This is the second respite care stay at Ross Court for my Mum. She was welcomed by all staff using her Christian name. Which made her feel very welcome, immediately. She was treated with care, respect and love. It is comforting for me as her regular carer that she can be looked after so well at Ross Court to enable me to have a carefree break

Overall Experience

From my initial visits to moving my family member into the care home my experience was excellent and I would highly recommend Lydfords to anybody looking for a home for their family member or friend. The home is extremely well presented and maintained and most importantly the staff are excellent, being both friendly and helpful, carrying out their jobs to the highest possible standard, and treating my family member with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff and care home made this whole process, which is always difficult and emotionally challenging, as easy as possible and have been a huge source of comfort and reassurance to me and the rest of the family. Lydfords have exceeded my expectations in every way possible and I cannot speak highly enough about the home and its staff.

I have been visiting Friston House regularly since my brother moved there in 2024 He is bed bound and needs a lot of care I have always found that he has been very well looked after.

The staff are very friendly, and efficients and considerate.

Overall Experience

Understanding of Mum's needs and nothing was to much trouble. My brother and I have no worries at all our mum is in the right place. Her problems will get smaller staying here and I hope she will make new friends and enjoy herself as well as getting better.

All staff are very caring understanding and friendly. I know I can approach anyone with concerns and questions at any time. Regular activities where relatives are encouraged to attend. Overall The Dales has a very homely atmosphere.

Mum initially came for respite care in June but settled in so well that she became a permanent resident in August; being there has given her a new lease of life. The home is very well appointed and comfortable for the residents and very welcoming to visitors. The care Mum receives has been excellent and all the staff are lovely.

Overall Experience

When my father suddenly and unexpectedly needed to move into a care home in May 2026, The Dales in Draughton became our immediate savior. From the relaxing initial interview, the family were given the confidence and assurance that this was a lovely, clean, caring and professional environment. Set in a beautiful small hamlet and valley, parking is easy and we always receive a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The rooms, lounge and restaurant are invitingly set out, and it is a pleasure to visit. Equally, the family receive constant updates on my father's health and the numerous social activities taking place (which we are also invited to attend). My father was the sort of man who never wanted to live in a care home, yet he is truly happy to be here and has made many friends with residents and the staff. Most importantly, he feels safe, secure and professionally looked after. Thank you.

Overall Experience

Mum was transfered to Challoner from Hospital to recover and receive care. Unfortunately she was only there 9 days but was so well cared for by all staff. I couldn't have wished for better.

Overall Experience
There is all exceptional care team in the dementia unit, that looked after my father. The team worked together, carried out their duties with ultimate professional care and approach. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked for help, which was provided in a caring professional way.

Staff attitude was exceptional, always there, willing to help. My father greatly benefited from the care as he was only here for 8 months. I have no hesitation in recommending the care home, and I will always be indebted to the excellent care. Thankyou to you all.

We had amazing concert by professional classical musicians here today.
The composer/pianist along with a violinist and cellist.

The atmosphere was magical due to beatiful music, ambiance and people.

My mom has been a resident at Kenwyn since the 30th of May 2026. Unfortunately due to her type of dementia and paranoia my mom hasn't settled, she still wants to come home. However, the management, receptionists, nurses, events team have been doing everything they can to help my mom settle. The other thing is she's now eating and taking her medication which she refused to do when living at home. I can't praise everyone highly enough and I know my mom is safe and can't wonder off which she did four times.

Had a lovely time visiting my friend today at Wilton Place. The staff were great and the atmosphere was welcoming. The other residents were enjoying tea and cake in the garden brought to them by a member of staff so we joined them! I could see a number of activities had been arranged for the day and I took a quick peak at the lunch menu - looked great, well done Barchester! The dinning room was set up like a proper restaurant - looked very inviting.

My mum is 88 years old and wasn't safe at her own home. So she and the family all agreed that she
Should go into a care home. We chose Cadbury Hall as it was convenient and beautifully decorated and furnished . Plus the staff seemed super friendly. The family now has peace of mind and Mum is enjoying all the comforts of a very comfortable home without any of the stress.

I firmly recommend this care home it's top notch. So pleased we chose Cadbury Hall.

I am very happy here. I love going outside & in the garden. The food & care is amazing.
I came from another home where I had never been outside for a year & had no windows in the main room & I was very depressed.

Mam is happy and content at Appletree Grange, all the staff are caring friendly and helpful. They have kept the activities going until they can recruit an activities co ordinator so the residents have had stimulation and participated in some lovely events. The home looks lovely following the refurbishment and its very clean. Mam said everyone in the the home is 5 star.

The care and comfort afforded to my 90 year old mother, whose mental capacities are declining, continues to be of the highest standard. The majority of staff are helpful and considerate as she becomes more and more difficult to care for on a daily basis. My brother and I are grateful for the care staff, maintenance staff, housekeepers, cooks, cleaners, admin staff and management for their continuing care afforded to our mother. I would recommend Hunters Care Centre, Cirencester to anyone who have a loved one needing care.

I had a lovely time with Yettve today and a cup of coffee and a lovely bit of cake.

The foyer is our favourite chatting spot. We have a cuppa with anyone who walks by. Yvette seems very happy here. Thank you to the cake provider!

It a wonderful place and Yvette have really settled in we enjoy coming to see her every week and having conversations with the other residents

My mother has experienced several different periods of respite care in 2026.
Care staff always very kind, caring and professional. Admin staff friendly, helpful and go over and above to be accomodating.

Although my mother with poor mobility and dementia likes being at home, she has always enjoyed her stays and been enabled to join in, and get the best out of life, while staying at Falmouth care.
