Boroughbridge Manor Care Home is located in the North Yorkshire countryside and is ideally situated for access to the A1 and local amenities.

The home offers residential, dementia, respite and palliative care. Bedrooms at the home are based across three floors and each floor has its own living rooms and dining room allowing residents to socialise and relax.

Residents at the home can enjoy landscaped gardens, a conservatory, sensory garden and a large patio area for socialising.

The home has en-suite rooms with flat screen TVs and can provide specialist dementia care to those who need it. Residents can be provided with person-centred care and have access to Wi-Fi throughout the home.

A team of trained chefs prepares meals on-site, allowing residents to choose from a varied daily menu, while special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Activities co-ordinators at the home provide residents with a range of tailored and engaging events and excursions.

A safe environment. My sister's physical health appears better than it has been for over 10 years. Her condition is such that she has been difficult to interact with but the pragmatic management of her care minimises the impact of her mood swings whilst supporting her needs.
We are reassured every
time we visit as to the residence, care package and especially staff group was the right choice for my sister.

In the time Mum was resident at Boroughbridge Manor Care Home her care was exemplary. All staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble and any niggles were dealt with quickly and professionally. The management team went out of their way to facilitate exceptional care for Mum, especially after
a stormy time of admissions to the hospital. Sadly, Mum passed away very recently but she/we wanted her to stay at the home, and the care the team gave to her and us as a family was loving and supportive, we cannot thank them enough for their kindness at this very difficult time.

This is my first experience of having a loved one in care. I have been astounded at the level of comfort and care that my aunt is receiving. Most of all, I am impressed with the daily activities which take place. I do not need to worry about my aunt's care; it is second to none. I have spoken with friends
who have relatives in care homes, but they are not as impressed as I am with Boroughbridge Manor.

After a rapid decline in health and a very traumatic period of time living at home, my mum moved into Boroughbridge Manor care home late last year, from the first day of contact with the wonderful team at the care home I felt so reassured the care and support mum needed would be delivered, and every
interaction since has 100% endorsed that early opinion, the wonderful care shown by every member of the team from support staff to nurses to the office team and the manager, the communication in particular on the social media group is great and shows the care and support, the fun and stimulation through activity and interaction is making such a difference to the quality of life all the residents have, it's also so reassuring to see the pictures and the team deserve enormous credit.
I can only highly recommend Boroughbridge Manor care home as a place to be when your loved ones need it most, thank you for everything you continue to do, it is always very much appreciated.

I can recommend The Boroughbridge Manor for the highest accolade, they are taking great care of my father and go above and beyond to ensure he has the best care from the kindest, most caring team. The team are outstanding and has a wonderful sense of humour and is always very positive, I was worried
about taking the steps for Dad to move into care but he is better now than he has been for some time and I cannot thank the excellent team enough. They are always very welcoming when family visit too and the place is immaculate in a lovely location too.

My friend suffers from dementia and was frightened and anxious upon her admission.
The staff were amazing and brilliant through this transition.
We are two weeks post admission and she has completely settled, this is down to the staff who clearly know how to work with residents and issues created
through this awful disease.
My friend is going from strength to strength and as a result, I can highly recommend this dementia unit with no qualms at all.

Since my dad came here I am able to visit and leave him, the knowledge of knowing he is happy and extremely well looked after. The staff go above and beyond for everyone. My dad is very content living there and through this, I do not have the constant worry which I did from him being in a previous setting.
The care home is immaculate every time I visit, all the staff are a great team and make the care home the best!

When you can no longer look after your loved one and a family needs help to do that, you think nowhere will be good enough! How wrong we were. All the staff at Boroughbridge Manor Care Home go above and beyond to care for and support that reason. They give so much more than we could do ourselves or
even with a package of care in their own home. Certainly, the best choice we made. But most importantly mum is happy and safe! Thank you

This care home is run in a caring and inclusive manner. The manager's door is always open and welcoming. I would assure anyone that this home isn't only run to a high standard, where the residents are always put first, but communication with relatives is excellent. My mum arrived here unable to walk
more than a few sites. Through the encouragement and patience of the staff, she was walking the length of corridors within weeks. Prior to coming to Boroughbridge Manor, she wasn't eating well and had lost weight. Now she is enjoying her food and putting on weight. I cannot praise Boroughbridge Manor highly enough in the short review.

I was most impressed by the attitude of the carers and administration staff towards the patients in their care. Problems were dealt with in a gentle but effective manner and they were quick to come to assist when needed. I was pleased to hear that recreational activities such as armchair exercises were
included in the itinerary. The food looked excellent and the clientele was obviously enjoying it. Congrats to the chef!

Over the last 5 years we have seen the hard work and dedication of the team at Boroughbridge and particularly the manager.
It's wonderful to say that every effort has been made to make my aunt more comfortable.
Clearly, the COVID restrictions made life more challenging, but again the staff were outstanding.

I have only been in the home 1/2, during that time, all have been helpful and respectful. The staff are cheerful and are helping me to adjust from caring for myself at home with minimal care to having to cope with being unable to walk. Thank you.

Every time I have been to visit my mother-in-law, I have been greeted by professional, friendly staff. Manor Care Home is very modern, clean and bright; the pictures on the wall are very interesting. The staff looking after the residents obviously enjoy their job and encourage motivation. Even the maintenance
staff enjoy being part of the team.

Easy to book a visit and all covid procedures are followed correctly. Warm clean environment and staff are always to hand nothings to much trouble. My father is well looked after and responds well with the staff I’m always made welcome and coffee and cake are always offered. Dad is always clean and

The staff are always lovely and happy on my visits. Everything is spotless and my Uncle is well looked after. I really like visiting him there. His room is great and he is happy all down to the excellent staff.

Excellent as usual. The care I can see my brother receives is exceptional. The staff are not only great with my brother but also to us as a family as well. The facility we use (the bubble room) is great as we can have any private conversation if needs be. 10 out of 10 again.

Myself and Leann have created a wonderful culture within Boroughbridge Manor and we work together to give our residents the best possible experiences.


We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each resident's preferences so that we can deliver a person-centred program of events and activities. We are extremely fortunate to have our very own minibus, we love taking the residents out for coffee, shopping and lots of fun trips whether that be to the museum or the seaside.

Hi, my name is Karen and I am the Head Chef here at Boroughbridge Manor. I started here at the home in July 2024 and transferred from our sister home, Leeming Bar Grange where I was the home's second chef.


I am passionate about the delivery of quality food and here at Boroughbridge Manor, we provide a wonderful choice of delicious and wholesome dishes. The food and the dining experience at Boroughbridge Manor is recognised as an integral part of the lifestyle here at the home and I am responsible for managing the catering team, ensuring they provide a quality catering service to all our residents, guests and visitors.

Lynette Sellers

Job Title: Home Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Lynette became a part of the Boroughbridge Manor family in the summer of 2024 and takes great pride in her role as our Home Deputy Manager.


She is dedicated to creating a positive impact not only in the lives of our residents and their families but also among our colleagues at the home.


In her leisure time, Lynette enjoys walking, gardening, baking, and knitting.

Sue joined the Boroughbridge Manor family in the autumn of 2024 and is proud to be our homes administrator.


She takes great pride in her role and assisting our relatives and residents and supporting the home community.

Tom has been an integral member of the Boroughbridge Manor family since 2020 and takes great pride in his role as Head of Maintenance.


He is dedicated to serving the residents, ensuring the home maintains the highest standards. He expresses his passion for helping others with great enthusiasm.


Outside of work, Tom is a devoted family man who cherishes spending time with his wife and daughter.

Gillian Cavanagh

Job Title: Admin Assistant Receptionist Joined: 2024

Gillian joined the Boroughbridge Manor family in the summer of 2024 and quickly became a much cherished member of the team.


She loves to be the first point of contact for our visitors and greeting them with a warm welcome.


Gillian speaks warmly about how much she enjoys interacting with and meeting people.


Away from the home Gillian enjoys going for walks on the beach with her 2 springer spaniels. Domino and Zebedee, playing the piano and she loves all things paranormal.

Tanya Kutna

Tanya joined the Boroughbridge family in the summer of 2024 and is proud to be Team Leader in the home.


She speaks with passion about how happy it makes her to be given the opportunity to help other, relishing the opportunity to make the residents happy and how the home is like a family to her whilst adding about the great opportunities given at Boroughbridge Manor.


Away from the home, Tanya enjoys roller skating, she has has a passion for creativity in arts, crafts, hair and nails and she loves to try new things.

Ciara

Job Title: Therapy Dog Joined: 2022

Ciara is our home's regular visiting therapy dog and is part of Therapy Pets Nationwide.


She is a beautiful and extremely affectionate 11-year-old black Labrador whom our residents simply adore.


Kiera loves a good fuss and is always excited to see our residents again.
