Welcome to Crandon Springs Care Home. My main responsibility as General Manager is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home and the highest standards of care.
I bring experience from both nursing and residential care settings, with a particular focus on supporting people living with dementia. I am committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where all our residents feel secure, valued and truly at home. I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care that respects each individual’s needs, dignity and independence.
I am dedicated to supporting the General Manager and the wider staff team at Crandon Springs to ensure our residents receive high-quality, person-centred care, and our home achieves excellence across all areas of the service we provide.
Originally from South India, I hold a Master's in Marketing Management from the University of Greenwich and a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about ensuring our residents receive compassionate, quality care while also fostering a supportive, team-focused environment for staff. Having worked for Barchester Healthcare for several years, I use my breadth of experience to achieve this aim.
Hello my name is Karen, I am the Admin Manager here at Crandon Springs. I feel very privileged to be a part of the team and make a difference in our resident’s life. No day is the same here, which I absolutely love!
When I'm not busy keeping the home running smoothly, I love to travel and explore new places, am a big Manchester City fan and love music. I will often be one of the first faces that you'll see here, so I look forward to welcoming you into our wonderful home.
With over 40 years of culinary experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and creativity to my role of Head Chef, alongside my commitment to resident wellbeing.
My culinary journey began in the armed forces, where I catered for specialist teams, including bomb disposal and diving units. This early experience instilled in me the value of good nourishment to maintain physical health and emotional well-being, and the importance of precision and teamwork, all qualities I have carried throughout my career. I later honed my skills in some of Wells' most respected restaurants and also worked in care home catering, providing me with insight into the nutritional needs of older adults.
I enjoy designing delicious, home-cooked meals tailored to residents' preferences and dietary requirements, and I am passionate about making a meaningful difference through food. It's incredibly rewarding to see the pleasure a well-prepared meal can bring to someone's day, alongside vital nutritional benefits.
I previously ran my own property maintenance company for many years and, after relocating, joined Crandon Springs Care Home. It really is a stunning home with lovely residents and staff and I work hard to maintain its high standards, every day.
I am a Care Community Lead. Compassionate committed to caring and supporting our residents. I am proud to work at Crandon Springs.
I have a wealth of experience in the care sector, and moved to work at Crandon Springs because of the home's reputation for outstanding care.
