My husband has been treated with kindness & compassion. The standard of care is excellent & nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The home is spotless & his room is spacious & well equipped. Everything about the home is above our expectations of a nursing home - it is more like a four star hotel!

Beaufort Grange is a lovely care home but there are a few things that could be improved. It is always understaffed. Sometimes only one carer for many residents e.g nine plus, which isn't fair on the residents or the carers. This is my main worry. Please could there be more staff on each floor. My mum
doesn't eat a lot but when she does she says the food isn't good. I did speak to the chef and he said he would get some rice pudding for mum bit this never happened which is disappointing as that's one thing I know mum will eat. The staff are amazing though.
Reply from Feedback Team, The Feedback Team at Barchester Beaufort GrangeThanks for taking the time to leave your review, and for your kind words relating to the home and staff at Beaufort Grange. We'd like to reassure you our staffing levels are aligned with residents needs and this is kept under continuous review. We're really sorry your mum has been disappointed with the food at times, we've shared your feedback with the home and catering team who have assured that rice pudding will be made available throughout the week should your mum like some. If you have any concerns you would like to raise, please reach out to the General Manager who will be happy to help. Kind regards, Barchester's Customer Feedback Team.

I can confidently say any ideas that I had of a carehome being sad and dreary have been replaced with this vision of caring, diverse and inclusive community atmosphere that provides quality care to residents. All staff are kind and respectful whilst the residents are in good hands. Clean and smell nice

Beaufort Grange is a loving and caring home. You feel the friendliness as soon as you enter. Staff are respectful and go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. Nothing is too much trouble. Any information regarding facilities e.g hairdresser. Also pictures of staff who now have awards
for carer of the month are found within entrance. Weekly pets are also here also activity sheets for residents and dates of outings, finally after seeing several other homes in the area would not want to live anywhere else.
Reply from Anna Przybylska, Customer Relationship Manager at Barchester Beaufort GrangeDear Sylvia, thank you so much for your kind review. We are truly grateful you took time to share your experience, and we are proud to provide a warm, caring environment for our residents. Your support means a lot! I spent 3 weeks at Beaufort Grange following major surgery on my ankle.
I was impressed with the level of welcome from the first time I met some of the staff on a visit earlier in the year.
I was so well looked after by every member of staff. The rooms are attractive and the whole building has more
of the quality of a hotel rather than a hospital as well. Having said that it has a homely feel to it.
I am very grateful to everyone for caring for me so well and giving me the confidence to get back on my feet.
I shall recommend you to all my friends.
Thank you

My Dad has been with Beaufort since Nov 2023 and like all relatives you feel apprehension, anxiety, sadness and all kinds of emotions when making the decision to go this route. Beaufort from the moment those sliding doors opened Dad was treated like a long lost friend. The home seems more like a hotel
with a small little bistro inside, coffee, tea chocolate on tap and freshly baked cakes for you to help yourself. The staff are all happy, smiles and good mornings the norm. My Dad has entrenched himself in, is really content, the meds having been completely sorted now he's under their GP and they really care and understand about dementia. There is a particular lady on my Dads floor who is absolutely wonderful, helpful, caring and she always seems to be there (don't know when she sleeps!), my Dad gives her winks and knows she's good and not a threat (dementia trait) what she and all the others do is hard work, stuff a lot of us would not do. Thank you Brilliant Beaufort.

I cannot imagine another nursing home coming, even close to what Barchester Beaufort Grange offers. As a retired nurse, I am very particular in the standards I expect in the care of my husband with my husband with dementia and Parkinson's. It's like being on a cruise ship with amazing food and daily
entertainment with the highest standards of nursing care, compassion, kindness, dignity for my husband. He is so well cared for with very high needs and is thriving. I cannot thank the staff enough!

Mum joined Barchester Beaufort Grange in June 2024 and although she was only there a couple of months, she never needed for anything. The staff, support staff, carers, nurses and management were friendly and always went the extra mile to ensure Mum and our family were looked after. Mum, during her stay,
was encouraged to take part in activities and joined a lovely friend network. Beaufort Grange was fantastic in her last week of life. Thank you for all your support Beaufort Grange.

My father-in-law needed to go into a care home that also catered for dementia. We looked at a couple and from the first moment stepping into Barchester Beaufort Grange, we were welcoming, we were shown around and nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I had decided on the journey back home that
this was the right care home for my father-in-law. My father-in-law is still settling in but he seems happy. We loved the fact that he is on level 1 memory lane which is so much better than dementia level. All the staff are friendly, they also pop their heads in to speak. We get phone calls on any care that is happening or changing. It's bright and clean always. Highly recommend and we are making friends along the way.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.806)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.806) out of 10 for Barchester Beaufort Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.806 for Barchester Beaufort Grange is calculated as follows: ( (382 Excellents x 5) + (67 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 459 Ratings = 4.806
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barchester Beaufort Grange is based on 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 registered maximum number of service users is 14.8, which has been reached with 39 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
