Lifestyle-Activity Lead – Romford Care Centre
Full-time | Romford, Essex

Romford Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Lifestyle-Activity Lead to join the friendly team and play a key role in enhancing the lived experience of residents.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference, leading by example, and bringing energy and innovation to the home’s social and wellbeing programmes.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the home’s activity and lifestyle programme to ensure it is meaningful, engaging, and inclusive for all residents.

• Spend approximately 80% of their time delivering vibrant, stimulating activities across all units – including residential, dementia, and nursing communities.

• Motivate, inspire, and support colleagues to engage in activity-based care as part of a relationship-centred approach.

• Develop and oversee the home’s newsletter, highlighting events, resident stories, and achievements.

• Ensure all activity records and evaluations are accurate and up to date.

About You

• Experience planning, organising, and leading activity programmes or community events.

• Background in working with older people, including those living with dementia.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate others.

• Confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records.

• Positive, approachable, and self-motivated, with flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed.

A Level 3 NVQ or QCF in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
