I have been working in health and social care since 2005, I have a nursing background and achieved my Bachelor of Nursing in 2004. I love my job and find it extremely rewarding to work in a care home setting rather than a clinical hospital, I am privileged to have such a long-term involvement in someone's life and to make a difference in their day, putting a smile on their faces and helping them with any concerns they might have.
I am a mother to a lovely little girl, aged ten and the wife of a very supportive husband. We love spending precious time together and have many hobbies, such as playing the piano, singing, riding our bicycles and having friends around.
I have worked for Barchester Health Care since 2016 and joined the wonderful team at Bloomfield Care Centre as Deputy Manager at the beginning of 2023.
I originally started my nursing career supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, the transition to supporting older adults has been fantastic and I haven’t looked back since. I am passionate about my job and working alongside the team to help them provide high-quality person-centred care.
It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be able to get to know our residents, as well as their friends and family. Finding out and implementing what is important to them, as well as for them.

I started working at Bloomfield as a bank Senior Carer in 2010. At the time I was doing my leadership and Management in the Health and Social Care for Young and Old People. Once this was completed I decided to become a permanent employee as I enjoyed working with people from different walks of life, especially dementia. Ensuring their well-being and having a meaningful life is like a goal achieved. Whilst at Bloomfield I studied as Care Practitioner and this is the role I am now in, supporting the trained nurses and the carers in their home. I love what I do.

I find working at Bloomfield to be very rewarding, and I am open to new challenges each day.
I have worked at Bloomfield Care Centre for 8 years now. I love my role and the team I work with. Before joining the team here, I supported people in their own homes.
