A lovely, cheerful place.
Our friend seemed happy and replaced in her colourful room.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We appreciate the review and will work hard to meet your expectations to achieve five stars.
First visit to Barchester Glebefields Care Home and very impressed with the overall view of the facilities and the resident that my wife and I went to see was very happy with all aspects, re. facilities, food and staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We appreciate the review and will work hard to meet your expectations to achieve five stars.
Enjoyable stay, very good. Such a wonderful team took it all well, enjoyable. Food great, dining enjoyable. I would come again and pleased with everything.
Thank you Catherine for leaving us with positive feedback. Your comments are much appreciated and we will be sure to share this with the team.
So glad I chose Glebefields.
Thank you, Pauline, for leaving us feedback. The team strives to deliver high standards of care to our residents and feedback helps us improve our services regularly.
Very well run, very good care. Made us feel confident. The nurses were very helpful, they explained everything to us. The whole place is very clean and modern. My friend was well looked after, he was only in the home for a short while before he passed away. It was reassuring that his last days were comfortable. They also let us take the dog in to see him which was very nice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. At Glebefields we take pride in delivering high standards of person-centred care to our residents and feedback like yours keeps us motivated.
A very caring home. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped and modern. We were never ‘in the way’ and encouraged to do whatever we thought would help. Despite only being in Glebefields for a few weeks before sadly passing away it is reassuring to know his time was as comfortable and peaceful as it could have been.
Thank you Helen for taking the time to give us feedback. At Glebefields we take pride in delivering high standards of person-centred care to our residents.
Ours was only a brief visit but I found the staff very welcoming.
Thank you, Maureen, for leaving us feedback. We will work towards improving our services and support our residents in the best possible way.
Everything looks great. Staff are very attentive and pleasant.
Thank you, Sylvie, for finding time to leave us feedback. We are working towards providing high standards of care and support to our residents.
My impression was excellent!
Thank you, Janet, for leaving us feedback. We are committed to providing high standards of care to our residents.
My dad came to the home after being in the hospital, and he needed 24/7 care. As a family, we were unable to give him the care he needed. The staff are friendly and care for my dad very well, and keep us informed on how he is doing and any concerns they have. He enjoys the activities at the home and the trips he’s been on. It gives us, as a family, peace of mind to know he’s getting the care he needs and that he’s in a safe environment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. The team at Glebefields is striving to provide the best possible care to our residents and is happy to go that extra mile for them. The feedback will be shared amongst the team for them to feel appreciated.
The room was well laid out and facilities were good. Disturbance at night from other residents. No other people to play games with or have reasonable social interaction.
Hi Pat. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Glebefields, your kind comments regarding our rooms and facilities have been shared with our care home team. We are sorry to read that sleep was disturbed during your loved ones time with us, our staff do all they can to keep the rooms...
I recently went as a member of Adderbury ukulele group to entertain the residents. We were made to feel very welcome. The residents were helped to make the most of our performance and we were all served refreshments together. A big thank you to all the staff.
Thank you Mary for leaving us a feedback. We are committed to provide the best possible life enrichment to our residents, your involvement is vital to achieve the best. Thank you for visiting Glebefields.
Lovely, clean and fresh care home. Always refreshments on arrival. Staff are friendly and on hand.
Thank you, Leigh, for leaving us feedback. Feedback is encouraging and motivating for the team to improve and continue delivering high standards of care.
Thank you all.
Thank you for leaving us a review. The team at Glebefields works really hard to provide high standards of personalised care to our residents. It's always motivating for the team to continue the same.
The food is tasty and well-presented, and the portions are an ideal size for the smaller appetites of the elderly. The service was friendly, speedy and efficient.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. The team at Glebefields strives to provide high standards of personalised care.
Overall experience is very good, though some of the staff don't seem to communicate with each other. For example, instructions for meals, especially breakfast, are not carried out; no honey brought with porridge, no spoon brought with egg. Some of planned activities don't happen, especially in the lounge, as residents stay in their rooms. The food is excellent and the room is comfortable with a superb view. External door to my room is permanently locked, I'm told that is because I'm not the only resident. Occasionally fear that another resident might wander through my room and escape, e.g. while I'm asleep.
Summer fete held in the picturesque grounds of the home with BBQ and ice cream van. Despite the windy blustery weather it was very well organised and attended by staff, visitors and stall holders. The staff in particular were brilliant and helpful at all times with residents and visitors alike. A special thank you to the activities coordinator) for organising the event. Such a lovely day. Thank you to all.
Thank you Christopher for taking time to send us a review. Your support for the home has been highly commended by the whole team at Glebefields.
Overall a great respite stay that my mother really enjoyed. Only negative we were told on collection that Mum did not use incontinence pants during her stay which left us confused. In her suitcase, she had an incontinence pant brand we did not use and was also incontinent as before on returning home.
Thank you, Feisal for taking the time to give us your review. We apologise for the miscommunication and have passed on the review to the clinical team. We will be using your feedback to ensure we have better communications within the team and with the clients.
My mother came here to recuperate after being poorly. She has been well cared for and is now much more her normal self and is looking forward to being able to return home.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. Hope Mum is now doing well at home. We will definitely share your feedback with our team.
I find the care home very good for my husband's needs. The staff are very obliging in taking care of everyday things to make life comfortable.

Meet the Team (15)

Hi, my name is Benazir, and I am the General Manager here at Glebefields Care Home.
I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring. My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and a discussion about our services.

Hello, my name is Jeni Abraham, and I joined the Barchester team in August 2025 as a Bank Nurse and was quickly promoted to my current clinical management role as Deputy Manager. I have felt incredibly supported since joining the organisation and our fantastic team.
With a rich nursing career that began in 2005, I am deeply passionate about my profession. I have an extensive clinical background that includes vital experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in fast-paced environments, such as the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units abroad. I also spent six years working in various care home settings within the Banbury area, which provides me with invaluable local experience.
In my personal life outside my role at Glebefields, I cherish spending quality time with my family and relaxing and joy in painting.

I’m Dinesh, the Home Administrator at Glebefields. My journey with Barchester began in July 2022 when I joined as an Admin Assistant, and I was proud to step into the Administrator role in May 2025.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Business and Management, completed in 2019, and a Postgraduate Diploma in People Management, achieved in 2021. This academic foundation has equipped me with strong skills in leadership, organisational strategy, and team development skills that I use every day to support the smooth running of our home.
My passion for the care sector comes from a deep belief in compassion, dignity, and respect at every stage of life. I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a meaningful difference, and working in care allows me to contribute to the well-being of residents while supporting the dedicated teams who look after them. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community where even the smallest action can brighten someone’s day.
As Home Administrator, I’m committed to creating a supportive, efficient, and welcoming environment. Ensuring that both residents and colleagues feel valued, empowered, and heard is at the heart of everything I do. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive impact—and I’m proud to be part of a sector that places humanity at its core.

Hi, I'm Nicola and have just recently joined Glebefields as the Admin Assistant, and I look forward to meeting and supporting all our residents, their families, healthcare professionals and suppliers who visit the home on a regular basis. I will be based at the main reception in our beautiful café. Please do pop in for a cup of coffee and cake and say hello.

Hi, I'm Simon. My role here at Glebefields is Head of Maintenance. I am extremely excited and proud to be supported and empowered to deliver a first-class service to all our residents, their families, visitors and our team.
Whilst part of my role is compliance and health and safety, I feel very passionate about supporting the life enrichment programme, to ensure everyone can build positive lasting memories. I take pride in everything I do within the maintenance department, ensuring that the home and gardens are safe, enjoyable and comfortable to be in.
During my spare time, I enjoy most sports, gardening and, of course, DIY! I'm proud to be part of the Glebefields team, where we all strive for excellence, for the benefit of everyone.

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I have recently joined the team at Glebefields as the gardener. Before transitioning into the care sector, I spent many years working as an electrical maintenance manager. In that role, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly was all part of my daily job.
I decided to move into care because I wanted to do something deeply meaningful. I wanted a role where I could make a real difference to people’s everyday lives. Being able to support our residents, work alongside a great team, and help create a safe, happy environment is incredibly rewarding to me.
Family is a massive part of my life. I have a son, twin daughters, and a grandson named Albie. Albie is completely convinced that his grandad can fix absolutely everything! I do my best to keep up that reputation, even if it sometimes requires a bit of duct tape and optimism.
When I am not at work, you will usually find me enjoying the golf course, watching football, or bird watching. I also love tackling various DIY projects around my own home. I always enjoy keeping busy, having a laugh, and I am always happy to lend a hand whether that means fixing something or just putting a smile on someone's face.

Hello, my name is Beena, and I'm one of the registered nurses working at Glebefields, providing continued quality care for our residents.
I joined Barchester in 2023, initially as bank staff, and was delighted to become a permanent Registered General Nurse (RGN) in May 2024. My passion is centred on building meaningful relationships with our residents and their families, ensuring every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care. I truly value Barchester's commitment to continuous training and its focus on fostering a supportive, safe working environment where great teamwork thrives.
My experience, which began in 2006 when I worked with elderly residents in the UK, has equipped me with the confidence to navigate challenging situations and reinforced my commitment to compassionate care.
When I am not working, I enjoy exploring and adventures through travel with my family and two children whenever we can.

Hello, I am the Head Chef here at Barchester Glebefields.
I gained my professional qualification over 25 years ago. I have enjoyed a varied career in the hospitality world, working alongside exceptional chefs across multiple cuisines, in 5* Hotels, classic restaurants and schools, etc.
It's a privilege to be part of the Glebefields family. I enjoy my work and am proud to provide a varied and nutritional experience for our residents, tailoring menus and cooking their favourite meals along with offering new culinary experiences to tempt their palettes.

Hello, my name is Fiona, and I share the role of resident ambassador with my friend and fellow resident, Joan. Having two resident ambassadors means all those living at Glebefields have a choice of who they would like to talk to.
On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.
Her love for children and their continued education shaped her life. Fiona is now an avid supporter of all the homes’ Intergenerational Activities and keeps herself young and updated on the latest trends with visits from her ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

I am proud to play an important part in the health and safety of the home and our resident's lives. I enjoy helping in many areas of the home, you will find me caring for residents and also accompanying them on trips. Variety in my work motivates me to learn and experience more each day, I thoroughly enjoy my work and being a part of the wonderful Glebefields team.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.
In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.

Hello, my name is Richard and I'm the Bank Second Chef here at Glebefields.
