Ashby House is a purpose-built, single-storey building on attractive gardens. They're located in a quiet area of Milton Keynes, yet close to the city centre.

The home provides first-class 24-hour nursing care and residential care, alongside expert care for people with dementia and younger onset dementia in a Memory Lane Community. A team of highly-qualified and attentive staff really focuses on the individual needs of residents with a tailored care plan for each person.

Activities Co-ordinators are working with Help the Aged to plan fun and interesting activities for residents with a range of equipment.

My mother has been a resident since July 25. Unfortunately she requires mental and physical help due to her complex needs. I was anxious about the move. It is quite daunting for an 89 yr old to try & settle in to a new environment, new people and surroundings, especially with dementia.
Ashby house
have made the process as smooth as possible. My mum seems very happy, always smiling. Everyone is so kind. The care is of a high standard as is the food. Dabulous entertainment & activities

My husband has been a resident for almost five years.
His care has always been exemplary.
Various staff changes/absences recently have not changed the day by day care.
Have always found all staff very welcoming - always able to listen and offer advice & comfort to me when I have needed such support.

Very welcoming and clean. The staff really take care of the residents. I have seen a massive improvement in my grandads mental and physical health. Everyone is very friendly and the homemade cakes are a lovely touch.

Just before Christmas my husband was discharged from hospital but, due to his needs, wasn't able to come home. A friend recommended Barchester Ashby House Care Home. I am just so glad that she did.
From the moment I was shown around by one staff member in particular, through interview with the manager,
and my various dealings with other staff, I was impressed by an atmosphere of warmth, friendliness, kindness and helpfulness. To have to find respite care just before Christmas is not easy but Ashby House stepped up to the mark making a difficult job run smoothly.
My husband has been cared for wonderfully well over the past weeks, is happily settled and is full of praise for the kindness and respect shown to him by all the staff. Unfortunately, he will not be able to return home as hoped but I feel happy leaving him there knowing how he and I are treated.
Getting to know staff better is a great experience, as is meeting other residents and their families - everyone is friendly and nice. I would highly recommend Ashby House.

The manager visited me in the hospital after showing my partner around Ashby House Care Home. She gave me lots of helpful information and agreed that I could go there the following day. On arrival, I was very warmly welcomed by the manager and various members of staff. I had a cup of tea and a biscuit
in my room and was then given a tour of the corridors and day spaces in a wheelchair. It was then lunchtime and I had an enjoyable lunch with other residents.
Throughout my week's stay, I was very well looked after. All staff were very friendly and helpful during the day and overnight.
I would recommend Ashby House Care Home.

Barchester Ashby House Care Home has looked after my mum for over three years now, they are absolutely wonderful, everyone is caring, compassionate and friendly, I am so pleased my mum is in Ashby House.
Mum, sadly, is now in respite care and the team has been marvellous at moving her to be near the

My mum had to be moved to a home in July and finding the right one was a stressful time. The team at Barchester Ashby House Care Home were amazing and from the first phone call with the administrator through to getting Mum settled was a great experience. The team really cares and have gone the extra
mile to make sure that Mum was settled. The room is lovely and the facilities are well-kept and the open spaces are welcoming. Only small glitch is that the wi-fi in some rooms is not as strong and maintaining contact is not always possible. That aside, it is a great place and we are very happy Mum has a new home. I can fully recommend Ashby House.

My husband has been staying at Barchester Ashby House Care Home since early January. I find that he is getting good care from the staff. He is being kept safe which is important to me.
I am happy with the standard of care and the carers are well-trained and capable.
My only concern is that there seems
to be a shortage of staff, resulting in residents having to wait quite a long time to be attended to, especially in the morning.

My wife was agitated and distressed prior to admission and the staff turned that around incredibly quickly. By the time of my first visit, she was calmer than she had been in months, content and actually eating again. I have nothing but praise for the staff, they are patient and kind and seem very fond
of my wife. She feels safe and mostly calm again. My only criticism so far is that recently when I picked her up to take her for a hospital appointment she didn't have the right incontinence pads on so an accident in the car proved to be very messy.

I joined Barchester in 2024 bringing over 40 years’ experience within health and social care. I have undertaken multiple roles throughout my career, working with local authorities, large corporate organisations and small private care providers – but one thing remains, my passion to lead teams to deliver the highest quality of care.


To achieve outstanding care starts with outstanding people, I believe in my team and support them with enhancing their skills and abilities through training and development. I strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment where Residents and staff can flourish together in an inclusive and caring community.


Outside of work I keep busy spending time with my children and five grandchildren. I enjoy playing and watching tennis and getting out in the fresh air walking my two dogs.

Hello, my name is Carole, and I am the Administration Assistant here at Ashby House.


I joined the team in 2022, and I am the first person you will see when you walk into the home – you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome!


I support the front of house team in everyday admin tasks, reception duties, meeting and greeting family members, visitors, and professionals as they enter the building.


Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with my Husband, family and friends, dog walking, I am a keen gardener, and when time allows, I enjoy hopping on my bike, having previously completed a Coast to Coast charity bike ride.


I enjoy being part of the wonderful staff team at Ashby House and look forward to meeting you all when you visit.

Diana Ivanov

Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

Hello, I'm Diana, and I am a Senior Registered Nurse at Ashby House. I am responsible for the Day Care Team on my nursing unit.


I graduated from my nursing career in 1998 in Romania as a General Nurse, then moved to the UK in 2003 and have worked in care homes since then.


In 2011, I graduated with NVQ Level 4 in Leadership & Management and further developed my skills in 2013 when I received certification for End-of-Life Care.


I started working as a Senior Registered Nurse at Ashby House Care Home in 2017. I am very passionate about my work and love to look after the residents and relatives that come to our home, and I like to be supportive of all my work colleagues.


When I am away from work, I love to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Hello, my name is Victory, I am a qualified nurse, and I am passionate about providing quality care at excellent standards for residents. I have been working for Barchester Healthcare since June 2022.


The team at Ashby is one of the best I have worked with, and I am grateful for the love and support I receive from the management and colleagues in my job role.


Before June 2022, I worked as a nurse in my home country for some years, serving as a registered nurse, registered midwife, and West African licensed public health nurse. I hold a bachelor's degree in nursing, and my passion for learning drives me to continually update my knowledge and research.


I have a passion and a call to care for the elderly, and I feel fulfilled doing my job. I am committed to delivering person-centred care for each resident and reassuring their relatives. It is also a pleasure supporting my colleagues and using my strengths to enhance the lives of all we care for.

The main part of my job is leading on the clinical aspects of Residents care, ensuring records are kept up to date, medication management and working closely with Management and the local health care professionals to ensure continuity of care.


I love my work as a Nurse at Ashby House. I enjoy speaking with residents and helping them to feel as well as they can. I feel proud to be part of this team where everyone plays their part in making everyday life enjoyable for residents.

Hello, I'm Carol and I joined the Ashby House team in 2004 as a Housekeeping Assistant.


It is really important that I keep the home clean to keep it looking nice and minimise infection risks. It is also important that Ashby House is tidy, attractive and well organised so residents feel comfortable and relaxed.


I get to know every resident, to understand how they like their room, their clothes and their personal belongings to be arranged. I enjoy my morning chats, getting to know residents as I clean their rooms.
