I have always found the staff kind and helpful whenever I have visited the home and I believer that my mother is being very well cared for. I appreciate the cups of tea that you are offered when I come to see my mother. I think that the carers provide comfort and reassurance when my mother requires
it. The standard of the food and hygiene appears to be high and my mother's general health, as a result, is good. Overall the standard of care is good.

Mum stayed for 2 weeks respite at Crandon Springs and has already declared that she is happy to go back. She enjoyed the activities as well as the food, the staff are all lovely and very caring. The process of booking her in was very easy and straightforward, and I am very relieved to have found
somewhere I know that Mum is happy to stay and willing to go to.

My Mum moved into Crandon Springs on the 18th of October. The support and service we have had from all staff from the very first contact with the Home Service Adviser to her moving in and beyond have been exceptional. The assessment process to ensure that Crandon Springs could meet her needs was thorough,
she was able to visit and was well supported to be provided with will all the information she needed, without overwhelming her. Myself and my sister had a longer tour and time to talk to the team. I must admit it all sounded so good I was a bit sceptical that they would be able to deliver on their promises – they have and exceeded them.
Mum had been living in another care home for a year and in this time her physical and emotional health had deteriorated. Since being at Crandon Springs Mum has become more physically fit, it is easier for her to walk around and get exercise, and she is beginning to put on weight, thanks to the wonderful food. The staff at Crandon springs are supporting her to make friends.

My mother went to Crandon Springs for two weeks respite following a long stay in hospital. She was made to feel very welcome by both staff and residents. The accommodation was excellent in the bedrooms and the public spaces and she very much enjoyed the gardens and the fact that she had direct access
to them from her room. It was the perfect step down from the hospital to allow my mother to improve her mobility and build confidence. Overall the care was excellent throughout. There were some service inconsistencies which we believe are probably due to staff shortages. For example some days the bathroom was not serviced and food quality was variable.

The premises are first class and all the staff have been extremely kind and helpful. They have cared for the resident as I would expect to be treated myself from the first day he arrived even though some days have been quite challenging. The food always looks great and as he has a good appetite there's
plenty of it. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and I hope this continues.

We are very pleased with the choice of Crandon Springs for mum's care home. She seems to be very happy there and has made a number of friends in a short time. It was obviously a very difficult decision for us all to make on mum's behalf, as she was so keen to stay at home for as long as possible, but
the transfer to CS was very smooth and we were well assisted by the staff at the home. We are relieved that she is safe and happy and being well looked after and the staff have been particularly helpful during a difficult time for us all.

My parents moved into Crandon Springs shortly after it opened in April, and I have nothing but praise and admiration for the staff team. Nothing phases them, and the care they have given to a couple, one of whom is suffering from dementia is, in my opinion exemplary. The initial visit, registration,
and moving in process were really easy, relieving pressure at a time of high stress for the whole family. The facilities at Crandon are excellent, and it is a lovely environment for the residents, with meticulous standards being maintained throughout. There is a constant flow of activities that they both join in with and enjoy, both when mixing with other residents or on a one-to-one basis. The Management Team is very ' hands-on', getting involved with the residents, and the care, activities, and support staff are also exceptional! I would not hesitate to recommend Crandon Springs to anyone who was looking for the best care for themselves or their loved ones.

My Sister has now been at Barchester Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells for 3 months she has blossomed from being frustrated and angitated being self-isolated to a happy and willing participant and enjoying her days.
Everyone at her home are determined to help her fulfil her days .

My father moved in a couple of weeks ago. He was able to choose his own room. It is beautifully furnished, with a lovely wet room bathroom and a smart TV. He has a lovely patio area outside his flat which looks onto the garden.
The home is fresh and brand new, like a hotel. There is a lovely cafe
area as you go in the residence where you can sit.
I have found all the staff to be obliging and caring. My father seems very content and he loves the food. He had joined in some of the activities that the home offers also.
I hope this home goes from strength and it will be lovely to see it bustling when more people take up residence.

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new General Manager of Crandon Springs.


A little bit about me: I began my career in care in 2011 as a Senior Care Assistant. Since then, I have advanced through roles such as Team Leader and Deputy, culminating in management positions. Alongside my career in care, I have also managed a large portfolio of properties and led teams, which has enriched my experience in both fields. Although my childhood dream was to become a registered nurse, I am grateful to have found a fulfilling career within this sector. My focus is always on delivering exceptional care and service, ensuring safety, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.


Personally, I live in Yeovil, Somerset, and grew up in the beautiful Dorset countryside. I share my life with my partner Ryan, my two stepchildren, and our two dogs. We cherish exploring the scenic landscapes of Somerset and Dorset.


I am committed to supporting our team at Crandon Springs and am eager to enhance our community's reputation. I maintain an open-door policy and welcome any feedback you may have. Your insights are invaluable in helping us provide the best care possible.

I’m Darius Ivana, the Deputy General Manager at Crandon Springs, having joined the team in February 2025. With over five years of experience in the care sector, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting elderly people and ensuring that their needs are met with the utmost compassion and professionalism. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of care settings, always with a focus on delivering person-centred care and promoting the well-being of those I support. Prior to Crandon Springs I started by career with Barchester Homes at Cadbury Hall as Deputy General Manager in 2024.
At Crandon Springs, one of my core responsibilities is to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of care and a positive environment for both residents and staff. I’m committed to making sure that our residents’ needs are met on a daily basis, providing them with the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.
In addition to resident care, I place great importance on the well-being and support of our staff. I believe a happy and well-supported team is key to delivering outstanding care. I work closely with staff to ensure they have the resources, training, and support they need to excel in their roles, and I encourage a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Together, we aim to provide exceptional care and create a positive, supportive atmosphere for everyone at Cadbury Hall.
I’m also in the process of completing my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, which will further enhance my ability to lead with confidence and insight. As I continue to grow in my role, I’m excited to work alongside such a dedicated team, continually striving to improve the lives of our residents and contribute to the ongoing success of Crandon Springs.
