Having spent many hours with my husband, who has been here for five months, I am certain that he is in good hands, even though staffing levels could sometimes be improved, which would greatly reduce the work-load of these dedicated people.

Madalina began her journey in healthcare by training as a Registered Nurse in 2012. She entered the healthcare sector in 2015 as a Registered General Nurse, steadily progressing through leadership roles to become a senior manager. With a unique blend of hands-on nursing experience and managerial expertise, she brings a deep understanding of both clinical excellence and the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.
For Madalina, the most rewarding aspect of her role is the opportunity to make a positive change in residents’ well-being. She is passionate about delivering a holistic approach to care, ensuring that every resident receives not only high-quality clinical support but also the emotional and social engagement they deserve.
She believes Romford Care Home is special because of its whole-team approach to individual care. "We take great pride in providing wonderful care to all our residents. It’s a positive environment where we are all one big family, working together to offer the very best support."
With a strong commitment to excellence, a warm leadership style, a dedication to providing the highest standard of care and creating a nurturing home for residents and staff alike, Madalina is excited to lead Romford Care Home into its next chapter.
My role as RCH Care Homes Business Development Manager in the South is to support residents and families who are looking at moving in to a care environment.
I feel very strongly about being able to offer the best advice and guidance about the facilities and services within our homes.
No two journeys are the same and I pride myself on building a relationship with each prospective resident and their family. I feel privileged to be part of their journey and to have the opportunity to continue to support them throughout.
Every day is different, but I go home with a sense of pride that I have made a difference to the lives of our residents and their families
I live within a short distance of our homes with my husband and young son, which gives my strong links to our local communities.
I joined the Romford Care Home family in 2022 as a member of the Lifestyle Team. The part of my role that I am passionate about is supporting the residents and being instrumental in being able to provide meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities to all of residents.
I started working in the care sector at the age of 16 and was a Psychiatric Nurse for 8 years, I hold Stages 1 & 2 in British Sign Language which I enjoy using especially when I was working with young adults and children with learning disabilities. I have spent the last 6 years working within a childcare setting but felt it was time to come full circle and return to my true passion within residential care.
The best part of my daily routine is standing back and seeing the joy on the resident's faces and knowing that I have made a difference.
I started working at Romford Care Home when the home first opened 11 years ago as a Domestic Assistant. After 4 years, the opportunity came up to go for the Ancillary Managers position. I previously studied Health and Social Care at College so this has been a great opportunity to extend my knowledge.
I currently manage a team of 10, which includes 8 Domestic staff and 2 Laundry staff.
The home has 114 rooms, so my day is always full on. I love the workflow of the job and also the teamwork side where we all pull together to make sure the residents are well cared for.
Another element of my role is being able to support other departments, I often try to get involved with our Lifestyle Team and their events.
The most rewarding part of my job is listening to the resident’s stories and getting to know them all and their families.
