My name is Graham Allen, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Senior General Manager here at Bere Grove Care Home.

I bring a wealth of experience in both commercial and operational aspects of healthcare facilities, gained across diverse settings in the UK and my native South Africa. Much of my career has focused on strong strategy and execution, particularly within the private healthcare sector, a space where Barchester is a recognised leader.

As a seasoned General Manager, my foremost passion lies in delivering exceptional, personalised care to our residents. I strive to ensure the highest standards of support from every member of the Bere Grove Care Home team, empowering residents to live fulfilling lives. Working alongside our residents, their loved ones, and our dedicated staff brings me immense satisfaction.

Hi, my name is Vickie, and I am the Administrator at Bere Grove.

I feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful home. I am really passionate about supporting our residents and their loved ones, making sure everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and cared for. I hope that people see me as a friendly face and someone they can always turn to when they visit us.

What I love most about my role is building connections with residents, families, and our amazing team. Every day brings something new, and it’s such a privilege to share in the special moments and milestones of life here at Bere Grove.

I'm Rachel, and I joined Bere Grove Care Home in August 2025 as the Home Services Advisor, bringing with me a strong background in admissions within the independent education sector.

With a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and support, I'm dedicated to helping residents and their families feel welcome and confident in Bere Grove from the very first interaction. I take great care to ensure that we offer the very best care, activities and entertainment as well as beautiful rooms and suites, to ensure that life in our home truly feels like a home from home, whether you are here as a permanent resident or here for respite.

I pride myself on getting to know each of our residents and their families, and on making every new arrival feel right at home with a smooth and seamless transition into life at Bere Grove. Nothing to much trouble.

Hello, I'm Clare. I joined the Bere Grove team in September 2025 as Activities Lead. I have over 10 years of experience in the care sector. I started my journey as a support worker and progressed to my current role. I am passionate about creating moments of joy and making residents smile, ensuring every day is engaging and meaningful.

My favourite activities at home include exercise sessions and organising special events. I like to bring energy and enthusiasm to everything I plan for the residents.

Hello, I'm Ella. I am originally from Romania however have lived here in England with my two sons for nine years now.

As Head housekeeper, myself and my team will be responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of this beautiful home. I will ensure that everyone who visits will have a memorable and welcoming experience.

I have been involved in catering for over 2 years, mainly working in Hotels and Restaurants.

The knowledge I have gained from these previous roles within the hospitality industry helped me settle very comfortably into my role here at Bere Grove

I really enjoy my role here at Bere Grove especially the interaction with the residents.

Planning and cooking a well-balanced nutritious meal for each resident is satisfying.

Hello, my name is Paul and I am the Head of Maintenance at Bere Grove. I have worked in the care home/maintenance industry for a long time now and thoroughly enjoy the ins and outs of keeping a beautiful home like this up and running. Supporting our residents to live in a safe and luxurious environment is top of my list. I feel very privileged to work with Barchester and my team here and look forward to many years at home.

Hello, It's Jackie. My role here at Bere Grove is to be the first face that our visitors see when they enter the home. I will ensure they all receive a warm welcome. I can't wait to immerse myself into my role and do everything I can to support everyone who visits or joins the Bere family as their forever home.

Hey, my name is Caron. I have spent the last eight years caring in the community and really enjoy giving back to our elderly. I am a Senior on the team which means I can support in all aspects of care including the safe delivery of medication. My motto is always to treat people as you want to be treated yourself. It really works. I have three children and currently two grandchildren, but you never know there may be more one day.

Hi, I am Jade. I am part of the senior care team. It has been amazing to be part of the opening of this home and to start welcoming our new residents. I am looking forward to the home continuing to grow. I worked in the community for four years. My nature is that is want to help people and make a difference. In my spare time, I love time at home and a good documentary.

Hi, I am Sarah. For the last 20 years, I worked as an administrator in the Motor trade. I started helping my elderly neighbour with shopping, gardening and delivering meals. I just loved how it made me feel and knew I wanted to pursue a career in care. I then went to care in the community until I joined the Bere Grove team. I enjoy every day, from listening to the stories, making people smile and becoming part of their family.

I have worked in care since I was 16. It is a role I really enjoy and love getting to know our residents as well as being an integral part of the team.

Hello, my name is Kate and I am a senior night carer here at Bere Grove.

I have 18 years’ experience in care and I am very passionate about the quality of care, ensuring residents' needs and wishes are met. I love meeting new faces and getting to know the residents.
