My father has been a resident now for over a year. From the time of my first meeting with the manager, I felt at ease knowing that he would be well cared for. I cannot recommend this care home enough, the carers and staff are outstanding and the attention to detail for each resident is to be acknowledged and applauded. The staff and carers always put the residents first, beyond anything else. This home is the resident's home and whenever you visit, you receive a warm welcome and are treated as part of the family.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Romford Care Home if you wish your loved one to be treated with the utmost care and respect they deserve. Also giving you the peace of mind they are happy and safe.

Thank you all at Romford Care Home for your professionalism and care shown to my father.

My husband has been a resident in Romford Care Home for almost three years.
My family and I have always been very happy with his care.
My husband's Alzheimer's is deteriorating quite rapidly recently, but we're happy knowing he is well cared for, well fed and clean, as is the home too.
My husband's behaviour can be challenging at times, but he's always treated with patience and respect. The carers are wonderful, very caring. Always available to talk to us. We couldn't wish for better.
The activity programme is excellent, although my husband doesn't wish to participate very often.
There is always something going on at the home for residents and relatives to enjoy.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this place of care for loved ones.

I would recommend Romford Care Home to anyone. When we needed somewhere for both my parents to go they were the only home prepared to let them stay together. They moved an extra bed into the room so they could stay close to each other. When Mum passed. Dad stayed as he has dementia. He is very happy. The staff are amazing they spend time talking to, as well as caring for him. There are so many activities arranged for the residents it’s like one big family.

We have had my mum-in-law there since April due to the decline in her dementia (and it no longer being safe for her to live at home with us). We had visited a number of facilities in the area but ultimately felt the most comfortable with her being here. We have been very happy with the quality of her care and never have to worry as we know she is in the best hands.
We know she is not always the easiest to deal with (due to dementia/behavioural changes), but the carers always treat her well and treat her with respect. They even manage to find a sense of humour when she is being naughty- this is not always easy to do.
She is now starting to settle in and enjoying the many activities held daily. They really went out of their way to make her feel special on her birthday, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also always mentions how much she enjoys the food (which is saying a lot since she was a very picky and difficult eater at home).

I am running out of room, but thank you, Romford Care Home!

Our mum has been a resident at the care home for two years. I have seen a steady decline in her during this period and more so over the past six months. As she is 98 years of age, I can understand that this is an unfortunate part of life. The staff at the care home have always been available to answer any questions that I’ve asked regarding Mum’s health and well-being. Mum is bedridden at this moment in time and more often than not, she is asleep when we visit. Because of this current situation, the care staff have to feed Mum, which I appreciate the time that is spent doing this for her. Mum has always seemed happy and settled in the care home, which I must commend on the cleanliness throughout, the friendliness of management and staff alike and the quality of the food.

All staff are very friendly. The nursing and care staff are approachable and respectful of residents' caring needs. There are obvious issues in catering at the moment but everyone is doing there best to continue the provision of good quality food, although the delays in delivering the food sometimes affects its heat.

My 91 year old aunt has been at the Romford Care Home for the last fifteen months. I would recommend the Romford Care Home for a number of reasons. Firstly, the care that residents receive is second to none. My aunt has been in a couple of homes for respite care in the past and they do not come close. The meals, staff and facilities are really excellent, as is the cleanliness. We visit very regularly and never once has there been any type of red flag for us to worry about. The management team and all of their well chosen staff are so approachable and caring - it is a very nice atmosphere. Thank you everyone at Romford Care Home.

Mum has spent over seven weeks in Romford Care Home. Mum was so well looked after, I cannot fault management or staff, everyone was so caring. My mother was very well-fed, all aspects of personal hygiene met and she was very safe and happy.

Mum has been a resident of Romford Care Home since March 2023. When she first moved in she was bedbound and not eating but with the care and patience of the lovely staff she can now walk, with assistance, and is eating a variety of foods. Myself and my family are always made welcome and I feel that I have made many friends at the home, both staff and other residents. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for residential care for a loved one.

My brother has been a resident at Romford Care Home for about seven months now. I am very grateful for the care he receives here. My mum is 100 years old, she is both almost deaf and blind. In our visits we have observed the care she has been given and we are happy with our observations. There are odd times when staff shortages cause minor concerns but overall the care is good.

First-class service. My brother was in a bad state of health, he had ongoing health and care problems. But, within weeks he was back to how we know him, all due to your expert care and attention to details and his needs. One carer was a real asset to your care home. From the first time I met her and on every visit she was so helpful, with a smile on her face. She even stayed and help me with my brother long after she should have finished work. Brilliant. When she was not there, the other woman was just as good. Please keep up the good work.

We did our research and selected Romford Care Home for Mum, following a severe stroke requiring her to have constant medical care. Mum spent five months in their care before she died. I would absolutely recommend Romford Care Home and the staff to anyone looking for an establishment to care for a loved one. All the staff, from the managers, nurses, carers and support staff, showed a level of care and respect for those in their care, which in today’s world was well above what I had anticipated. The carers went above and beyond to make sure Mum was comfortable and in Mum’s last few days, she was not left alone and was treated with a level of dignity that simply would not be available in a hospital setting. I cannot recommend the staff highly enough.

I attended the coronation celebration at Romford Care Home from 1-4 pm. The staff were obliging, welcoming, happy and cheerful. The residents were relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. They reacted and socialised to the very best if their abilities with all the staff. The singer who performed from 2-4 pm was warmly welcomed and very enjoyed by all. The staff interacted with the residents and got everyone singing, dancing and engaged. The staff were very encouraging and were outstanding. A lovely afternoon, well done everyone.

We have been pleased with the home in general, but we are not pleased with the washing, we are aware of the directives in place but no sooner we replace our aunt's clothes, they are ruined, with high-temperature washing, no, modern clothes should be washed at over 20 c 30 c or even 40 c we pay a great deal of money for her care and feel that paying out for new clothes each month, in addition to hair shampoo, shower gel, tissues, deodorant, toothpaste, hairdressers, hand and feet care which all adds up to her care costs.

Since she has been at your home we have replaced five pairs of trousers, two hundred pairs of knickers, ten tops and several jumpers her last two only lasted three weeks, each time we come to visit her clothes are just thrown in the drawers or wardrobe when we have brought hangers in for clothes to be hung up. But we know her care has been good as she is happy and looking well.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Laundry can be very challenging especially in such a large home. We will take this on board and discuss with the team how we can improve on these issues, and also address the need to potentially revisit training with regards how clothing should be presented in a room. I am be happy to discuss further how we can make suitable improvements anytime.
