Barchester Chalfont Care Home is on the edge of Gerrards Cross Golf Course, just minutes from the pretty villages of Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Denham.

It sits in magnificent grounds with marvellous views across a picturesque lake and the fine fairways of the golf course; yet close to the M25, M40/A40.

The emphasis is on outstanding care, dignity and choice and how residents live their life.

There is an extensive activities programme, as well as their own music therapist, on-site physiotherapist, hairdresser manicurist and aromatherapist. They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in the memory lane community.

Top-class nursing home. Hands-on care from management, admin and all staff. Very approachable in all situations. Chefs take note of family suggestions and preparing individual meals if required.
Excellent nursing care. Care team considers each patient's needs.
Very clean and beautifully maintained,
comfortable rooms with views. I give five stars to all concerned.
Great, warm welcome at reception daily. They know each resident and their families by name.

The staff here are excellent, they are so very caring and thoughtful. Nothing is too much trouble and they know my friend's needs perfectly. They are very encouraging and the whole ambience here is a happy and caring one. A lovely place to spend time in.

Whilst Dad was only at Barchester Chalfont Lodge a brief time, I cannot fault the team at Chalfont Lodge. Everyone was compassionate, caring, professional and just lovely. All the team took the time to not only get to learn about and interact with Dad but they were looking after us at this difficult
time. Could not wish for a better place for Dad to have been.

The home itself is beautifully appointed, in lovely countryside. It felt like my partner's own home. My partner was so well looked after, with loving kindness. They were absolutely wonderful and all the staff so kind and caring. I cannot recommend this home too highly.

A certain member of staff (as with all staff members) at Chalfont Lodge Care Home is beyond exemplary, as they genuinely care and this is evident from the personal attention to my mother and to ourselves. We are all known by our first names but treated professionally and with respect. I have no hesitation
in highly recommending this individual in particular.

My father was admitted to Chalfont from hospital in October 2022. I was always very happy with the way my father was treated and cared for. He had dementia and Alzheimer's, but this did not diminish the care and respect he was given by the Manager, Administrator, Head Of Turnberry and all the team.
He was so kindly managed through his final three weeks of life and died comfortably and peacefully. The staff have all been very kind and caring, a lovely home and experience.

Everything, starting with viewing the care home, to transferring Mum from the hospital, and all the care she received in the home was perfect. Mum was always shown great kindness and treated with respect by everyone at Chalfont Lodge. Dad was also made to feel welcome during his long visits both day
and night.
It was a joy to visit each day, and whilst leaving her was difficult, we felt we knew she was being well cared-for all the time that we were not there.

This nursing home has my total approval and thanks for the manner and style of the care afforded to my wife.
All the staff displayed great care and consideration at all times and under some difficult conditions.

The whole staff are exceptional, not only in terms of care, professionalism, attitude and willingness to help. From the moment anyone walked through the front door, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere throughout the home was very positive and welcoming.
My mother-in-law was extremely well
cared for and as comfortable as possible, making her last few weeks as nice as could be in the circumstances.
If Barchester have an awards/recognition scheme, then I would happily recommend the home and its staff for an award.

The registered nurse welcomed me in this place with a smile and I love my room. The girls are loving and I feel comfortable here. I want to live here forever. My friends who come to visit here and children are happy I am living here.

I came to Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home to recuperate and have daily physiotherapy after a knee replacement. I was extremely impressed with my room on the ground floor with a wet room en suite. The dining room was pretty and inviting with proper linen tablecloths and napkins and the food was varied
and beautifully cooked - the only thing to mention is that it was sometimes lukewarm but a minor criticism overall. My ultimate praises go to the staff - carers, nurses, physiotherapists, cleaners and admin. who could not have been kinder or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always cheerful and smiling. I was only at the Lodge for two weeks but it made an enormous difference to how I was able to cope on returning home. Thanks to everyone who helped my recovery.

Everyone, from the receptionist to the management, is absolutely helpful and so very polite. The rooms and facilities are immaculate. The general atmosphere is friendly and calm, a place I would always recommend.

All staff have been very caring and helpful. My husband needs 24-hour care and has very little understanding but has settled well and is comfortable with all the staff. Sadly my mother had to go into a care home and we had to very quickly find a suitable place.
This home stood out compared to others that we visited.
It was a very difficult time but the care and genuine love felt by the staff was amazing. They are professional and nothing was too much trouble. They
responded to any feedback and helped us to feel relieved at leaving our mother. unfortunately, she passed away in the home which they managed with extreme care and we were able to be with her in her final hour. They were genuinely upset and shared our sorrow.
Everyone is approachable has compassion the standards are high. When you are dealing with one of the most difficult times of your life you need to feel confident that you have given your loved one everything that they have deserved.

We have found the staff to be absolutely fantastic. Everybody is friendly, compassionate and genuinely invested in the welfare of my father. He has received excellent care from the day that he arrived at Barchester. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers.

I am always impressed by the friendly staff who seem happy to help with anything that is possible. Always made to feel welcome, offered a cup of tea and homemade biscuits. It is a joy to visit. I have not personally experienced the food but the menu looks good. Neither have I taken part in the activities
but there are many, sometimes every day.

Hi, I am Zibi and I have been working at Chalfont Lodge since 2014 when I joined as the 2nd chef, during the last 7 years I have got to know our residents well, all the special meals they enjoy and helped to celebrate their special occasions like birthdays and special family days.


I have worked in a variety of places, hotels locally and in VIP private hospitality with the well known chef Michel Roux 


I'm very proud to have been promoted Head Chef here at Chalfont Lodge and look forward to delivering even more fantastic food with my team for the people living and visiting the home.

Hello, I am Mansukh a professionally qualified and specialised physiotherapist with a master’s degree in neurological conditions.


I provide evidence-based rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment to orthopaedic conditions together with multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and post-operative care.


I also support other healthcare professionals for Botox administration, wheelchair assessments and orthotics.


I work closely with my clients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals to provide holistic treatment in order to achieve the maximum functional results and help clients to achieve their goals.

Hi, my name is Isabel but go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked for some years in Cambridge. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester I run community choirs and teach the piano locally and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.
