Hello, my name is Helen, and I am the General Manager here at The Manor. Welcome to our website!
I have vast experience in Home management and I really enjoy managing a luxury home. I feel that it is extremely important to offer a premium service so our residents have a wonderful experience.
Managing a care home is very rewarding and really gives you the opportunity to be part of a big extended family. Quality of care and life enrichment are driving factors in the management and leadership of a home manager. I believe in developing staff and services to support a fulfilling life and career.
I have worked as a nurse for 30 years and have been lucky enough to have worked in Australia. I have emergency care experience and care manager experience from the last 15 years in both Somerset and Hampshire.
I recently relocated from Hampshire. I am a keen gardener, love to travel and spend time with my two daughters.
My passion is ensuring that our residents live their life to the fullest and I look forward to welcoming you to our home to see this first-hand.
I have joined The Manor in 2019 as a Registered Nurse and since then, progressed to the role of Unit Manager. My passion is to care for my residents and to be able to help others in need. Every individual makes my day worthwhile and a smile completes it.
Hello, my name is Sharon and I have worked at The Manor for over 25 years. Needless to say, I love it here! In 2015, I qualified as a Care Practitioner and my new role is challenging as much as it is rewarding. I have always worked in care, beginning on the day of my 18th birthday, and I absolutely love it.

Hi, My name is Anthony and I am the head of maintenance here at The Manor.
I have worked at the Manor for over seven years. I started working in the kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. As a kitchen assistant, I had the opportunity to replenish drinks and snacks and assist in serving meals in communal areas. During this time outside of the kitchen, I enjoyed meeting residents and took pleasure in seeing residents' engagement during activities.
My interest in resident activities was evident and I was given the opportunity to transfer to the Activities team. I love to spend time with the residents. I enjoy hearing their stories and finding out what activities interest them. I aim to keep them as active as possible however my top priority is to instil fun and laughter at the Manor.
Hello, my name is Ramis and I am one of the Physiotherapists here at The Manor Care Home.
I really enjoy supporting the residents through exercises, which enable them to gain strength and confidence. I feel I really contribute towards the resident’s quality of life.
As a Barchester Operational Trainer I ensure that staff have the level of skill and knowledge required to competently carry out their role so that all residents receive high quality care, and that there is a high level of impact on the quality of staff behaviour and knowledge over the long term, leading to a continuous improvement in the quality of care for the residents. As a Trainer I actively involve my learners, and my continued focus is to ensure all learning and development activities, and inductions are run to a consistently high standard across my 6 homes, alongside meeting external requirements. I have just celebrated my 10th year with Barchester Healthcare and I love my job. It’s not just about the teaching but the learning that takes place. All our learners on their first day are taught to identify our Barchester values so that they can incorporate them into everything they do.As a trainer I strive to meet the needs abilities and aspirations of my learners. I believe it’s about inspiring learners to help them change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability and take responsibility for their own development.
Bracken and Micky regularly visit the home to spend time with the residents and family. They bring lots of joy and happiness to everyone. They spend their time cussling, walking and playing when they visit the home.
