Following a severe fall & painful hip operation I went to Bere Grove for Respite I had excellent care, kindness & understanding from all the staff at Bere Grove.

It is a beautiful place to stay calm & quiet, comfortable rooms, gardens that are safe, in beautiful surroundings. Healthy delicious meals, particularly the meat dishes and deserts, but need more variety in menu. Home made cake & cookies everyday. Interesting activities but need a library downstairs also music to play in lounges. My medication needed extra attention from senior carers always there to assist me.

Professional and welcoming, easy to engage with. A shout out to Allison for communicating how my father was settling in to a new home.

My dad went in for a 2 week respite and has now returned home. We are hopefull that when home becomes too much that he returns here permanently.

After a three week stay in hospital following a fall which resulted in a broken ankle, I needed a care home where I could receive proactive respite care. Before returning to my home in Birmingham.
My daughter visited Barchester Bere Grove and was impressed with the facilities offered.

I moved in for a two week stay and was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and subsequent discreet but firm encouragement to get back to nearer normality. This has had the desired effect and I would be more that happy to recommend this establishment.

My father came for respite for 2 weeks after a hospital stay after breaking his ankle. Main goal was to get him mobile enough to return home. Mission succeeded. Staff and management were very supportive. Always friendly and approachable at all times. Food here is amazing, Freshly cooked and served piping hot. As a visitor the homemade cake and hot beverages are an added bonus

Prior to Mum going into Bere Grove both my sister and I were concerned about how she would settle. However as soon as she arrived all the staff made her feel so welcome, we all relaxed. Mum has now been there for over 3 weeks, and she is loving it. She's made friends, loves the activities, the trips and of course the amazing food.

My name is Pule, and I have the privilege of being the Deputy Manager here at Bere Grove.

There’s nothing more rewarding than having a positive impact on someone’s life, and that is why I enjoy my role. One of the key duties as a Deputy Manager is to ensure my team delivers person-centred care, supporting our residents’ independence, as it can be challenging for someone to leave their home and come and live in a different place. I started working for Barchester when I was 19 years old, as a carer and then became a care practitioner in a nursing home before being promoted to Deputy Manager.

My family is of great value to me, and I would like the families of each of our residents to know I am caring for their loved ones in the same way I would hope my family would be cared for.
