This has been a return visit, and I am pleased to say that Cossins House is as good as it has always been (last visit 3 years ago). Same excellent staff, same lovely atmosphere, same high standards in every respect. A very good friend of mine had a lovely chapter here and I am pleased to say Cossins House feels just the same, long may it continue to do so.
Thank you so much for your time to give us this lovely feedback. Much appreciated
The food is excellent and varied and is prepared by the Cossins House chef. There is a variety of entertainment from visiting singers and performers and a number of visits to local destinations using the house bus.
The staff have a very good rapport with the local health centre and a GP visits every week.
Overall I think Cossins House is an extremely well run care home with a very happy and homely atmosphere. I would recommend it highly.

Cossins Care Home has been absolutely wonderful for my Mum who has been a resident for the last year and a half. The staff are absolutely wonderful, caring and thougtful people and Mum is very fond of them. The gardens are so pretty with flowers and shrubs and you will often find the chickens and their chicks out and about in the flower beds. There is plenty of entertainment, games, quizes and special occasions like BBQs and Summer Parties. I cannot recommend Cossins House highly enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback. It means so much to us all . I will ensure it is shared with the team.
My mother has been resident at Cossins House for more than two years. She has been receiving excellent care throughout that time and finds the home comfortable and homely, and is able to choose well-cooked meals that suit her taste. The staff are exemplary, providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment. Several of them have worked at Cossins for many years, and every member of staff knows my mum, and our family, and treat her with dignity and as an individual. Although the building is old it is kept in immaculate condition, with well decorated en-suite rooms which look out over the lovely gardens. We could not be happier with the care that our mum receives at Cossins House.
Thank you for your lovely comments and praise .We are very humbled and grateful for your response. We will share your feedback with the staff
It's not just the physical environment that makes Cossins House exceptional (delicious food and beautiful gardens) - it is the attentive, compassionate and patient care given by all staff. Seamless co-ordination between the team and local services gives confidence that the medical needs of residents are met and pre-empted, taking away a lot of worry. The atmosphere is friendly and staff are always ready with a smile and a sense of humour. Varied activities are provided and are adjusted dependent on residents' abilities and interests. Staff take the trouble to get to know residents and tailor their care to their habits, likes and dislikes. Thank you to the Cossins Team who go above and beyond.
Thank you for your lovely review which I will make sure I share with the team. They are always so pleased when they hear such positive feedback.

Healthcare has always been the driving force of my career, ever since I trained as a Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines for 10 years.
I moved to the UK in 2003, joining Cossins House as a Care Assistant, working my way up eventually to Deputy Manager and now General Manager.
As a General Manager, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Barchester policies.
As a leader, I will demonstrate an open and transparent culture, whereby my staff feel valued and developed.
As a team, we have achieved the prestigious Gold Standard Framework (GSF) Award-Platinum Status and a CQC 'Outstanding' in the Care Domain.
As a person, I am kind, calm and patient. I love to spend time video calling and chatting with my family back home. I am a mother of one child and happily married.

I started my career in the care industry as a Senior Care Assistant way back in 2006 in Nottingham, before moving to Surrey in 2010. I find my role really fulfilling!

I am the Activity Leader here at Cossins House and provide a large number of activities. We work on a person-centred approach for each of our residents. We work as a team to engage with everyone and work to the needs of each resident. We have lots of fun and games indoors and outdoors, trips out, LIVE music and entertainment and one-to-one sessions.
We have a Holy Communion service every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and a hairdresser who visits every other Monday. We are always open to new ideas and have volunteers coming in each week. We work closely with Pet Therapy and have several dogs visiting. We work with local schools, who sing for us every Christmas.

Catherine has been at Cossins House for 7 years and is responsible for ensuring that the administration of the home runs smoothly and effectively. This includes both our management accounts and payroll.

Manny is responsible for ensuring our residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.

I started my career as a chef in 2008 and joined Cossins House in 2019. I am passionate about working with fresh produce, creating well-balanced, seasonal menus focused on residents' choices and the nutritional value of the dishes. I enjoy having a chat with the residents and their visitors to get to know more about their likes and dislikes. I cook with a dedication to ensure the residents enjoy their meals.

Alex demonstrates a true passion for gardening by cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in our gardens with colourful flowers and vibrant, wide-open spaces that benefit our residents and wildlife alike.

I'm responsible for the home's cleanliness, and I make sure everything is tidy and in order. I also make sure the home smells inviting. See you all soon!

I am a Senior Care Assistant at Cossins House and work nightshifts. I have worked in the care setting for many years and have a true passion in taking great care of all our residents.
