Barchester Chalfont Care Home is on the edge of Gerrards Cross Golf Course, just minutes from the pretty villages of Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Denham.

It sits in magnificent grounds with marvellous views across a picturesque lake and the fine fairways of the golf course; yet close to the M25, M40/A40.

The emphasis is on outstanding care, dignity and choice and how residents live their life.

There is an extensive activities programme, as well as their own music therapist, on-site physiotherapist, hairdresser manicurist and aromatherapist. They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in the memory lane community.

Care after a hip replacement operation. Excellent care day and night. Physio essential to my recovery and was given timely effectively each weekday. When physio delayed management responded quickly. When I commented my room was noisy, management moved me right away. Good home good staff, good management.
Great benefit from my stay for my recovery.

My father-in-law has received excellent, considerate care from a team of people that value human dignity and aim to provide the highest level of treatment to their residents. I was impressed with the care team after meeting them just once. Both myself and wife realised that my father-in-law was finally

My mum has been on Memory Lane for a few months now and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received there. The staff are all wonderful: patient, kind, professional. It is possible to build up a good relationship with the staff as I see familiar faces every time I visit. This is truly person-centred
care.
In particular, I feel Chalfont Lodge to be warm and welcoming. I can drop in at any time and I am always made to feel welcome.
The home itself is spotlessly clean. The residents are well cared for and stimulated. My mother, in particular, enjoys the dancing and singing! Recently, there has been a mini Olympics, summer BBQ on the terrace and fabulous Diwali celebrations where some staff and residents wore traditional Indian clothes followed by a dance show and delicious Indian food.

My mother stayed until her passing yesterday. She was looked after with amazing care and genuine love from the staff. Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home has always been a lovely place to visit with wonderful refreshments and the beautiful lake and view and patio. My father was also cared for brilliantly
when he came for a shorter stay. Mum also came to love all the activities on offer.

My mother has been at Chalfont Lodge Care Home for 18 months and she is immensely happy here. The staff are very warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very well cared for and her day is filled with stimulating activities and social opportunities. I can highly recommend the home. It

Hi, my name is Isabel but go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked for some years in Cambridge. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester I run community choirs and teach the piano locally and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.
