Although the home appears to be short-staffed, the staff are all so friendly, compassionate and caring. The varied menu always looks very appetising with good-sized portions. We have no concerns about Mum being looked after and cared for there.

I am very pleased with how quickly my aunt has settled in and adopted her new home. I appreciate the regular posts on the social media site where the family and I can see my aunt's participation in activities. Moving my aunt into a care home was a big decision but it is reassuring to know she is being well cared for 24/7. Now I can visit when I choose without the anxieties involved with being her main carer.

The care home is clean and comfortable. The external garden area needs attention. I haven't seen any garden maintenance since I have been going there. The staff are friendly. Mum seems to enjoy the food. Mum needs mental stimulation and I sometimes feel that she isn't encouraged to join in the social activities. They give her a list of activities, but as she has dementia she misses them. I would like someone to go in to get her. Overall, we are pleased with the care home and the staff are nice. Thank you.

My mother moved to Romford Care Home in February of 2022. The management team were very helpful, friendly and efficient from the point of enquiry to the day of Mum moving in. The home itself is furnished and decorated lovely. All of the team at Romford Care Home work hard, are caring and got to know Mum very quickly. Any concerns or enquiries I've had the management have responded swiftly to ease those concerns. It's really important to mention the lifestyle coordinators - this is where our loved ones get their new social life - without these ladies, their life would be very different - meaningful activity is so important. So a nice comfortable home, good care, good food homemade and social calendar - there's nothing more to ask for is there.

Thank you for your kind words, it's been a pleasure getting to know Mum and the family. Mum has very much enjoyed the time in the garden looking after 'Her' flowers and vegetable patch.

I have been impressed by the friendliness of all the staff I've met - both before and since my dad moved to the home 3 months ago. They have worked hard to make him feel welcome. He is offered the chance to participate in activities if he wishes and we have appreciated everything that has been put in place so far to give him individualised care and attention. The home gave him a lovely birthday recently which he and we really appreciated. The lifestyle coordinator provides daily posts on social media about what all the residents have been doing, together with photos and sometimes video clips. These help our family who live away from the area, to still feel connected to dad. I have been grateful that the staff have been willing to engage with any queries, questions or requests I have regarding my dad's care. The home environment is kept clean and tidy and my dad's room is spacious and in good repair. The staff work very hard to support my dad.

My dad has regained a lot of his confidence which was needed. The care home did not seem to know that the idea of coming to the home was to get help for him using his bag. Once the social worker came things improved and his confidence improved. He was very down before this and was saying he was suicidal. Communication between social workers, the hospital, and the care home could have been better.

I just want to say how happy I am with my husband's care he has only been in nearly a couple of months. He is well dressed and kept clean, the room is lovely and kept clean. The staff really care about him but also includes myself, my daughter, my husband, and our grandchildren. The food is lovely and a weight has been lifted off our shoulders as we know he is safe and cared for, what a blessing that is for my family. I totally agree with all the steps for this Covid and we 100% per cent support the home. The Romford Care Centre in Neave Crescent came at the right time for us as a family, and my husband was always up the Manor from a little boy to a couple of months ago. The unit he is on is called the Manor Room 101 which we as a family know it was meant to be so we thank you all.

I came to visit my friend today for the first time. The outside looked very clean, the staff were very helpful when I came in and I noticed how clean and tidy the whole place was. The rooms and day rooms were clean and very well looked after. I noticed the activity list for the week was all around the home. I would rate the staff and home 100%. It would be a place I would choose for myself.

I found the staff very caring and kind, unfortunately, I don't think there are enough of them. I was told they are short-staffed. Also, it does smell a little of urine when walking in the corridor.
