I have to say, I experienced an excellent time, since my dad was omitted into this care home, friendly, attentive staff, nothing too much trouble, communication. First class, facilities top draw too. Couldn't have wished for a better resting place for my father, we as a family are very thankful he's
there.

Honestly all the staff from management, carers admin, reception are amazing!
My mum has been at the care home since June 2025 after being evicted from hospital. The support and understanding from every member of staff at Romford Care Home I cannot thank enough.
My mum is happy there the staff are lovely
treat all the residents with compassion, care and respect.Always smiling.
Cleanliness great spotless My mum has been getting home cooked Indian meals thanks to the kitchen staff.
The activities schedule is great I've joined in a few times.I can take my doggy to visit my mum as well.
After a constant battle with my local authority which caused upset and stress to my mum I am so grateful that my mum is cared for there.I saw many homes before as she was being evicted from hospital and believe me some of them were horrendous made me cry.
All staff thank you.Madie,Tracy,Dorota,Tara

I have visited Romford Care Home on numerous occasions and quietly observed staff go above and beyond for their residents wellbeing, which i found comforting and reassuring. A secure environment where residents feel safe (especially those with dementia). Engaging activities, good food and a warm clean
environment, and all input received openly. When and if I am in need, I hope I stay in an environment like Romford Care Home. Well done RCH, keep up the good work.

I came from România to see my brother who îs staying în The care home. I was very impressed and happy with the care home. The home waa very clean and did not smell. The staff are very helpful, caring and treat my brother as a human being. They look after him very well and show him compassion. Not Like

Mum is in for a short term respite stay. We were accommodated at quite short notice. Tracey, in particular, has been excellent from the very first phone call. We have greatly appreciated all her help and ongoing availability for any questions and advice. In fact all the staff have been very welcoming,
within an environment that is a very safe place to recover.

My mum has been living in romford care center, for just over a year. Mums needs are much more complex, than what shows at face value and the staff have been so helpful and attentive. Mum can be difficult and she is very scared of what her future looks like, and everyone shows patients and understanding.
Most places I visited, I felt that mum wouldn't feel like she was being stimulated, but here, it is very social, and they are encouraged to do something everyday. All staff that I am in contact with have been so helpful and supportive to us both.

My experience was its a very good care home. My dad seems happy there with all the singing and dancing that happens most days.
They have very nice and good singers there.
The staff and carers all seem kind people. The only problem is the price, but all care homes are expensive. Lucky my dad worked
hard all his life so he can just about afford it. Otherwise no complaints.

RNCC is a big family , the staff is kind and very helpful. From the very first day, we felt reassured by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. The team has gone above and beyond to ensure that our relative feels comfortable, safe, and respected. It's clear that the carers are not only well-trained
but genuinely compassionate - they treat residents like family.
The communication with families has also been excellent. We are always kept informed about any changes in health, daily routines, or medications. The staff are approachable and always willing to take time to answer questions or provide updates.
We've also been very impressed by the activities and social events provided. Our relative particularly enjoys the [e.g., music afternoons, art sessions, the singing and dancing which have brought back a sense of joy and purpose. The meals are nutritious and well-prepared, and the home itself is always clean, comfortable, and welcome

My mum has been in the home nearly a year. The home itself is very clean and bright and welcoming unlike some of the homes I visited prior to mum coming here. She has a lovely room and is very happy, she almost treats it like it is her little flat and has made it very homely with some of her personal
things. Now onto the staff, throughout the complex all staff are so lovely and caring and I as a daughter find it very endearing that they care for her as much as her family. In the summer the lift broke down with myself, my mum and sister and partner in, it was a very hot day and mum started to become unwell, when we were finally released, the care and concern for my mum was paramount, we was overwhelmed with the care and attention she got. With this home if you have a problem, they deal with it, if you have a concern, they deal with it. I cannot fault the home!

My husband went in for 2 weeks respite due to myself his wife needing a rest, my anxiety was very high about letting others take full care of his needs I shouldn't have lost sleep over this as he was treated with love care and dignity. Spacious clean home friendly staff. We as family and friends visiting
were also made very welcome. Plenty always going on activity's outings fun days in the sunshine garden party's the patients always singing dancing with many a smiling face a joy to see. I am currently in the process of handing full time care over to another care home but couldn't get funded for Romford Nursing Care Centre for which I'm sad about as I felt very comfortable around the patients and caring staff .

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.841)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.841) out of 10 for Romford Nursing Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 45 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.841 for Romford Nursing Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (451 Excellents x 5) + (72 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 529 Ratings = 4.841
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Romford Nursing Care Centre is based on 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 114 registered maximum number of service users is 22.8, which has been reached with 45 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I joined the Romford Care Home family in 2022 as a member of the Lifestyle Team. The part of my role that I am passionate about is supporting the residents and being instrumental in being able to provide meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities to all of residents.

I started working in the care sector at the age of 16 and was a Psychiatric Nurse for 8 years, I hold Stages 1 & 2 in British Sign Language which I enjoy using especially when I was working with young adults and children with learning disabilities. I have spent the last 6 years working within a childcare setting but felt it was time to come full circle and return to my true passion within residential care.

The best part of my daily routine is standing back and seeing the joy on the resident's faces and knowing that I have made a difference.

Job Title: Ancillary Manager Joined: 2010

I started working at Romford Care Home when the home first opened 11 years ago as a Domestic Assistant. After 4 years, the opportunity came up to go for the Ancillary Managers position. I previously studied Health and Social Care at College so this has been a great opportunity to extend my knowledge.

I currently manage a team of 10, which includes 8 Domestic staff and 2 Laundry staff.
The home has 114 rooms, so my day is always full on. I love the workflow of the job and also the teamwork side where we all pull together to make sure the residents are well cared for.

Another element of my role is being able to support other departments, I often try to get involved with our Lifestyle Team and their events.
The most rewarding part of my job is listening to the resident’s stories and getting to know them all and their families.
