Barchester Chalfont Care Home is on the edge of Gerrards Cross Golf Course, just minutes from the pretty villages of Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Denham.

It sits in magnificent grounds with marvellous views across a picturesque lake and the fine fairways of the golf course; yet close to the M25, M40/A40.

The emphasis is on outstanding care, dignity and choice and how residents live their life.

There is an extensive activities programme, as well as their own music therapist, on-site physiotherapist, hairdresser manicurist and aromatherapist. They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in the memory lane community.

The whole family were pleased that my wife was admitted to Chalfont Lodge for the main reason - we live in Chalfont St Peter and were able to visit daily.
The care, thoughtfulness from all the staff was outstanding: carers; nursing; kitchen, cleaning and admin staff and support staff all were first
class.
The reception we recieved was second to none.

I think Chalfont Lodge offered a 5* service for our mum.
The staff here looked after mum with great dignity.
From beginning to end everything was looked after, from food to activities everything was perfect.
It really is a very caring and well organised care home.

I am very impressed with the high level of care for my elderly aunt - it has provided a very safe and comfortable environment for the last two years of her life.
They have maintained the staffing levels to provide this: the care team themselves are all very professional and kind, but there is also
the entertainments team who organise daily activities & events, the catering team serving wonderful food, the nursing team and the management team. An excellent care home

My mother has been here since March 2023, my father was a resident 2013-2016. Good number of same staff during this time which reflects a happy + motivated team. I have total confidence in managements + staffing which gives me peace of mind. Regular contact with staff + observations show them to be
committed + well trained. The manager has an open door policy + always approachable + visable; empathetic in dealing with occasional issues.

Chalfont Lodge looked after our father for the last 8 months of his life after a catastrophic fall. They took on his very specific medical needs with skill and professionalism. There was a consistent set of staff throughout his stay that were so kind and responsive that it felt like a second family
for him. They noticed and responded to little things about his likes and dislikes that helped make his life much more comfortable. All our administrative and medical queries were responded to promptly, enabling us to feel confident that every aspect of Dad's care attended to. We couldn't have asked for a more dedicated, professional and compassionate team to look after our Dad.

My very intelligent son came to Chalfont Lodge aged 41 following a blood clot on the brain. Fed with a peg, told he would never walk again, and little mental capacity. Everyone helpful and friendly and the home felt like a home. He is contented and has improved physically and mentally in the 15 years
he's been there. My husband and I have always been supported and welcomed by the staff and know my son is well cared for. Only down side, nicer to have a shower in room instead of usual bath, and lots of outside space could do with extra grounsmen or be sold (just a small overgrown bit)

My friend has been in Chalfont Lodge for over a year now and I am still impressed by the care and respect received by the residents. On entering there is always a warm reception. The residents and visitors can always feel the staff are approachable. They have spacious rooms if they want their privacy
and there are also spacious lounges. They have wide variety of social activities to suit everyone. Chalfont Lodge is in a lovely location and my friend tells us often how happy she is.

This was the first time I was able to visit my brother in his new home, as we live very distant.


We visited last Friday, after a long journey & what a pleasure it was to be greeted by the charming Receptionist ,who knew exactly who he was & took us to the Memory Lane unit. Smiling faces from all

the Staff ,everyone helpful in directing us to my brother's room. He looked very well cared for & comfortable & we were delighted to meet his lovely personal Carer, who was very informative about his ongoing needs & care.


It is sad, of course, that my brother probably doesn't recognise me now, but a huge comfort for me & the rest of the family to know he is being so well cared for in a happy atmosphere with good facilities.


I was a nurse for nearly 40 years & am well aware of the difficulties in maintaining good standards in a Nursing Home. Keep up the great work.

From the moment we arrived we were given such a lovely friendly welcome, and lots of smiles. We were very impressed with the bedrooms and the whole of the 'Home' was immaculate. The staff have been so kind and helpful always on hand a the touch of a button. The dining room, staff on hand to help and
the food very varied and of a high standard. There is a Doctor on duty and problems are dealt with. The nurses are wonderful and kind.

I was over the moon when I my ex husband was to move into Chalfont lodge last year, My daughters worked so hard to secure a place for him in this delightful care home. Although I have been his ex for more than 20 years I continue to care about him and his well-being and I have seen 100% improvement
in his physical and mental health since he has lived in Chalfont lodge. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the place is kept spotlessly clean and accessible. The activities are great and I'm also told that the cuisine is also. So a big well done!

Care after a hip replacement operation. Excellent care day and night. Physio essential to my recovery and was given timely effectively each weekday. When physio delayed management responded quickly. When I commented my room was noisy, management moved me right away. Good home good staff, good management.
Great benefit from my stay for my recovery.

Hi, I am Zibi and I have been working at Chalfont Lodge since 2014 when I joined as the 2nd chef, during the last 7 years I have got to know our residents well, all the special meals they enjoy and helped to celebrate their special occasions like birthdays and special family days.


I have worked in a variety of places, hotels locally and in VIP private hospitality with the well known chef Michel Roux 


I'm very proud to have been promoted Head Chef here at Chalfont Lodge and look forward to delivering even more fantastic food with my team for the people living and visiting the home.

Hello, I am Mansukh a professionally qualified and specialised physiotherapist with a master’s degree in neurological conditions.


I provide evidence-based rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment to orthopaedic conditions together with multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and post-operative care.


I also support other healthcare professionals for Botox administration, wheelchair assessments and orthotics.


I work closely with my clients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals to provide holistic treatment in order to achieve the maximum functional results and help clients to achieve their goals.

Hi, my name is Isabel but go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked for some years in Cambridge. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester I run community choirs and teach the piano locally and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.
