Glebefields Care Home provides to its residents high-standard residential, nursing and respite care in an attractive location with far-reaching views of beautiful countryside. The home, a stone-built former rectory near the village of Banbury, fully refurbished in 2022 to luxury standards throughout, features standard and double bedrooms which are all en-suite. Although the home is in a rural setting, residents benefit from easy access to shops, restaurants and public transport links.

Staff are always on hand to support residents and are dedicated to continually enhance residents' quality of life. They go above and beyond to understand residents' needs and wishes to provide the best service possible. Each day is planned as per the choices of the residents and their interests and what they prefer to do on a daily basis.

Meals are cooked inhouse with great care to residents' dietary needs. The tasty menu is varied so residents can try something new every day.

One lady was very lovely and very attentive. There were many beautiful displays, and the staff were very welcoming. A very lovely care home with very friendly staff, who pay attention to detail and make the experience enjoyable.

My mum came to Glebefields Care Home for respite care in May 2022 after some months in the hospital following my dad's unexpected and sudden death. This is now her permanent home and I can't be grateful enough for the level of services and care she consistently receives. The staff do everything to make
her comfortable, respect her dignity, and engage her in activities, special thanks for posting photos of the art mum makes each week! It's a delight to come to Glebefields, set in beautiful countryside and with the quality of a boutique hotel since its refurbishment. The hospitality is excellent and how visitors are welcomed really impacts positively on mum's life. I'm so relieved to know she is held in such calm, loving hands and that she refers to everyone at Glebefields as her friends. Thank you!

My mother came to Glebefields Care Home straight from the hospital and was very poorly. She has only been there 2 weeks and has made an amazing improvement. The staff are very caring and she is settling in very nicely. Thank you to everyone at Glebefields for looking after her.

My mother stayed in Glebefields for three weeks for respite care. The staff and facilities were excellent. The food was of high quality, and staff were available to change the menu and times to suit my mother's dietary requirements and routines. Many of the residents are bed-bound, so there was limited
opportunity for interaction, but the activities manager tried hard to engage my mother with a diverse programme, including flower arranging, pottery, exercise and outdoor visits. There are less staff available at weekends, which made the administration of dropping off/picking up more difficult on these days, but visiting was not a problem.

My mother spent five days in respite care. She was warmly welcomed and given a modern, clean room. The staff and management were helpful and supportive prior to and during Mum's stay. Since this was her first time in a care home, we are really pleased that she was happy at all times.

I would like to send huge thanks to all the care home staff at Glebefields. My mother has been there since 26th July 2022, she is settling in well and they are looking after Mum with exceptional care and work very hard to make sure she is comfortable and meet all her nursing care needs. Only yesterday,
they went above and beyond to help us celebrate Mums 90th birthday, from a beautifully baked birthday cake, very tasty buffet for us all, the room was decorated beautifully, all of the staff here are so loving and caring and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Glebefields to anyone.

Glebefields kindly accommodated my father for respite care at short notice following a short stay in the hospital with Covid. The be fair, he has only been here five days so far, and this is only my second visit, but I feel very confident that my father is safe and very well cared for with kindness
and respect. The accommodation is of a luxury standard, and the atmosphere is calm. All the staff I have met have been really nice, calm and kind. Thank you.

Everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. From what I have seen, most of the staff are good with my mother showing patience and understanding. I am always greeted with a smile and politeness and offered refreshments. Mum is end-of-life, and all I want is for her to be made comfortable
and believe the staff understand this and accommodate her needs. The nursing staff are good at giving me updates on my mother's condition, which is greatly appreciated.

I moved in here in May 2022, and I have felt very welcome, secure, and above all, very happy. The staff are very obliging and helpful in every way they can. The staff are very kind because they treat you like family. The food is most enjoyable and tasty. The cleanliness of the home is first-class.

Immediately on entering the care home, I was struck by the family atmosphere. The level of attention to detail when organising and arranging my father's care needs is quite incredible, and I might add, a great comfort to me to know that my father is being so well cared for. I would further add that

First visit since the refurbishment and how lovely the home looks. Such a joy to be able to sit in a purpose-designed coffee area with my mum. The staff are able to come and chat and all seem so happy. The atmosphere is wonderful and mum is able to move around so freely with all the space available.

I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring.

My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and discussion about our services.

On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.

Hi, I'm Simon, my role here at Glebefields is Head of Maintenance. I am extremely excited and proud to be supported and empowered to deliver a first-class service to all our residents, their families, visitors and our team.


Whilst part of my role is compliance and health and safety, I feel very passionate about supporting the life enrichment programme, to ensure everyone can build positive lasting memories. I take pride in everything I do within the maintenance department, ensuring that the home and gardens are safe, enjoyable and comfortable to be in.


During my spare time I enjoy most sports, gardening and, of course, DIY! I'm proud to be part of the Glebefields team where we all strive for excellence, for the benefit of everyone.

Hi, my name is Snobia and I’m the 'Acting' Activities Lead for all things ‘Life Enrichment’ at Glebefields care home in Drayton, Banbury.


Having worked as a Care Assistant at Glebefields care home for many years, I've provided support to every department overtime and find the provision of life enrichment through activities, events and outings one of the most rewarding.


Being given the opportunity to fulfil our residents wishes, and enrich their everyday lives with activities and experiences that support their continued wellbeing is a privilege.


As an Activities Coordinator, my aim is to ensure all our resident guests continue to explore their independence, getting to know their lives prior to joining us and enabling them to remain fulfilled.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.


In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.
