The staff, who were under pressure at times and operating in difficult circumstances, were always responsive and caring to carry out their very difficult jobs with good spirit and attitude.
They made my father as well looked after as possible and managed my mother's concerns with good understanding and patience.
The family was always impressed with how the staff coped in these difficult matters and remain most appreciative.
Very supportive care lead and staff team. Informed and caring Dementia Unit. Lovely welcome for family members and friends when visiting. Varied and thoughfully prepared menus. Residents are cared for in a responsive and loving approach to person-centred care.
Glebefields is a lovely residential home - we are impressed by the care provided and the responsiveness of the staff. The rooms are well appointed and kept clean and the food excellent. My father quickly settled in and appreciates the care he is receiving.
My mother has been resident at Glebefields Care Home since January 2009 and I have always found the home and staff very supportive of my mother, and they are excellent in keeping me informed about any issues which affect my mother's health and well-being.
I would just like to express my heartfelt thanks for all that was done for our dad/gramp. The care he received during his time at Glebefields Care Home was second to none and I personally could not have wished for kinder more professional staff.
The carers are wonderful.
I would definitely recommend Glebefields to anyone who finds themselves in need of care for a loved one.
When he arrived 15 months ago he was agitated and unwilling to stay (in the dementia unit) but the staff were patient and understanding and he now says he is content and in 'good condition'.
We looked at several homes for convalescence care for our mother and this home was by far the best. All the staff have been very welcoming, kind and caring, Attention was given to the specific needs and rehabilitation for my mother. We were given a choice of rooms allowing mum to watch the birds from her window. Her room was very comfortable with plenty of space and storage. This care home has been the perfect place for mum to rest/recover and also give my sister and I two weeks of 'respite' after weeks of 24/7 care. We are very appreciative of all the efforts of the whole team. Many thanks.
Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely room. Mum treated at all times with such care.
Many thanks for your kind words and comments, Alison and the Glebefields team.
My father who died at Glebefields aged 93 in December 2016, lived at the care home for the last 16 months of his life. The staff were sensitive to his needs while respecting his privacy and particularly enjoyed the singers and musicians. He loved his room with its beautiful view and appreciated the cheerfulness and friendliness of all the staff.
Many thanks for your kind words and comments, Alison and the Glebefields team.
The entire time mum was a resident at the home, she was always treated with the utmost care and dignity. I visited mum on a regular basis and each time the staff were welcoming, helpful and happy. Information was freely given at all times and I was called if mum was "resident of the day" to ask which "treats" mum would like. Mum passed away before Christmas and again, the staff were fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone there.
When I first visited Glebefields I knew this was the place for my husband to spend his last days of his life. Homely, welcoming, really genuine feeling from the staff. Everyone so caring. He was treated with dignity. Glebefields was like one of the top hotels (even better). I thank God I chose Glebefields.
Many thanks for your kind words and comments, Alison and the Glebefields team.
Wonderful care all round, could not be bettered. He had a much happier final few months. We made the right choice. The home made life far easier for us, and in particular, my sister not having to worry about him.
Many thanks for your kind words and comments, Alison and the Glebefields team.
Respite care for mother. The home was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very approachable and my mum had a lovely stay.
Caring, friendly staff giving the 'extra' time to socialise and reassure. Taking note of small things eg. checking the TV is on correct channel for a favourite programme. Clean bathroom and efficient laundry service. Regular rounds of hot drinks, snacks, etc.
I visit almost daily to help at lunch time, and am always made to feel welcome. There is a calm and friendly atmosphere in the dementia unit generally. All the staff including cleaners, carers, nurses and kitchen staff are friendly and polite. I feel the staff training sessions have improved the handling of patients care. Personally I have no complaints about staff and they are always willing to help if I ask. (Help for my husband to be moved into a wheelchair or to be taken to the toilet).

Meet the Team (15)

Hi, my name is Benazir, and I am the General Manager here at Glebefields Care Home.
I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring. My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and a discussion about our services.

Hello, my name is Jeni Abraham, and I joined the Barchester team in August 2025 as a Bank Nurse and was quickly promoted to my current clinical management role as Deputy Manager. I have felt incredibly supported since joining the organisation and our fantastic team.
With a rich nursing career that began in 2005, I am deeply passionate about my profession. I have an extensive clinical background that includes vital experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in fast-paced environments, such as the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units abroad. I also spent six years working in various care home settings within the Banbury area, which provides me with invaluable local experience.
In my personal life outside my role at Glebefields, I cherish spending quality time with my family and relaxing and joy in painting.

I’m Dinesh, the Home Administrator at Glebefields. My journey with Barchester began in July 2022 when I joined as an Admin Assistant, and I was proud to step into the Administrator role in May 2025.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Business and Management, completed in 2019, and a Postgraduate Diploma in People Management, achieved in 2021. This academic foundation has equipped me with strong skills in leadership, organisational strategy, and team development skills that I use every day to support the smooth running of our home.
My passion for the care sector comes from a deep belief in compassion, dignity, and respect at every stage of life. I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a meaningful difference, and working in care allows me to contribute to the well-being of residents while supporting the dedicated teams who look after them. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community where even the smallest action can brighten someone’s day.
As Home Administrator, I’m committed to creating a supportive, efficient, and welcoming environment. Ensuring that both residents and colleagues feel valued, empowered, and heard is at the heart of everything I do. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive impact—and I’m proud to be part of a sector that places humanity at its core.

Hi, I'm Nicola and have just recently joined Glebefields as the Admin Assistant, and I look forward to meeting and supporting all our residents, their families, healthcare professionals and suppliers who visit the home on a regular basis. I will be based at the main reception in our beautiful café. Please do pop in for a cup of coffee and cake and say hello.

Hi, I'm Simon. My role here at Glebefields is Head of Maintenance. I am extremely excited and proud to be supported and empowered to deliver a first-class service to all our residents, their families, visitors and our team.
Whilst part of my role is compliance and health and safety, I feel very passionate about supporting the life enrichment programme, to ensure everyone can build positive lasting memories. I take pride in everything I do within the maintenance department, ensuring that the home and gardens are safe, enjoyable and comfortable to be in.
During my spare time, I enjoy most sports, gardening and, of course, DIY! I'm proud to be part of the Glebefields team, where we all strive for excellence, for the benefit of everyone.

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I have recently joined the team at Glebefields as the gardener. Before transitioning into the care sector, I spent many years working as an electrical maintenance manager. In that role, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly was all part of my daily job.
I decided to move into care because I wanted to do something deeply meaningful. I wanted a role where I could make a real difference to people’s everyday lives. Being able to support our residents, work alongside a great team, and help create a safe, happy environment is incredibly rewarding to me.
Family is a massive part of my life. I have a son, twin daughters, and a grandson named Albie. Albie is completely convinced that his grandad can fix absolutely everything! I do my best to keep up that reputation, even if it sometimes requires a bit of duct tape and optimism.
When I am not at work, you will usually find me enjoying the golf course, watching football, or bird watching. I also love tackling various DIY projects around my own home. I always enjoy keeping busy, having a laugh, and I am always happy to lend a hand whether that means fixing something or just putting a smile on someone's face.

Hello, my name is Beena, and I'm one of the registered nurses working at Glebefields, providing continued quality care for our residents.
I joined Barchester in 2023, initially as bank staff, and was delighted to become a permanent Registered General Nurse (RGN) in May 2024. My passion is centred on building meaningful relationships with our residents and their families, ensuring every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care. I truly value Barchester's commitment to continuous training and its focus on fostering a supportive, safe working environment where great teamwork thrives.
My experience, which began in 2006 when I worked with elderly residents in the UK, has equipped me with the confidence to navigate challenging situations and reinforced my commitment to compassionate care.
When I am not working, I enjoy exploring and adventures through travel with my family and two children whenever we can.

Hello, I am the Head Chef here at Barchester Glebefields.
I gained my professional qualification over 25 years ago. I have enjoyed a varied career in the hospitality world, working alongside exceptional chefs across multiple cuisines, in 5* Hotels, classic restaurants and schools, etc.
It's a privilege to be part of the Glebefields family. I enjoy my work and am proud to provide a varied and nutritional experience for our residents, tailoring menus and cooking their favourite meals along with offering new culinary experiences to tempt their palettes.

Hello, my name is Fiona, and I share the role of resident ambassador with my friend and fellow resident, Joan. Having two resident ambassadors means all those living at Glebefields have a choice of who they would like to talk to.
On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.
Her love for children and their continued education shaped her life. Fiona is now an avid supporter of all the homes’ Intergenerational Activities and keeps herself young and updated on the latest trends with visits from her ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

I am proud to play an important part in the health and safety of the home and our resident's lives. I enjoy helping in many areas of the home, you will find me caring for residents and also accompanying them on trips. Variety in my work motivates me to learn and experience more each day, I thoroughly enjoy my work and being a part of the wonderful Glebefields team.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.
In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.

Hello, my name is Richard and I'm the Bank Second Chef here at Glebefields.
