Glebefields Care Home provides to its residents high-standard residential, nursing and respite care in an attractive location with far-reaching views of beautiful countryside. The home, a stone-built former rectory near the village of Banbury, fully refurbished in 2022 to luxury standards throughout, features standard and double bedrooms which are all en-suite. Although the home is in a rural setting, residents benefit from easy access to shops, restaurants and public transport links.

Staff are always on hand to support residents and are dedicated to continually enhance residents' quality of life. They go above and beyond to understand residents' needs and wishes to provide the best service possible. Each day is planned as per the choices of the residents and their interests and what they prefer to do on a daily basis.

Meals are cooked inhouse with great care to residents' dietary needs. The tasty menu is varied so residents can try something new every day.

All the staff at Glebefields Care Home are friendly and welcoming. My mother had a 3 week respite care break at Glebefields and she was very well looked after.
Not do the staff care very well for the residents but their visitors are also welcomed and very well looked after.

My friend has been a resident for nearly 4 years. the quality of her care has not altered, in my opinion since day one. Today was her 90th birthday and together with her daughter and one staff member, in particular, she was given the most wonderful birthday party. She was thrilled. Well done Glebefields.

Although Dad only got to spend 7 weeks in Glebefields we experienced the full breadth of care.
From the very first time we stepped foot into the home we received the very best care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. From the manage to the kitchen staff we were respected, treated with kindness
and compassion. Dad had a five star experience, I am sorry he never got to live longer to enjoy it. I feel like I now have a second family - The Glebefields family xx

I was very happy with the care my aunt received at Barchester Glebefields Care Home. The staff were always very friendly and helpful when we visited. Residents we provided with a wide variety of activities to enjoy and participate in. I was impressed with the inside of the building being bright and
inviting. All the rooms were immaculate and clean and tidy. It was pleasing to see items belonging to my aunt in her room, which made it more like home which held memories for her. Overall, I cannot fault the home at all.

Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive, gardens are lovely at the front of the building. Always greeted with cheerful, friendly staff. Nursing and caring staff are amazing. I do think that residents that need moving around in a bed or can only sit in a chair, due to terminal
illness, require a ground-floor room where they can view outside or push bed beside an open French door. Ground-floor room should be available with no mobility.

My mother has stayed at Barchester Glebefields Care Home on several occasions, ranging from one week up to three weeks. Having looked, in-depth, at many care homes, it is obvious that those within the Barchester groups stand out from the rest. I know I have my mother's full support in completing this
review and I know there is nowhere she would rather be when taking a respite break. In her own words, Glebefields is a home-from-home. My mother is now 98 and requires the level of support, kindness and consideration afforded by the management and the staff at Glebefields. I am sure that my mother will return to Glebefields again in the future.

Both the home and staff have surpassed our expectations - it has to be experienced to be believed!

Always made very welcome when we visit. The resident we visit has been in the care home for a few weeks now and has settled in very well. She always says how lovely her room is, she enjoys the food and the staff are very caring. Having lived on her own for many years, she is enjoying the company of

On our first visit, we were greeted with a friendly smile and a welcome cup of coffee. The staff were extremely helpful and showed us around and explained the care that would be provided. The residents were all very chatty and appeared to be enjoying themselves with various activities.
We knew that
this care home would be ideal for our neighbour and felt confident that we had made the correct choice for her.

I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring.

My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and discussion about our services.

I joined the Glebefields family in 2023, having earned my master’s degree in electrical engineering from Coventry University. My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.


In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.
