We struggled with my mum at home and after a stay in hospital, she needed to be placed. Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home have been fantastic at looking after my mum who has dementia. My mum is happier and says everyone is friendly. We are really pleased with the care and management staff and couldn't have asked for anything more. We all highly recommend Corrina Lodge.

I wanted to thank all at Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home so much for looking after my dad so well since his admission in July and also, by proxy, my mum for whom I think you are a lifeline. Your care, facilities and entertainment are all so well thought out and caringly provided - there is genuine humanity in your home. And I haven't even mentioned the food (it is delicious)! I came to visit again yesterday and was, once more, made to feel so welcome and included and was so impressed by the professionalism of all your staff and events. The Diwali celebration, visited by the mayor, looked wonderful and I'm sure the bonfire night fireworks will go with a bang! Thank you again and keep on doing what you're doing.

We were struggling with looking after my mother-in-law at our home, her dementia was making her angry and violent and we, especially me being the primary carer, were struggling. She took an overdose and went to hospital and eventually for a 28-day assessment. We looked at other care homes and none compared to Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home. The staff are amazing and my mother-in-law is very happy here. The manager and administrator are amazing! Kudos to them as it feels like and actual home there.

My dad become a resident at this lovely care home about two weeks ago. I am surprised and delighted at the quality of care my dad is receiving. He really enjoys the food. The staff are very attentive. If my dad called for help, someone is with him in seconds. The medical staff are very persistent in trying to solve my dad's health problems and they work very hard to improve his quality of life. I cannot recommend Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home enough.

Mum has been at Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home for over a year and we (children) are so happy and relieved she was able to move there. Since arriving, her condition (Alzheimer's) has sadly deteriorated but she has been respected and well cared for at all times. The facility is fresh and clean, the staff are the most caring we could imagine and the activities and social life are in abundance! We couldn't have wished her to be anywhere better and we know she's safe and well cared for. I'd be very happy to live there! Thank you Corrina Lodge team.

Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home is absolutely amazing, the care my mum has received has been amazing. She is lactose intolerant and the chef went out of her way to find butter so she could make Mum cakes! All the staff are fabulous, they do activities to encourage the residents to socialise. My mum hasn't looked this good for a long time. As a family, we know that Mum couldn't be looked after any better.

From the first point of contact with the very calm manager who made us feel relaxed immediately, along with the front of house staff. We were made to feel comfortable and important at a distressing time for our family.
Four, carers, in particular, were truly amazing and very patient, along with all the other individual staff throughout day and night who played a massive part, so genuinely caring towards Mum on her end-of-life care. The garden is beautiful and we were able to come and go as we pleased. Food is always great and we were fed homemade cakes constantly! The head chef is very talented.

I feel like we were cared for as well as Mum.

My 93-year-old mum has lived in Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home for four years. She is very much part of the family there and all the staff treat her with kindness and respect. As her condition and needs have changed, they have adjusted her care and meet with us regularly to discuss this. They are very keen to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with meals, cakes, cards and flowers. The staff are caring and supportive and there is a happy, friendly atmosphere about the home.

Thank you Corrina Lodge.

I am in a care home for the first time so my comments are based on what I have experienced here not versus any other care home.

I am, overall, very happy with all aspects of care received from carers, nursing staff, catering, housekeeping and management. The rooms are comfortable and maintained to a high standard. I believe the building is now twenty-seven years old and some of the services are showing their age. Any problem is dealt with but re-occurrence is now happening with older equipment.

Overall Experience
I was transferred to Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home at the end of December 2023 after a seven-and-a-half-month stay in hospital, following a viral meningitis attack which took away the use of my legs. As I was now a wheelchair user, my property was not suitable and needs to be sold to get a more suitable home enabling me to lead a useful life contributing to society still.

My borough council found Corrina Lodge for me in respite care until this all happens. So I have been at the care home for four and a half months now, the food is excellent and there is a wide range of activities which I take part in, if of interest. I also run a quiz for fellow residents which is well received. Through my connections in the entertainment business, I also provided a magician last week for International Nurses Day, who was very well received. I am also trying to help the staff with promoting the home through my connections in the local area.

My mother moved here several months ago after losing her ability to walk or stand up unsupported. Under the care of the Corrina Lodge team, my mother is eating well, enjoying social events with other residents and is really happy living there. The team seem really helpful and happy. They are always ready to help with enquiries or requests we ask for. Since being at Corrina Lodge, my mother seems to be relaxed, even having the occasional sherry and having her nails painted for the first time. A great place to live and be cared for.
