I am delighted to introduce myself as the new General Manager of Crandon Springs.
A little bit about me: I began my career in care in 2011 as a Senior Care Assistant. Since then, I have advanced through roles such as Team Leader and Deputy, culminating in management positions. Alongside my career in care, I have also managed a large portfolio of properties and led teams, which has enriched my experience in both fields. Although my childhood dream was to become a registered nurse, I am grateful to have found a fulfilling career within this sector. My focus is always on delivering exceptional care and service, ensuring safety, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Personally, I live in Yeovil, Somerset, and grew up in the beautiful Dorset countryside. I share my life with my partner Ryan, my two stepchildren, and our two dogs. We cherish exploring the scenic landscapes of Somerset and Dorset.
I am committed to supporting our team at Crandon Springs and am eager to enhance our community's reputation. I maintain an open-door policy and welcome any feedback you may have. Your insights are invaluable in helping us provide the best care possible.
I’m Darius Ivana, the Deputy General Manager at Crandon Springs, having joined the team in February 2025. With over five years of experience in the care sector, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting elderly people and ensuring that their needs are met with the utmost compassion and professionalism. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of care settings, always with a focus on delivering person-centred care and promoting the well-being of those I support. Prior to Crandon Springs I started by career with Barchester Homes at Cadbury Hall as Deputy General Manager in 2024.
At Crandon Springs, one of my core responsibilities is to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of care and a positive environment for both residents and staff. I’m committed to making sure that our residents’ needs are met on a daily basis, providing them with the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.
In addition to resident care, I place great importance on the well-being and support of our staff. I believe a happy and well-supported team is key to delivering outstanding care. I work closely with staff to ensure they have the resources, training, and support they need to excel in their roles, and I encourage a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Together, we aim to provide exceptional care and create a positive, supportive atmosphere for everyone at Cadbury Hall.
I’m also in the process of completing my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, which will further enhance my ability to lead with confidence and insight. As I continue to grow in my role, I’m excited to work alongside such a dedicated team, continually striving to improve the lives of our residents and contribute to the ongoing success of Crandon Springs.

Some of our residents often remind me of the time they watched me perform whilst dressed as a pumpkin!
