As a family we can't praise the team at Hundens Park enough, our dad spent the last 6 months here. The care and compassion was amazing. Dad settled instantly in the Darnton suite, and to say its for challenging behaviour we never once saw any issues, we had faith in the level of care for dad. There are always staff around interacting with residents and family. We would like to say massive thank you to everyone there for their support and care.

From the moment my mother arrived at Hundens Park Care Home, she was made to feel so welcome by all the staff. My brother and I also received such a warm welcome, which meant so much during a difficult time. They made what was a very difficult move so much easier.

There were always interesting activities and outings for the residents, and the staff brought kindness, compassion and humour to every day. The palliative care my mother received was excellent and delivered with such dignity and respect.

We are so pleased we chose Hundens Park Care Home-we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to the whole team for everything you did for our mother.

I can't thank ALL the staff at Hundens Park Care home enough.
The genuine care, love & support shown towards Mum from day 1 has been outstanding.
Mum has been a resident for almost a year now & she is so happy, settled & loved.
The incredible love & support extends also to me & Mum's family. In fact, we all feel like family to Hundens and vice versa.
We are so grateful to have struck gold by finding Mum her new home at Hundens...
Ana the manager is just incredible & you know the whole team love & respect her (very rare in this day & age) & Laura the Administrator is just an absolute delight & nothing is too much trouble & the care & compassion shown by all is just so natural & true.
As for the nursing team & Care Assistants, caretakers, chefs, kitchen team, cleaners....absolutely phenomenal.

Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart xxx

I cannot speak highly enough of Hundens Park Care Home in Darlington. From the first visit it was clear this is not just a care home, but a caring community.
The staff are exceptional - compassionate, professional and endlessly patient. There are simply too many wonderful members of staff to name, but every one of them showed genuine kindness and respect.
The end-of-life care they provided for my mum was outstanding. She was treated with dignity and comfort, and I was supported every step of the way during such a difficult time. Their communication was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Hundens Park sets the standard for what a care home should be. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Excellent care home. Mum has now been in hundens park for almost 1 year and I can honestly say it's still as fantastic as the 1st day she came, such a lovely quiet calm environment for the residents to enjoy their rooms watching TV, and chill time. then when singers are in enjoy a sing and a dance. The animals always a hit with residents. Every member of staff helpful and easy to talk to. As a family member visiting I feel completely included in the wonderful life at hundens. If you need a care home come visit see how immaculately clean and welcoming it is. You won't be disappointed. I know how hard it is trying to find the right home and how daunting it can be. Hope my review helps you.

From the first day of attending Barchester Hundens Darlington, I was very satisfied with the security admission procedure. And extremely impressed by the friendly and warm welcome given by all staff. Pleasant, polite and helpful attitude. Their upfilling and cheery disposition was excellent and valued by our family on the difficult situation we found ourselves in. We were allowed tea and coffee as required during visits. Attention to the patient was available straight away if needed. I highly recommend this care home.

My father has over the last 12 months has been hospitalised on a number of occassions and has been housed in various locations in the area. However was re housed by social services at Hundens Park. What a difference. The other locations are not a patch on Hundens Park. The staff at both were excellent, as is Hundens Parks, but the facilities and the access to management and nurses are far better. My father seems much more settled and happy. Many thanks!

My husband has recently become a resident of Hundens Park, he was very upset having to go into a care home, however, the staff have been amazing. He's had previous issues with a bed sore thats gone on for 2 years & with the excellent care he's receiving its improved & is almost better within a few months of being here. He likes to smoke & the carers always make time to take him out daily. He's put on weight & looks really well. Staff & management have been extremely supportive to all our family too. Highly recommended.

Thank you to you all, not just for the care given to mum, but for the support I received.

My dad came to the care home from hospital. It was a shame that by the time he was discharged he could not get out of bed and enjoy the care home. I found the staff friendly and welcoming from the first visit to when my dad sadly passed. The staff could not do enough to make us welcome and my dad feel at home. The home itself was beautiful and had a homely feel to it, along with being very clean and smelling nice. I was glad my dad got to spend his last days here + felt happy we was being well looked after.

After seeing Hundens Park I was impressed by how clean, up-to-date and welcoming all of the rooms were. The personalisation of the bedrooms made them feel so homely.
