Glebefields Care Home provides to its residents high-standard residential, nursing and respite care in an attractive location with far-reaching views of beautiful countryside. The home, a stone-built former rectory near the village of Banbury, fully refurbished in 2022 to luxury standards throughout, features standard and double bedrooms which are all en-suite. Although the home is in a rural setting, residents benefit from easy access to shops, restaurants and public transport links.

Staff are always on hand to support residents and are dedicated to continually enhance residents' quality of life. They go above and beyond to understand residents' needs and wishes to provide the best service possible. Each day is planned as per the choices of the residents and their interests and what they prefer to do on a daily basis.

Meals are cooked inhouse with great care to residents' dietary needs. The tasty menu is varied so residents can try something new every day.

I used to be a respite resident, I enjoyed my stay at Glebefields. A lovely atmosphere and the staff were aware of my care needs and treated me with dignity and respect. I enjoyed singing and chatting with other residents. I miss being here and would definitely recommend it to others.

Mum moved to Glebefields from hospital, the transition was seamless. Her room is beautifully decorated and comfortable. All the facilities have undergone a full refurbishment making the place very welcoming.
The staff have been excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The manager runs a tight ship
so all risk assessments are completed and discussed with us. I feel so much happier that mum is receiving such excellent care.

Amazing care home, clean and tidy. I actually thought it was a five-star hotel, the staff were all very friendly, especially a young lady who helped me with my enquiry and was very professional. During my visit to the care home which is situated in a beautiful countryside location, the staff treated residents with dignity and their choices were respected. We could see residents being engaged in outdoor activities. The kitchen team was pleasant and very kindly offered us refreshments. It's
only a few weeks that my friend had been staying there and we could see the improvement in his health and well being. The home was very clean and well presented. The rooms are very spacious and have access to the garden outside. Overall the home had a very positive environment.

This care home does not deserve to still be open. Gone downhill so quickly within the matter of a year. I was seriously worried and concerned with how my grandma was treated and I honestly believe she would not still be with us if she was still there. They showed no respect or dignity and used her dementia
to their advantage, giving her no choices, shoving her in a room all day and feeding her food she doesn’t like because ‘she won't realise’. As a granddaughter, I even had a member of staff moaning about my grandma which was extremely upsetting and demonstrated their lack of care and respect. Seriously concerned about the residents still there. She has now improved massively since being away from Glebefield.

Would not recommend this home as we as a family had many issues regarding the management of the home. Our mother was not cared for as we would have expected. We have moved mum to another care home and can see the difference in her within a short time. High turnover and retention of staff and poor communication.

The level of care was not as we would have expected as a family. Since moving mum to a new care home, we can appreciate the level of care she is now receiving. Mum is now thriving at her new home. Glebefields has a high turnover of staff. Poor food choice and quality.

I started my professional journey as a Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse in India and worked across Middle East countries as a NICU nurse specialist before moving to England in 2019 and starting with Barchester in December 2020. I have extensive experience in clinical care, palliative care, practice development, nursing management and mentoring.

My role as General Manager is to lead the clinical team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care that exceeds regulatory standards. I believe strongly in collaborative care, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. On leaving school in East London at the age of 16, I started work in a local nursery school. Within 3 years, I’d qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent the following 50 years within this wonderful profession.


Her love for children and their continued education shaped her life. Fiona is now an avid supporter of all the homes’ Intergenerational Activities and keeps herself young and updated on the latest trends with visits from her ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Hi, my name is Snobia and I’m the 'Acting' Activities Lead for all things ‘Life Enrichment’ at Glebefields care home in Drayton, Banbury.


Having worked as a Care Assistant at Glebefields care home for many years, I've provided support to every department overtime and find the provision of life enrichment through activities, events and outings one of the most rewarding.


Being given the opportunity to fulfil our residents wishes, and enrich their everyday lives with activities and experiences that support their continued wellbeing is a privilege.


As an Activities Coordinator, my aim is to ensure all our resident guests continue to explore their independence, getting to know their lives prior to joining us and enabling them to remain fulfilled.

I joined the Glebefields family in 2023, having earned my master’s degree in electrical engineering from Coventry University. Despite my engineering background, I bring a fresh perspective to enriching the lives of our residents. I enjoy creating an environment where they can have fun, connect with others, and stay mind active. Hi, I am Siju, I have been part of the Glebefields family since 2020. I am experienced in care and have worked previously as a nurse in India. I am proud to play an important part in the health and safety of the home and our resident's lives. My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.


In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.
