I have enjoyed being at Barchester Parley Place Care Home. All the staff are friendly and work to the best standards.
I also enjoyed activities in the home especialy our last trip to the river bank.

Since the passing of my grandmother all the staff at Parley Place Home gone the extra mile to make sure my grandad has been well looked after. The staff really care about every resident here and treat them with dignity and respect.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their dedication
and kindness. My family and I feel very reassured that Grandad is happy and safe here.

A beautiful care home with lovely staff who really care - nothing is too much trouble. The gardens, lounges and other communal areas are 5 star and perfect for residents and visitors to enjoy. The bedrooms are large, light and very comfortable. My Dad enjoys the entertainment, regular activities and
going out for trips in their Mini Bus. Parley Place Care Home is an excellent care home which I would recommend to anyone. The standard of care, patience and understanding is first class and I feel totally satisfied that my Dad is receiving the very best care available.

To leave your home and come into a care home takes a good deal of getting used to but the care and respect of the staff more than make up for that.

Staff and carers are always polite, friendly and meet my needs. Activities are fun and varied. My room is pleasant and comfortable and clean. Parley Place has the feeling of a hotel. Lots of room to move around and the garden is lovely to sit in and walk around.

Beautiful care home. Great home visit pre stay. Lovely staff who appear confident snd helpful. Patient and engaging. Great facilities for residents. Gorgeous garden and garden to sut in.

My husband had a two week Respite care stay and was very happy and well cared for whilst there.
The home is bright, clean and very welcoming. It's feels like a welcome hug when you walk through the doors. All the staff were cheerful and ready to help with any request. He enjoyed the change of scene,
conversation and interaction with new people which gave him a lift on his outlook.
I spoke to him on various occasions on social media and he had so much to relate about his day and the outings he went on. In fact he is saying he will look forward to his next visit when I take a Carers break in September. His room was warm and comfortable with his own facilities and he enjoyed looking out the window at the wildlife, especially the Rooks. I enjoyed a lunch in the dining room the day he went there and spent a few hours with him to get settled in. It didn't take him long to feel at home. Thank you one and all for your care and attention during his stay.

Mum stayed 9 nights at Parley Place so I could have a break.
She gets very anxious due to her dementia,but the team always put her at ease and seem to go the extra mile to make her stay as enjoyable as possible.
I have no hesitation in putting mum in the great care of Parley Place and will be doing
so every 8 weeks or so.
Mum is fully aware that I need to have a break from her as I'm her sole carer and she insisted that she wouldn't want to go anywhere else but Parley Place.
Thanks to all the staff as from the minute I drop her off I can switch off and get some me time.

Mum stayed at Barchester Parley Place Care Home for two weeks respite and I can honestly say that we were all very impressed with everything it has to offer. The design of the home is lovely, the rooms are great, with everything thought about very carefully and all staff were amazing. Mum is 94 with
advanced dementia and has said many times how lovely everyone was to her. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Parley Place.

I was very happy whilst I was there and all the staff were very friendly. I had a very nice room with a big window, en-suite wet shower room, TV and comfortable armchair and footrest. The dining room was spacious with nicely set tables, white tablecloth and good table service. Teas, coffees, cakes,
fruit and biscuits always available for me and my visitors opposite reception overlooking the garden.

A very good experience and I would recommend it to others, the staff were so attentive and the facilities are excellent. I enjoyed meeting the other residents and engaging in the activities. Mum is very happy at Barchester Parley Place Care Home, the level of care, friendly staff and attention to detail are very impressive. From my perspective, I don't need to worry when I am not around - everything is taken care of, the facility is more akin to a five-star hotel and is always a pleasure
to visit. The processes in place are democratic and involve family, residents and staff.

My mother was in Barchester Parley Place Care Home from the 10th until the 24th of January, following a stay in hospital. During her stay, she got back her strength and confidence, thanks to all of the staff there.
She was treated with kindness and compassion.

Barchester Parley Place Care Home is a stimulating home with caring staff who are dedicated to their roles. It has a whole care home approach to staffing, where even staff who are not carers take a keen interest in the residents. There are plenty of daily activities for residents. It is a pleasure to
visit my father as we know he is being well cared for and there is always a friendly welcome. I would highly recommend Parley Place.

Originally from South Africa where I was a nurse for many years, I have been living in Dorset for the past 20 years. Since arriving in the UK I have had the privilege of supporting nursing and residential homes, leading outstanding teams to ensure safe, excellent and person-centred care is delivered to our customers.


My passion and vision for Parley Place is that all who live and work in our home will feel valued, loved and included. That we will build good, strong relationships together ensuring an ethos of trust, openness, honesty and fulfilled lives.

It's a beautiful home and the gardens have so many area's and potential it's a really exciting job. As well as looking after the garden I also run the gardening club for our residents and community every Wednesday afternoon - it's the highlight of my week getting the residents to have a say on what they want to happen as it is there home.
