My name is Graham Allen, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Senior General Manager here at The Manor Care Home.

I bring a wealth of experience in both commercial and operational aspects of healthcare facilities, gained across diverse settings in the UK and my native South Africa. Much of my career has focused on strong strategy and execution, particularly within the private healthcare sector – a space where Barchester is a recognised leader.

As a seasoned General Manager, my foremost passion lies in delivering exceptional, personalised care to our residents. I strive to ensure the highest standards of support from every member of The Manor Care Home team, empowering residents to live fulfilling lives. Working alongside our residents, their loved ones, and our dedicated staff brings me immense satisfaction.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the consistently positive feedback we receive. The Manor fosters a truly positive environment, and we extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to visit us.

Throughout my nursing career, I have had the privilege of caring for people living with dementia, which has been both rewarding and inspiring. I joined The Manor Care Home team in 2019 and enjoy leading a dedicated team of staff who are committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care.

Our home has excellent systems in place that support the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, and I am passionate about ensuring every individual feels valued, respected, and cared for.

Hello, my name is Sharon, and I have had the pleasure of working at The Manor for over 25 years - needless to say, I truly love it here!

In 2015, I qualified as a Care Practitioner, and my role continues to be as challenging as it is rewarding. I have been working in care since the day of my 18th birthday, and supporting residents has always been my passion.

I truly enjoy welcoming new residents, their families, and visitors into our home. Being the first friendly face people see is something I take pride in, and I love helping everyone feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive.

I have been part of The Manor Care Home since 2012, starting as a kitchen assistant, where I helped serve meals and ensure residents had drinks and snacks. While working in the kitchen, I discovered how much I enjoyed spending time with residents and seeing their engagement in activities. This passion led to an opportunity to join the activities team, where I could focus on what I love most - connecting with residents and supporting their well-being.

I take great joy in spending time with residents, hearing their stories, and discovering the activities they enjoy. My goal is to keep our residents active, engaged, and happy, with fun and laughter always at the heart of The Manor Care Home.

Hello, my name is Ramis, and I am one of the Physiotherapists here at The Manor Care Home.

I love supporting our residents through tailored exercises that help them build strength, confidence, and independence. It is incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact this has on their daily lives and overall quality of life.

As a Barchester Operational Trainer, I ensure that staff have the level of skill and knowledge required to competently carry out their role so that all residents receive high-quality care, and that there is a high level of impact on the quality of staff behaviour and knowledge over the long term, leading to a continuous improvement in the quality of care for the residents.

As a Trainer, I actively involve my learners, and my continued focus is to ensure all learning and development activities and inductions are run to a consistently high standard across my 6 homes, alongside meeting external requirements. I have just celebrated my 10th year with Barchester Healthcare, and I love my job.

It’s not just about the teaching but the learning that takes place. All our learners on their first day are taught to identify our Barchester values so that they can incorporate them into everything they do. As a trainer, I strive to meet the needs, abilities and aspirations of my learners. I believe it’s about inspiring learners to help them change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability and take responsibility for their own development.

Bracken and Micky regularly visit the home to spend time with the residents and family. They bring lots of joy and happiness to everyone. They spend their time cussling, walking and playing when they visit the home.
