My mother stayed in Glebefields for three weeks for respite care. The staff and facilities were excellent. The food was of high quality, and staff were available to change the menu and times to suit my mother's dietary requirements and routines. Many of the residents are bed-bound, so there was limited opportunity for interaction, but the activities manager tried hard to engage my mother with a diverse programme, including flower arranging, pottery, exercise and outdoor visits. There are less staff available at weekends, which made the administration of dropping off/picking up more difficult on these days, but visiting was not a problem.
Thank you, Beverley, for the kind feedback. We have taken the comments on board and will review the staffing levels over the weekends. It was a pleasure to look after mum during her stay with us.
Dad has felt at home since he came to Barchester Glebefields Care Home. He enjoys taking part in the activities. The staff are friendly, caring and professional and Dad's needs are respected. Dad enjoys living here and always seems happy.
Thank you for the kind feedback, staff will be motivated to deliver high standards of care to our residents.
My mother spent five days in respite care. She was warmly welcomed and given a modern, clean room. The staff and management were helpful and supportive prior to and during Mum's stay. Since this was her first time in a care home, we are really pleased that she was happy at all times.
Thank you for the kind feedback. We are obliged to know that mum enjoyed her stay with us, and the staff were able to develop a rapport very promptly with mum. You are more than welcome for a cup of tea and a cake any time.
I would like to send huge thanks to all the care home staff at Glebefields. My mother has been there since 26th July 2022, she is settling in well and they are looking after Mum with exceptional care and work very hard to make sure she is comfortable and meet all her nursing care needs. Only yesterday, they went above and beyond to help us celebrate Mums 90th birthday, from a beautifully baked birthday cake, very tasty buffet for us all, the room was decorated beautifully, all of the staff here are so loving and caring and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Glebefields to anyone.
Thank you for the kind review Patricia, we are working hard to continue delivering high standards of care to all our residents.
Glebefields kindly accommodated my father for respite care at short notice following a short stay in the hospital with Covid. The be fair, he has only been here five days so far, and this is only my second visit, but I feel very confident that my father is safe and very well cared for with kindness and respect. The accommodation is of a luxury standard, and the atmosphere is calm. All the staff I have met have been really nice, calm and kind. Thank you.
Thank you, Sandra, for the kind feedback. Staff at Glebefields enjoy working with Dad and have little laughter. We will definitely share the feedback with the team.
Everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. From what I have seen, most of the staff are good with my mother showing patience and understanding. I am always greeted with a smile and politeness and offered refreshments. Mum is end-of-life, and all I want is for her to be made comfortable and believe the staff understand this and accommodate her needs. The nursing staff are good at giving me updates on my mother's condition, which is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the feedback. Mum is very new to us, and we are in the process of knowing mum more. The care team strives to deliver high standards of care and has taken on board the feedback and will be shared with the team to ensure all expectations are met.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The location and rooms are excellent. Good service under difficult conditions.
Thank you for the feedback. We will work towards improving the identified aspects.
The staff here do an exceptional job; they are always so positive and cheerful, and they keep my nan engaged with all the activities the home does, which are really important for her well-being. I cannot speak highly enough about the home and the staff in particular. Thank you all for all you do.
Thank you for the feedback. The team at Glebefields strive to provide high standards of personalised care to our residents.
Not value for money. Staff don't communicate well.
Thank you for the feedback. We apologize that the care we provided could not reach your expectations. We will work hard to improve the areas identified and ensure the team embraces the changes made.
The staff are wonderful, efficient and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The home is clean and tidy. The rooms are relaxing, and there are activities if one wishes to participate.
Thank you, Caroline, for the lovely feedback. The team at Glebefields ensures that we deliver high-quality care to all our residents. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.
I moved in here in May 2022, and I have felt very welcome, secure, and above all, very happy. The staff are very obliging and helpful in every way they can. The staff are very kind because they treat you like family. The food is most enjoyable and tasty. The cleanliness of the home is first-class.
Thank you, Beryl; we are glad you have settled in very well and have made some new friends. Thank you for the kind feedback, and we will ensure that we deliver high standards of care as expected.
Immediately on entering the care home, I was struck by the family atmosphere. The level of attention to detail when organising and arranging my father's care needs is quite incredible, and I might add, a great comfort to me to know that my father is being so well cared for. I would further add that without expectation, I sincerely believe that every member of staff clearly trades in the currency of kindness.
Thank you, Andrew, for the feedback. Each member of staff is committed and motivated to deliver high standards of person-centred care. We are really happy to care for dad at Glebefields.
Their whole approach has been to enable. They are very sensitive in the way they support and take a flexible approach to the care, For example, has difficulty bending down and so they will bring what needs to their level to help the person to manage independently. They always respond to choices and decisions, treating them with great respect.
Thank you, Tony, for your feedback. The team at Glebefields strive to deliver high standards of person-centred care, and we believe that this could only be achieved by keeping a holistic approach. We are glad that we met your expectations of care for your loved one.
Refurb very good. The helpers are very friendly.
The team at Glebefields would like to thank you for your comments. We take great pride in what we do and never take for granted the privilege and trust we have been gifted to support and look after people in our care. Thank you for your appreciation.
Always treated kindly. The staff are most helpful having spent respite in here myself, I know how wonderful it is.
Thank you. It was a pleasure looking after you at Glebefields. We are glad that we could provide you with the much-needed relaxation.
The care and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and appearance of dad's room, everything about Glebefields has been first-rate! This now has the added bonus of the new refurbishment, giving the feel of a top-class hotel. The already splendid facilities are now quite magnificent!
Thank you for the feedback. We always take pride in taking care of our residents and meeting their expectations. We are focussed on delivering high standards of care. your feedback will definitely boost the morale of the team at Glebefields!
First visit since the refurbishment and how lovely the home looks. Such a joy to be able to sit in a purpose-designed coffee area with my mum. The staff are able to come and chat and all seem so happy. The atmosphere is wonderful and mum is able to move around so freely with all the space available.
Thank you Helen for the kind feedback. We are glad to know that you are pleased with the newly refurbished home. We strongly believe that happy people make a happy home and ours is made up of our happy residents, staff and family members!! The team is delighted to receive positive feedback and we work hard to deliver high standards of care!
First-time visiting after the refurbishment it's so classy, just lovely. The staff as always are lovely, friendly and helpful and so nice to be able to chat in the cafe with my friend and the staff.
Thank you, much appreciated the kind feedback. It was lovely to welcome you finally into the home rather than the visiting pod. The team thrives to provide care to high standards and the newly refurbished building is an added motivation to deliver the same.
I used to be a respite resident, I enjoyed my stay at Glebefields. A lovely atmosphere and the staff were aware of my care needs and treated me with dignity and respect. I enjoyed singing and chatting with other residents. I miss being here and would definitely recommend it to others.
Thank you, Johnathan, for the lovely feedback!! The team at Glebefields really enjoyed looking after you! We are committed to delivering high-quality care to our clients!
At all times care and understanding were exemplary even when dealing with difficult situations. Up to date information was given on a regular basis. Glebefields Care Home is highly recommended and didn't disappoint.

Meet the Team (15)

Hi, my name is Benazir, and I am the General Manager here at Glebefields Care Home.
I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring. My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. My door is always open, and I welcome you to visit for a coffee and a discussion about our services.

Hello, my name is Jeni Abraham, and I joined the Barchester team in August 2025 as a Bank Nurse and was quickly promoted to my current clinical management role as Deputy Manager. I have felt incredibly supported since joining the organisation and our fantastic team.
With a rich nursing career that began in 2005, I am deeply passionate about my profession. I have an extensive clinical background that includes vital experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in fast-paced environments, such as the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units abroad. I also spent six years working in various care home settings within the Banbury area, which provides me with invaluable local experience.
In my personal life outside my role at Glebefields, I cherish spending quality time with my family and relaxing and joy in painting.

I’m Dinesh, the Home Administrator at Glebefields. My journey with Barchester began in July 2022 when I joined as an Admin Assistant, and I was proud to step into the Administrator role in May 2025.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Business and Management, completed in 2019, and a Postgraduate Diploma in People Management, achieved in 2021. This academic foundation has equipped me with strong skills in leadership, organisational strategy, and team development skills that I use every day to support the smooth running of our home.
My passion for the care sector comes from a deep belief in compassion, dignity, and respect at every stage of life. I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a meaningful difference, and working in care allows me to contribute to the well-being of residents while supporting the dedicated teams who look after them. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community where even the smallest action can brighten someone’s day.
As Home Administrator, I’m committed to creating a supportive, efficient, and welcoming environment. Ensuring that both residents and colleagues feel valued, empowered, and heard is at the heart of everything I do. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive impact—and I’m proud to be part of a sector that places humanity at its core.

Hi, I'm Nicola and have just recently joined Glebefields as the Admin Assistant, and I look forward to meeting and supporting all our residents, their families, healthcare professionals and suppliers who visit the home on a regular basis. I will be based at the main reception in our beautiful café. Please do pop in for a cup of coffee and cake and say hello.

Hi, I'm Simon. My role here at Glebefields is Head of Maintenance. I am extremely excited and proud to be supported and empowered to deliver a first-class service to all our residents, their families, visitors and our team.
Whilst part of my role is compliance and health and safety, I feel very passionate about supporting the life enrichment programme, to ensure everyone can build positive lasting memories. I take pride in everything I do within the maintenance department, ensuring that the home and gardens are safe, enjoyable and comfortable to be in.
During my spare time, I enjoy most sports, gardening and, of course, DIY! I'm proud to be part of the Glebefields team, where we all strive for excellence, for the benefit of everyone.

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I have recently joined the team at Glebefields as the gardener. Before transitioning into the care sector, I spent many years working as an electrical maintenance manager. In that role, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly was all part of my daily job.
I decided to move into care because I wanted to do something deeply meaningful. I wanted a role where I could make a real difference to people’s everyday lives. Being able to support our residents, work alongside a great team, and help create a safe, happy environment is incredibly rewarding to me.
Family is a massive part of my life. I have a son, twin daughters, and a grandson named Albie. Albie is completely convinced that his grandad can fix absolutely everything! I do my best to keep up that reputation, even if it sometimes requires a bit of duct tape and optimism.
When I am not at work, you will usually find me enjoying the golf course, watching football, or bird watching. I also love tackling various DIY projects around my own home. I always enjoy keeping busy, having a laugh, and I am always happy to lend a hand whether that means fixing something or just putting a smile on someone's face.

Hello, my name is Beena, and I'm one of the registered nurses working at Glebefields, providing continued quality care for our residents.
I joined Barchester in 2023, initially as bank staff, and was delighted to become a permanent Registered General Nurse (RGN) in May 2024. My passion is centred on building meaningful relationships with our residents and their families, ensuring every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care. I truly value Barchester's commitment to continuous training and its focus on fostering a supportive, safe working environment where great teamwork thrives.
My experience, which began in 2006 when I worked with elderly residents in the UK, has equipped me with the confidence to navigate challenging situations and reinforced my commitment to compassionate care.
When I am not working, I enjoy exploring and adventures through travel with my family and two children whenever we can.

Hello, I am the Head Chef here at Barchester Glebefields.
I gained my professional qualification over 25 years ago. I have enjoyed a varied career in the hospitality world, working alongside exceptional chefs across multiple cuisines, in 5* Hotels, classic restaurants and schools, etc.
It's a privilege to be part of the Glebefields family. I enjoy my work and am proud to provide a varied and nutritional experience for our residents, tailoring menus and cooking their favourite meals along with offering new culinary experiences to tempt their palettes.

Hello, my name is Fiona, and I share the role of resident ambassador with my friend and fellow resident, Joan. Having two resident ambassadors means all those living at Glebefields have a choice of who they would like to talk to.
On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.
Her love for children and their continued education shaped her life. Fiona is now an avid supporter of all the homes’ Intergenerational Activities and keeps herself young and updated on the latest trends with visits from her ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

I enjoy helping in many areas of the home, you will find me caring for residents and also accompanying them on trips. Variety in my work motivates me to learn and experience more each day, I thoroughly enjoy my work and being a part of the wonderful Glebefields team.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.

I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.
