Our relative has been a full time resident at Prestbury Beaumont since February. Since moving in, she has improved hugely, both physically and mentally. All the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble either for mum or for us as relatives. The care and attention given is second to none. The
facilities, food and grounds are more like a hotel. Great thought is given to daily entertainment and life enrichment, she is never bored. All the care staff, nursing staff, management, in house chef and Chris the gardener genuinely seem to have the residents best interests at heart. We are always kept informed of mum's wellbeing and all our queries enswered honestly. When she moved in we were told that this is her house now and what she needs she will always get and that is exactly what we have found. If it could be summed up in a few words it would be "this is a kind, safe place"
Reply from Sophie Kay, General Manager at Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care CommunityThank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Sophie and the team were hugely supportive at a difficult time when my Mum needed an urgent operation. Mum is my Dads main carer so Dad had a week being looked after at Prestbury Beaumont in a beautiful room which had been tailored to his needs. Nothing was too much for the team to help us with, whether
it was changing dates last minute due to the operation being moved or providing home comforts for Dad, like a CD player in his room.
Dad enjoyed all the food & again attention to detail here was perfect- adapting the food to Dads needs.
The team encouraged Dad out for an assisted daily walk to keep him mobile & our family could concentrate on my Mums care knowing Dad was in safe hands.
Communication was amazing too, e mails answered even late at night or weekends when I wasn't expecting replies.
All the team I met were kind & attentive.
Reply from Sophie Kay, General Manager at Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care CommunityThank you so much for your positive feedback and wonderful comments about out home.
The team collectively understood how important it was to ensure that dad's needs were catered too, as this ensured that mum could relax knowing that he was safe , well fed and happy. The team loved having dad with us, I think he enjoyed the fuss we made of him!
We pride ourselves on communication; at the times you need us the most, day or night: that is what we are here for.
I will pass on your lovely feedback to the team. You know where we are if you ever need us in the future.

Prestbury Beaumont is a beautiful place, set in the most wonderful surroundings. On approach the place looks like a hotel! As you step in - it is lovely and warm and the staff sometimes hard to find are super friendly! Mum was shown warmth, dignity, and a great level of care. The only issue we had was
bed only changed once in 17 days and the bathroom had a horrible smell! Mum made some friends and the activities on offer she thoroughly enjoyed. All the food was delicious too. Most importantly they got her to hospital when needed too! Thank-you.
Reply from Sophie Kay, General Manager at Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care CommunityThank you for your review of our home and your positive feedback about the dignity and care provided to your mum, we know that she thoroughly enjoyed her stay with us.
I am sorry that there has been an issue with the bedding and en suite. Our management team pride themselves on having an open door policy, and I'm sorry that you didn't raise this with us at the time to rectify any issues for you. Our systems, processes and documentation of bedding changes has been improved since this feedback to ensure that assurances can always be provided. We appreciate all feedback provided. Thank you again.

My mother stayed for one week in Feb '26 for respite care whilst her immediate family were away from home.
From the initial meeting (prior to the beginning of care), then throughout her stay, to leaving - my mother received the most excellent care & attention - offered within extraordinary environment
and ammenity.
I would recommend this establishment and all the staff unreservedly.

Dad received a home visit from care manager. She responded to his anxiety and concerns with kindness and good humour gaining his trust and confidence. An emergency bed was found for which we were extremely grateful as we were in complete care crisis. He was greeted with warmness. The first room was
a little small but very soon Dad entered 'end of life' care and was moved to a beautiful room. Adaptions were made to personalise the room for him and his family. The staff were wonderful, all treating him with utmost care and compassion. We felt he was loved and our needs were respected too. Dad died in the best possible circumstances - a huge comfort to us.

My mum has been a resident at Prestbury Beaumont for the past three years, and the care and compassion she has received have been exceptional. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, safe, and valued. The team are not only highly skilled but also incredibly kind and attentive,
always going the extra mile to ensure she is comfortable and happy.
The home itself is beautiful-set in peaceful woodland surroundings, with lovely gardens that offer a tranquil space for residents to relax. The facilities are excellent, and the meals are both delicious and thoughtfully prepared, catering to individual preferences and dietary needs.
What truly sets Prestbury Beaumont apart is the sense of community and warmth. The activities programme is varied and engaging, helping residents stay active and connected. I've seen my mum thrive here, forming friendships and enjoying a quality of life that brings us great peace of mind.

My lovely mum was a resident at Prestbury Beaumont before she sadly passed away on 6th August.
Mum was very happy in the home. She loved the staff and they equally loved her.
The food was fabulous, the environment was homely and appealing. The atmosphere was always calm no matter how busy the staff
were. They always had time for mum and we often found staff members sitting with mum and chatting.
Towards the end they cared for mum with such kindness and dignity and when she passed they went over and above to make her look beautiful and peaceful. They made sure her room was perfect and also mum herself. We will be forever grateful for this. It made such an awful time more bearable.
The staff had become friends and we will miss them dearly but will be forever in their debt for making mums final days as special as they could be.
There are no words adequate enough to express our thanks, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I have no complaints of this fabulous home! From the moment my mum arrived I felt confident that she was going to be looked after in a way that she would want to be.
The initial visit in hospital to see my mum carried out by one of the members of staff to help make the transition to the home go as
smoothly as possible was perfect.
my sister and I were shown every detail of the home before mum arrived and that helped us to feel comfortable that mum was going to be looked after in a way that we wanted her to be looked after.
The manager has made sure that the home feels like home from home and that is to be commended along with her wonderful staff who are all lovely and considerate at all times to my mum and the family when we visit.
Her room is always kept nice, and the food is amazing a choice from the menu at every meal time which makes you feel as if you are in a posh hotel! Thank you to everyone for everything you do xx

My father came into this home only 2 weeks ago, this inital transition from being independent in his home has been made so easy by all the staff at The Prestbury Beaumont, each and everyone of them have been so kind and considerate.
The facilities, grounds, communal areas are presented to a high standard,
Daily activities are well thought out and they have regular outings to garden and shopping centres which Dad has participated in.
I feel happy that he is now settled in such a lovely place.

My mother was at the Beaumont for 9 years. She spent 7 of those years in an assisted living apartment and the remainder of the time in the nursing section of the care home.

The care she received was wonderful throughout. When she passed away peacefully in January of this year at the age of 97,

her long life was testament to the meticulous care she received from all the management and staff at the Beaumont - from the kitchen staff, housekeepers, carers, and nurses to the gardener and handyman. I cannot compliment them enough on the kindness and compassion they showed my mother. The management and staff have become friends and I shall miss having regular contact with them.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.870 for Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care Community is calculated as follows: ( (257 Excellents x 5) + (32 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 292 Ratings = 4.87
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care Community is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 28 registered maximum number of service users is 5.6, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews.
