Hi! My name is Simona, and I am the Senior General Manager here at Farley Gardens. My team and I can't wait to welcome you into our beautiful new home.

My role is to ensure that we deliver what we say we do. I am responsible for overall service delivery to our residents and community, inspiring and leading the team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.

I trained as a nurse in Italy and worked there for 20 years in that capacity. The last 7 years before leaving Italy, I had the privilege of serving the public healthcare sector through managing and leading frontline hospital services. In 2017, I came to the UK and joined the NHS, which I was particularly proud of. I have learnt a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey.

I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others. The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful.

After serving in the NHS, I was immediately drawn to Barchester because of the culture and principles the organisation aspires to.

I am now passionately working with the community and my team here at Farley Gardens to take the home’s services forward. My team and I are fully committed to embedding the Barchester Values: RESPECT, INTEGRITY, PASSION, EMPOWERMENT and RESPONSIBILITY.

Hello, My name is Oana and I am the Deputy Manager here at Farley Gardens.

I began working in the care sector 9 years ago and have progressed in my career to become a Deputy Manager. It is a true pleasure to be working in this beautiful, luxury home.

I love supporting our residents and take great fulfilment in being actively involved in their care. It is important to me that myself and my team work hard to understand the residents personal goals, support their wellbeing and simply be a consistent and compassionate presence in their lives.

I am passionate about learning new things and developing my skills. The best way to progress is by embracing every opportunity, as no task is too small, and no challenge is too big. My philosophy! Stay curious, stay involved and keep evolving.

I am so pleased to be part of Barchester Healthcare. Working as along side Simona and the team is a privilege and I am confident that together, we will provide great care, offer a wonderful lifestyle and bring happiness to our residents and each other.

Outside of work, I am an avid traveller, I enjoy exploring new places with my son, husband and my mother in law, a combination that guarantees both adventure and entertainment. Greece is my favourite destination (my second home), though I am open to any place with good food. I also love reading and indulging in a well prepared meal, believing that a great book and a good meal are the perfect way for recharge.

Hello, my name is Hayley, and I am the Administrator here at Farley Gardens.

I am originally from South Africa, and I joined Barchester in 2022. Previously, I have worked as a support worker, and I have also been a hairdresser. My personal mission statement is to do my best to promote kindness. I love working with people, and I am so excited to be part of the amazing team here at Farley Gardens.

Hi, My name is Harley and I joined Farley Gardens as Admin Assistant in 2025.

With over a decade of experience in administrative roles including within the automotive industry, Harley brings strong organisational skills and attention to detail to the Farley Gardens team. After many years working behind a screen, Harley was eager to move into a role that offered more personal connection - one where she could interact with people face to face and make a positive difference every day.

Having cared for a loved one, Harley developed a deep empathy and passion for supporting others; something that shines through in her work and approach to our residents and their families.

Outside of work, Harley loves spending time outdoors, especially paddle boarding, and enjoys relaxing with a good film - with Harry Potter being a firm favourite.

Hi, my name is Jo and I’m the Home Services Advisor here at Farley Gardens.

The first decade of my career was spent in hospitality, working with iconic London venues such as The Gherkin, where I planned everything from corporate events to luxury weddings.

Over the last five years, I’ve transitioned into the care sector, supporting families and care seekers across Berkshire and Surrey. This role is one I find deeply meaningful, particularly during what can be a challenging time for those making care decisions. I pride myself on my empathetic approach, offering guidance informed not only by professional experience but also by my own personal journey.

A part of the role I especially enjoy is community engagement – building connections and creating a welcoming environment for all.

Hello, my name is Fleur, and I am the Activities Lead here at Farley Gardens. I have been working in care for the past 5 years, predominantly in Day Centres for people living with dementia. I have been a club manager for the past two years, involved in care planning, networking, organising activities, events and day trips. All of these were tailored to individuals' likes, interests and cognitive abilities - making sure each individual person was happy. My ethos is to bring humour, inclusivity and kindness, and I am excited to bring this to my role here in our wonderful new home. I am excited to be working with such a great team and in such a beautiful environment, and I really look forward to supporting our residents each day in their homes. In my free time, you will often find me walking my Golden Retriever, ‘Dudley’, on the beach. Love crafting, dressmaking and baking.

Hello, my name is Baltazar, and I am the Second Chef here at Farley Gardens.

I recently moved to this area to fulfil this exciting new job role. I am originally from the Philippines; however, I came to England to study as a culinary chef. Through the years, I have worked in high-end hotels and restaurants, including the Hilton.

I love to create a wonderful mealtime experience for people, and I am so pleased to be working at Farley Gardens and being given the opportunity to cater for our residents. I will work hard to provide delicious and nutritional seasonal menus that give our residents variety and food they love.

Hello, my name is Bruno, and I am the kitchen assistant here at Farley Gardens. I am from Brazil and in 2008 I graduated there in History, which led me to work in museums, public archives and a primary school. In 2016, I moved to Germany, where a good friend got me into working in the kitchen environment, and I have done this ever since, working as a pizza chef, grill chef and team leader. I am really pleased to be working for Barchester in this new and beautiful home. I look forward to working with my team, our new residents and their loved ones in this luxury environment.

Marie joined the Farley Gardens team when we first opened in July 2025 and has been a friendly, welcoming presence ever since.

As our Hospitality Host, Marie is the front of house and the friendly face of our kitchen team, helping to ensure mealtimes are not only well-organised but also an enjoyable experience for everyone. With a background in retail, care, pharmacy and the leisure industry, Marie brings a wealth of experience and a warm, approachable nature to her role.

Marie says the best part of her job is getting to know people and putting a smile on their faces – something she does every day with genuine care and kindness.

Outside of work, Marie loves spending time outdoors, going for walks, and unwinding with a cosy evening and her favourite films.

Hello, my name is Dorina, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Farley Gardens. I have been working as a housekeeping manager during my career, and now I am able to bring my skills to our new home. I am excited to be part of this wonderful new team, and I am thoroughly looking forward to meeting our new residents. Helping to keep their environment a comfortable one to live in and enjoy will always be my priority. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, particularly my grandchildren.

Hello, my name is Tony, and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Farley Gardens.

After serving 15 years in the military, I decided it was time to take on a new challenge. I have been working in the care industry for just over 5 years, running maintenance in care homes. It is a role that brings me great satisfaction knowing I am providing a safe, comfortable and happy environment for our residents.

I have been part of Barchester Healthcare for 3 years, and I thoroughly enjoy working for the company. They take the safety of our residents extremely seriously, and it is my pleasure to bring this to Farley Gardens. I have a wonderful team around me who I regularly train on safety procedures and changes in policy, and I will always do everything possible to keep our residents, their loved ones and the team safe. In my spare time, I have owned gyms, I enjoy football and being outdoors with my family.

Hello, my name is Chaka, and I am a Senior Care Assistant here at Farley Gardens. I have been working in care for the last 20 years, 10 of those were working with young adults living with mental health issues. I then began my 10-year career supporting the elderly, and I continue to love this every day. I am so pleased to be part of the Farley Gardens team and working for Barchester. We are excited to welcome our new residents and their loved ones to the home, and I look forward to supporting them on their journey with us.

Hello, my name is Bindi and I am a Senior Carer here at Farley Gardens. I am originally from Nepal, and I came to the UK 7 years ago. I have 5 years of experience working in the care sector and have enjoyed it thoroughly so far. I really love my job and I am extremely passionate about delivering dignified, person-centred care to our residents. I joined Barchester to develop my career, and I am excited to be part of opening this wonderful home. Hello, my name is Mihaela, and I am a Senior Carer here at Farley Gardens. I came the the UK from Romania in 2011 and I have been working in care since then. Hello, my name is Ben and I am a Senior Care Assistant at Farley Gardens. I recently moved to the area to fulfil this exciting new job role.

I am originally from Oxfordshire and have worked in the care sector for 13 years as a lead support worker looking after vulnerable adult with learning disabilities. I wanted to become a senior carer at Barchester so I could be part of this amazing team in this wonderful home but mostly so I had the opportunity to look after our residents. I am very excited for this new chapter and to bring my skills and knowledge to Farley Gardens however the thing I look forward to the most is providing the best care, enriching lives, promoting independence and maintaining the best quality of life for all the residents we support.

Hello, my name is Arjun, and I work at Farley Gardens as a Care Assistant. I joined Farley Gardens when we opened in June 2025. Since studying for a Chemistry degree at the University of Glasgow, I bring energy and compassion to this role, providing excellent care to our residents. I enjoy getting to know each individual and value the stories and life experiences they share. In my spare time, I like exploring web development and coding.

Emily joined us in July 2025 and brings a warm and compassionate approach to her role here at Farley Gardens Care Home. Before joining the team, she worked with young adults with learning disabilities, gaining valuable experience in providing person-centred care and support.

With a background in hospitality, Emily thrives on the buzz of community life and loves being around people. She is passionate about creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where residents feel valued and supported. Emily is also eager to continue developing her skills and is currently working towards achieving her NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys arts and crafts (particularly crochet) and often brings her creativity and positivity into daily life at home. She is delighted to be part of the Farley Gardens family and looks forward to supporting residents with kindness, respect and a smile.

Jacqui has been part of the Farley Gardens family since we first opened, bringing with her a caring nature and a wonderful attention to detail. With over four years’ experience working in care, she is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate support to all our residents.

Before beginning her career in care, Jacqui worked as a painter and decorator—a skill that has given her a keen eye for detail and a love of creating warm, welcoming spaces. She especially enjoys hearing the incredible life stories of our residents, believing that “people are our history.”

Outside of work, Jacqui enjoys swimming and spending time with her six grandchildren, who keep her busy and full of energy. Her warmth, positivity and dedication make her a valued and much-loved member of our team.

Hello, My name is Elsie, Resident Ambassador here at Farley Gardens.

Elsie is a valued member of our community and we are thrilled to have her represent our residents.
As Resident Ambassador, Elsie’s role is to act as a voice for all residents, communicating their wishes, suggestions and feedback to our staff team.

Elsie is a very kind and thoughtful lady with a great sense of humour who enjoys socialising with residents and the staff team. Elsie loves quizzes, baking, visiting new places on our minibus outings and values spending time with her family.
