Hi, my name is Jenna, and I am the General Manager here at Moors Manor Care Home. Welcome to our website!

I have worked in senior healthcare roles, including the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, and have spent the past ten years working in management in a nursing home environment, having experienced domiciliary, acute and nursing care settings. I understand and empathise with the challenges residents and their families are going through when looking for care for themselves or their loved ones. It is my mission to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.

Supporting the families of those in our care is something that I feel very strongly about, and from the time of enquiry, through to moving in and beyond, I aim to be there for the families as much as the residents themselves. Moving into a care home can often be a huge change as their loved one adapts to new surroundings, gets to know all of the teams supporting residents with their needs. I am well aware of how important the reassurance and constant communication is for all involved. This is something that the Moors Manor family are very good at as a whole, and I am so lucky that I get to share all my knowledge and work with such a fantastic team.

My ethos is ensuring that each and every resident lives their lives to the full, celebrating each day in a warm and welcoming environment, with a range of life-enriching activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities, outstanding person-centred care and the most delicious food prepared by our talented chefs at Moors Manor. Being a resident of St. Leonards myself, I have great links with the local community, giving the residents the opportunity to still feel part of our local community.

Hi, my name is Adele, and I am the Deputy Manager here at Moors Manor. I have worked in the care industry for over 10 years, starting as a carer and progressing to a Senior and now to Deputy Manager. I am a very passionate person who loves to make a positive difference. I strive to ensure our residents have a great quality of life and feel at home here at Moors Manor.

There is nothing I enjoy more than hearing residents and staff laughing and enjoying themselves together. My passion is ensuring every resident is treated with dignity and respect and receives excellent person-centred care. I am very proud to be part of the team here at Moors Manor.

Hi, my name is Gemma, and I am the Senior Administration Manager here at Moors Manor. I have worked for Barchester since 2021 and have been in the care industry since 2017.

I have worked in administration, finance and compliance all my career.

The thing I love about working at Moors Manor is arranging events for both our local community and our residents in the home, and hearing the positive feedback.

Hello my name is John and I am the Head Chef here at Moors Manor Care Home. I am a conscientious Hospitality and Catering professional with experience of over 30 years in the industry. A highly motivated and efficient individual, whose thorough and precise approach to projects has yielded excellent results in opening and managing multiple restaurants across London.

During my career I have gained experience in running and developing businesses, contract and finance management, training, and development for chefs. Career highlights include retaining a Michelin Star in Waldo's 28 seated private dining restaurant at Cliveden House, as well as receiving and retaining a Michelin Star, BIB Gourmand at the Rose Street Restaurant in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Driven by my passion I always think of Cooking as my hobby and enjoy passing on my experience to others. I look forward to creating wonderful dishes for our residents to enjoy.

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new homes and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Hi, my name is Dorota and I am the Head of Housekeeping here at Moors Manor.

I joined Barchester in January 2021 after 10 years of working in the hotel industry. I am responsible for maintaining Barchester’s high standards of cleanliness and tidiness. I keep a homely atmosphere at Moors Manor, for all the residents and their relatives.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, sports (both doing and watching!), reading books and watching films.

Hello my name is Claudia and I am Registered General Nurse here at Moors Manor Care Home. I have been a nurse for 11 years and I have worked at Bournemouth Hospital and other Nursing homes in the area. I was always very passionate about becoming a nurse and I love to make a difference in our residents lives. In my spare time I like to travel to various countries, listen to music and enjoy getting stuck into a really good book. I also have a passion for cooking and eating delicious food as well.

Hello my name is Laura and I am a Registered General Nurse here at Moors Manor. I have been a registered general nurse for 15 years. When I first qualified after studying at Southampton University I worked in hospitals for many years to gain more experience. I then worked as a senior nurse in a complex care setting for seven years. After this I then became a district nurse where I gained extensive experience in care nursing.

What I love about my job is being able to deeply connect with residents and their families providing them with comfort, support and ensuring dignified care. I have gained a great passion for palliative care, being able to spend time with the resident and their family.

In my spare time I volunteer at my church to help the elderly people get to hospital appointments. I also love spending time with my family, cooking and hosting dinners for everyone to enjoy.

I love being able to look after people and give them the best quality care I can. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and am I am learning to play the guitar and piano as well.

Hello my name is Jino and I am a Registered General Nurse here at Moors Manor Care Home. I have been a nurse for 11 years and have worked in nursing homes. I really like to be able to bring positive changes into people lives. In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton, chess and watching “How it’s made” videos on YouTube.

Hi my name is Tanya and I am the Home Admin Assistant here at Moors Manor. I am new to the care sector, having previously gained many years’ worth of admin and HR experience within a variety of other sectors.

I am enjoying learning all about the workings of a care home and have chosen a great company to learn from in Barchester! I love the variety and the customer facing aspect of my role, getting to know residents and their families.

Hi, my name is Jenny, and I am the Care Community Lead here at Moors Manor. I have worked in the care industry for over 10 years, specialising in dementia nursing and end-of-life care. I started as a carer at 17 years old, I progressed through roles in my career from senior, to care practitioner to now care community lead. I feel very passionately about my job and like to think I make a difference in people’s lives. My passion is person-centred care and ensuring residents have choice, dignity, privacy and someone they know they can rely on to support them. I have worked in care for the past 5 years in nursing, dementia and residential homes, this has helped me gain clinical skills and knowledge that I find will help me in the future of potentially becoming a nurse. Hi, my name is Rosie and I am a Senior Carer here at Moors Manor. I have been here just over 2 years now and I have been in care for 30 years where I started as an HCA at Royal Bournemouth Hospital then moved on to Dorset Healthcare which then enabled me to do my training in mental health nursing. I then did my diploma in mental health nursing and since then done loads more training including level 3 and 5 in healthcare. I feel very passionate about dignity and I’m very compassionate about respect and person-centred care. Making my lovely residents smile and laugh is the best feeling.

Away from work, I enjoy family time plus camping and getting away. We have a crazy home which we share with 5 cats 2 tortoises and rabbits.

I moved to St. Leonards a year ago with my husband and we enjoy walks in the forest close by. We have a son and daughter who work and live independently and are our pride and joy!
