My husband was in Burwood Grange for one week - as a respite stay, I am his full time carer and needed rest. The management was very co-operating and agreed to take him in for a week as this may be repeated in future. He was happy with the food, room and the care he recieved, carers were kind, helpful & smiling. He enjoyed the food variety different from home. He also enjoyed the social aspect & activities.

Having looked around Burwood Grange as a potential care home for my mother for the future, I was invited to a talk about Dementia which was held in one of the many comfortable lounges. The building is beautiful presented, the staff are welcoming combining professionalism with informality and I have been immediately given an outstanding and much appreciated level of support and understanding. The journey of a parent into old age and dementia is a very steep learning curve and I am very grateful to have been helped by so much useful information and have been given so much time. I can't imagine a better place for my mother's future care.

BG has exceeded my expectations. What I particularly like is the integrated way in which the seniors and care staff work, helping residents to chairs when an activity is on in a different room, fetching chairs, talking to the residents by name as well as their visitors.

It is a luxurious care home which feels busy and sociable, yet calm. The facilities and activities are first class and plentiful. Those on the dementia wing are encouraged to join in and do - music, singing, trips on the BG bus. My husband flourishes in their care.

My father has recently had a short respite stay at Barchester Burwood Grange Care Home and all of the staff made him and the rest of our family feel very welcome. Replace my grandmother at Burwood for four weeks while my grandfather recovered from an operation. We were impressed with how friendly everyone was and how well she was looked after. Everything was clean and she was provided with good meals and lots of company. We will likely use the home in the future.

Mum came here on respite care, and the staff could not have done any more to make Mum welcome and support us both. Since Mum arrived, worried about being in a home, she has had the most wonderful experience. She has been made to feel a million dollars. Cared for every minute and thoroughly enjoys every day. Mum is now a permanent resident and part of the Burwood family. Thank you so much!

We arrived at Barchester Burwood Grange Care Home in crisis as my father went into hospital with a suspected stroke and my mother has dementia and complex needs. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with compassion, care and reassurance. All the staff gave me ample time to discuss our needs and made Mum feel at ease. The grounds and facilities are outstanding, clean, well-equipped and appropriate. During her respite stay, we now feel confident that she will be treated respectfully and we have peace of mind while my dad recovers.
