my new role.
I am proud to be part of a brilliant team and personally pride myself on managing my floor, supporting residents in a person centred enviroment and ensuring the well-being and happiness of those we support. I have also built up excellent relationships with residents' families and friends.

My name is Kathleen, and I have worked in the care sector all of my working life. I believe I have a good understanding of our residents' needs and always do my utmost to accommodate them.
I love to make home-cooked dishes from scratch and always promote a nutritional diet. I enjoy cooking traditional dishes that residents can relate to and look as good as they taste.
On the naughty but nice side, I pride myself on baking some delicious cakes and biscuits for residents to enjoy.
Nothing is too much trouble, and I will always do my best to create a wonderful dining experience for the Corrina Community.
