The day was very special, it gives the people the chance to be involved and enjoy the day together. My grandad enjoyed his time with his family. The food and entertainment was great.
Thank you for your feedback, we welcome all feedback. It is a pleasure to have your grandfather with us.
Despite arrangements needing to be made at short notice, they were able to sort out accommodation very quickly and the transition from hospital to the home was done smoothly and efficiently.
The room was lovely, with access to the garden and very nicely furnished.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The manager, admin staff, and nursing staff were always welcoming, caring and quick to respond.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Corrina Lodge to anyone.
Thank you for referring your friend to us. It was a pleasure to have been able to assist your friend during her recovery after her surgery.
Exceptional care and a lovely event.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed our event.
My husband has been at Corrina Lodge Care Home for sixteen months. He requires nursing care and has always been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The care is professional and consistent, with all aspects of medical requirements constantly monitored and updated. One of the comforting aspects is that care staff turnover is minimal, which is very important for the wellbeing of the patients. This home is a caring, efficient unit with management encouraging that standards are maintained.
Thank you for your lovely feedback which is a true reflection of the services we provide.
I've not been here very long but I can honestly say I have been treated with respect by all the staff, for which I say a massive thank you for allowing myself to be able to keep my dignity. If there are new ladies and gentlemen coming here then they will truly love it here.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are pleased that you are enjoying your stay with us.
I have nothing but gratitude and kind words to describe my feelings covering how the marvellous management and staff cared for my mother in the year or so that she was a resident. If it was possible to give a rating of 11 out of 10, I would.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback regarding our home.
On arrival, greeted warmingly and invited to have a refreshment. My mother was comfortable sitting in her chair. All staff were friendly, kind and polite. The staff were attentive and communicative. Her room is comfortable with a door opening out into a garden. Food was varied and nutritious. Mum has been in Corrina Lodge for about 2 years. Since then I have made friends with several staff members. They all work very hard and do what they can to make my mother comfortable. The only downside is Mum's room is a little smelly, the carpet is due to be changed soon.
Thank you for your feedback. We welcome all comments and suggestions and have noted your comment. Our housekeeping has looked into this.
I am very impressed with Corrina Lodge Care Home. You get a very warm welcome when you enter the home and there is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are very cosy and have everything to make life comfortable. I visit a dear family friend who is very content and happy. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Entertainment is very good and varied to suit everyone. My friend tells me the meals are excellent and she enjoys her meals. I've visited many local care homes and Corrins Lodge is the best by far.
Thank you for your lovely feedback regarding our home.
When I first visited Corrina Lodge I was very warmly welcomed and shown where I could access coffee and cake. Having seen my stepmother, I also saw the lunch arrangements. Today, I was lucky enough to witness first-hand the afternoon activities involving music and quizzes. The organiser was bright and bubbly and involved all the residents, who obviously adored her. It was joyous seeing the resident's reactions and obvious appreciation. Although my stepmother did not engage at the end, the lady stoked her hand kindly. What a delight to see and of the care being offered.
Thank you for the lovely feedback regarding our home.
My daughter has been a resident of Barchester Corrina Lodge for ten years. As a family, we feel lucky that we found this home. Choosing a care home for a loved one is very daunting but we soon realised that Corrina is a family of staff who cares about their residents. They are treated with respect, dignity and humour. Many of the staff who greeted us then are still working at Corrina now which tells its own story. All the staff are friendly and approachable, they cheer me up, I can't fault them. Always there to help and assist, my daughter is well cared for and above all, she is happy. Should I need to speak to our manager, his door is always open.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. It is a pleasure to have your daughter in our care. Please look out for weekly events within the home.
I believe the manager at Corrina Lodge Care Home is a good caring man who leads by example, this shines through to the staff at Corrona Lodge. Although things aren't always perfect, I feel the staff do the very best they can with the resources they have available. Most importantly I do feel my mum is cared for with compassion.
Thank you for your lovely comments regarding our home.
My family and I were extremely happy with the team looking after our mum, from the day she arrived on 04/02/2022 until the day she died. They were kind and thoughtful with her from beginning to end. Everyone from cleaners, carers, nurses and management couldn't have been better.
Many thanks for the lovely review regarding our home. This is indeed a true reflection of our care for our residents in our home.
A big thank you to the amazing staff at Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home. You have all provided such excellent care for my mum while she was a resident. Both my brother and myself are eternally grateful. I was always greeted with a welcoming smile and such lovely kindness from the reception staff, nursing and catering staff. You are what makes this place special. When my lovely mum passed away, the kindness and dignity provided was outstanding. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for the lovely feedback regarding our home.
Very friendly, kind and caring home. Great nursing, great management and activities team.
Our mum has been a resident at Corrina Lodge for over a year. The staff have been wonderful, caring, kind and considerate. The manager has a fabulous team. We are grateful to them all for caring for our mum.
Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home gave my mum the most wonderful love and care in the last few months of her life. That care and thoughtfulness was also extended to us. Whenever we walked through the door we were greeted with smiles and warmth from every member of staff. I last visited my mum the day before she passed away. I had taken some red roses although I don't think she was aware at that point. Mum passed in the early hours of the next day. When my brother went to visit that afternoon to pay his respects Mum's body was peacefully laid out on her bed surrounded by the red roses and the funeral director said when they went to collect her she had a rose in her hand for the journey. A memory I will always have.
Activities staff are first class - Dad is very limited, and they always include him. Very caring staff, but management needs to train new staff in Daf's learning device - understanding impact of his stoke etc. Always doesn't happen when new staff come in.
My granny is 96 and is bedridden now. The care she has received since she has been there is outstanding. The staff are amazing and can't do enough for her. We are so pleased we chose Corrina Lodge for her to spend her resting days.
The only thing I can say is fantastic.
The staff at Corrina Lodge really do go the extra mile, I visit every day and have consistently witnessed members of staff show genuine compassion and professionalism towards residents. I have found the reception welcoming and covid protocols upheld, which is reassuring. The carers and housekeeping are constantly milling around and will offer additional assistance should you require it. The nurses will always find the time to answer any questions I have. The manager is committed and knowledgeable, and I have seen him come in even on his day off. The chef is very considerate and makes every effort to cater for mums particular needs, and I appreciate this. My mum is happy at Corrina Lodge, and I have peace of mind knowing she is in a safe and well-managed environment. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review.

Meet the Team (9)

I have worked in elderly care since the age of 16, and then at 18, went on to train as a nurse. I have been working as a Registered Manager since 1998, and am passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our residents. I get pleasure from making a difference to the lives of our residents. I have personal experience in finding care as a relative and can understand the challenges you may face in finding good care. My father was in a Barchester care home, and my mother has also had respite care in a Barchester Home.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking cakes, art and craft, gardening and growing vegetables in the allotment. We have a wonderful team here at Corrina Lodge, all with the passion of providing a high level of care to our residents.

My name is Patrycja, and I am the Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at Corrina Lodge.
I trained to become a registered nurse at the Medical University in Poland, which was where I graduated.
I am very invested in Corrina Lodge and have worked here since 2019, initially as a senior nurse.
Previous to this, I enjoyed a position as clinical lead in a dementia unit, which has contributed to my knowledge, understanding and determination to deliver outstanding care.
I am extremely passionate about my job and value the opportunity to really make a difference to our residents’ lives. I have created positive bonds with residents and their families during my time at Corrina and enjoy being part of such a vibrant community. I pride myself on my work ethic and enjoy working with such a dedicated team.

I joined Barchester in March 2026 and am new to the care sector. I have worked in Administration roles throughout my career, with approximately 21 years of experience. The team at Corrina Lodge are amazing, there is a real family feel here, and I have been made to feel so welcome since joining. I am really enjoying working within the care sector, and I am using my experience and knowledge to ensure our home can be the best it can be.
I look forward to welcoming you into our home.

Michelle Llaguno RGN is our Head of Unit; she served for many years as our trainer, operational lead and Care Practitioner. She has been and still is an amazing role model for our younger staff of how far you can come at Corrina Lodge.
Michelle is an exceptional Nurse and a fantastic leader. She also writes all the care rotas for all the staff every week.

Hi, I am Kerry, the Administration Assistant, and I joined in January 2026. I am new to the care sector, but I have extensive administration experience across various industries over many years! Corrina Lodge is a lovely place to be, with friendly, caring staff and wonderful residents whom I enjoy chatting with whilst I am manning the reception desk.

Hello, I’m Mark and I have been elected as Chairman of our Residents' Committee. The committee meets every two months, and we make lifestyle choices for the home.
I’ve lived at Corrina Lodge since 2017, and I have had so much support with activities that it has engaged my interest in all sorts of ways. My interest in art has resurfaced, and I now pursue this hobby actively. I also really enjoy taking photos around the home using my iPad, which get uploaded onto our TV in the reception area and are a great talking point for visitors.
As a spokesperson for our community, I enjoy helping others, welcoming visitors and getting involved with all aspects of life here at the home. I come from a very large family; I am one of nine siblings. My family and friends visit often and have recognised that living at Corrina Lodge has greatly enhanced my life.

Sharon has been at Corrina Lodge since July 1997 and is our longest-serving staff member. She has been Head of Activities twice and only relinquished the role when she was raising her lovely children.
Sharon leads a very strong team of three coordinators supported by Gina and Alina. Sharon also now has quite a collection of volunteers and work experience students. Activities are huge at Corrina Lodge, and Sharon thinks big and always follows through. We like to think that we give everything a try, and the activities that Sharon's team provide are incredibly well attended at Corrina Lodge.

Hi, my name is Sherry, and I have worked at Corrina for over 11 years. I started working as a carer, then progressed to senior carer and then ground floor team leader. I have recently achieved my qualification as a care practitioner. I am really enjoying the challenge and responsibility of my new role.
I am proud to be part of a brilliant team and personally pride myself on managing my floor, supporting residents in a person centred enviroment and ensuring the well-being and happiness of those we support. I have also built up excellent relationships with residents' families and friends.

My name is Kathleen, and I have worked in the care sector all of my working life. I believe I have a good understanding of our residents' needs and always do my utmost to accommodate them.
I love to make home-cooked dishes from scratch and always promote a nutritional diet. I enjoy cooking traditional dishes that residents can relate to and look as good as they taste.
On the naughty but nice side, I pride myself on baking some delicious cakes and biscuits for residents to enjoy.
Nothing is too much trouble, and I will always do my best to create a wonderful dining experience for the Corrina Community.
