My husband who has Alzheimer's went into Boroughbridge Manor firstly for respite care but is now a permanent resident. He has settled well & although he doesn't say a great deal he seems happy & content. The staff are all caring and approachable, special mention and thanks must go to Alex & Adi. I feel confident that my husband is getting the care he needs. They have a varied programme of activities including trips out for those wishing to join in. The open visiting regime of the home is also good.

I visited several care homes looking for a short respite stay for my 98 year old mum. Boroughbridge Manor stood out with it's warm and kind atmosphere, friendly staff and creative decorations that were fun and interesting. Mum has returned a few times for respite care and I'm always impressed by the genuine warm welcome we receive, the staff all knowing her name and chatting to her. I feel she is very well looked after, the room is bright and fresh and her comment on leaving is usually "it was all very good". My husband and I moved here recently from a care home in Wetherby. This is more pleasantly situated with a lovely garden. Generally, I feel the home is understaffed but we are treated with care and dignity. The food is varied and addequate but would be improved by the addition of well cooked fresh vegetables. My Father moved from Scotland 6 months ago after not coping well on his own, he had already had a short term stay at Boroughbridge Manor so he knew where he was going.
