My mother has lived at Barchester Bloomfield Care Home since November last year. She has changed from a withdrawn and lonely old lady into someone happy with life, joining in and making new friends. Her dementia has been supported by your staff so it has not been an isolating barrier but just part of being Mum. She is well fed and looked after and I am hugely relieved she is safe and people are there if help is needed. I hope she can have now quite a few years of a new, happier life. I have admired the professionalism but also the caring attitude of all your staff. Mum is in good company. Thank you for giving her some good years now.

This care home is lovely. It's well run, comfortable and well maintained. The food is very good with nice menu choices. The dining room and lounge areas are welcoming, beautifully furnished and comfortable. Full marks to the staff who couldn't be more caring and friendly. My mum feels safe and cared for here.

What a fantastic care home.
What fantastic staff.
My husband was cared for with care, support and dignity. Not just for him but also myself, I had someone to support and talk to me at all times.
I cannot highly recommend this care home enough.

Thank you all.

The entire team at Bloomfield have been fantastic since dad's admission in February. As a relative, the most important thing to feel is that dad is well cared for and the team fulfill this in spades. Everyone we have encountered is kind, empathetic, supportive and professional. This is the first time I have had any dealings with a care home, and this one has allayed every concern I had. My thanks to every one of them.

At first our mother struggled to come to terms with being in a care home, but now almost 1 1/2 yrs later is now settled and happier. The staff are very good and always something for them to do most days if they wish or always O.K. too if mum doesn't want to join in.

Mam has been in the Bloomfield Home for quite a few years now. But all I can say is she has been so well looked after since she moved in. Everyone on the Salisbury ward from the Bottom to the top staff, care for her with so much love. Rekha is one lady I will mention she always comes to talk to me and tells me about Mum.

I find the staff here very pleasent. The food that Mum has is very nice & nutritious. Mums room is clean & tidy when she lets the staff in to cleanup!! We would like Mum to have more baths, we know she likes it when she in it, but can be a bit refusing, towards staff unfortunately. The hairdresser does a lovely job too.

My wife, Kate (who has secondary progressive MS with complex care needs), has been at Bloomfield since May, initially for respite and then as a local authority funded resident from mid-July. I and my family were deeply relieved that and kindness has meant that she has made the transition with unexpected ease, in her acceptance of leaving home (and me). I see her most days and am relieved and impressed with the love & affection of the staff (especial mention to Julia, nurse) & level of practical care;

Our mum arrived in January of this year, she settled really well. The staff from reception, laundry, care staff have been fantastic. Mum always looks clean and well cared for. The staff communication is very good and the family are always well informed regarding Mum's care, our visits are much more settled not. As a family we can not fault the care.

I visited on two separate occasions, one of my longest and closest friends, during the last stage of her courageous battle against cancer. Sadly, our 54 year friendship which started during our school days, ended yesterday.
I would like to highly commend Bloomfield NH, for most importantly, the wonderful care they gave to my dear friend. The 24 hour open door policy speaks for itself, so what you see is what you get at ALL times. This was a very important factor for me.
Bloomfield was also exceptionally clean. My friend was in a comfortable, cosy, well decorated bedroom, which could have been her one at home and not the austere bedroom that I had imagined.
From the moment I entered the home all the staff I had dealings with were friendly, polite and efficient. I would however like to particularly acknowledge the nurse/head of the unit who spoke to me empathetically whilst maintaining patient and family confidentiality.

As I left, I knew that my dear friend WAS in safe hands.Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic care provided at Bloomfield. The staff are friendly and cheerful. They did everything in helping to support my dad for the two years he lived there. It was a great comfort to know he was safe and happy there. Every single member of staff I met over the two years were excellent in the professional quality of care they delivered. They were always welcoming and made a real connection with my dad which made him feel safe and secure. Thank you Bloomfield team, you're amazing.

We were really worried about my father in law joining the home, but we shouldn't have been. They have provided for his every need. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. We have had support every step of the way. It's never easy having to make the choice we had to make, but we are glad we found this care home with its excellent staff and services. Thankyou.

My mother moved to Bloomfield on Friday 31st January, having resided at another care home previously for 7-and-a-half years. She moved due to the fact that she had dementia and had become too frail for the previous care home to fully meet her needs. I can honestly say that although this was a very anxious time for us as a family in moving Mum at this stage, especially due to her frailty, it was the best decision that we could have made. Bloomfield made it a very easy and smooth transition. Mum is very well cared for by the lovely caring and friendly staff. Mum appears very happy and engaged in her new environment. The staff and activities coordinators take the time to get to know each individual resident and encourage them to join in with the activities, whatever their abilities. Mum has thrived beyond my dreams since moving to Bloomfield. My regret is that she didn't move there years ago!

I joined Bloomfield in December 2025 and have really enjoyed becoming part of the team.
