Prior to my father entering Romford Care Home, we reviewed several before making our choice, and we have been delighted with the way in which Romford Nursing Care Centre delivers on its promises. The level of patient care and attention is excellent, all of the staff go out of their way to help the residents,
and the facilities overall are really good.

My mum has been in almost a year and I cannot fault her care and the kindness of the staff. She has dementia and can be difficult at times by not eating and showering but they have done their best to help her. Also, the cleanliness of the home is excellent. Plus the entertainment they do. The food always
looks good too. I can give 10 out of 10 for everything. Thank you.

Mum has been here since May, the staff is always very helpful and helps Mum if needed. Rooms are always clean and tidy maintenance man is lovely, any job small or big, it is done. Mum has settled in lovely. Thank you to the staff for all the effort.

Since Mum has resided at Romford Care Home she has received the utmost of care. Every single staff member has all the residents well being at the forefront. Mum has settled in. She seems happy and content and has made herself at home there. The staff also make relatives and all visitors welcome.

My father recently moved into Romford Care Home, and so far, we are extremely happy overall. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and cleaned to a high standard. The care staff have looked after my father well and seen to all his care needs. The community nurse has been especially attentive and kept
a special eye on my father's diabetes/sugar levels and acted swiftly when needed. I couldn't wish for him to be in a better care home.

The home and staff are wonderful. My wife has dementia and the staff are very patient with her. The home is spacious with lovely bedrooms which are bright and airy. Main thing for us is safety. My wife's dementia led to her wandering whilst being cared for at home. The care home gives us the peace of
mind that she can walk in a secure place. Only minor criticism is chef has left, so there is a current dip in quality and timing of meals, which I'm assured the care home are aware of and will sort.

My mother has been in Romford Care Home for 7 years with severe dementia. She always looks clean, neat and well-cared for whenever I visit. She has now reached 100 years old and this should reflect the amazing care and attention she is receiving. I would certainly recommend dementia patients consider

The manager we spoke to initially explained everything at what has been an extremely difficult time which we are very grateful for. The staff were very helpful and quickly arranged for my relative to enter the care home from the hospital. They have tried their best to make her feel welcome and at ease

My mother-in-law moved into Romford Care Home in December due to dementia progressing. As a family, we knew it was the right decision but were concerned that she would be unhappy, but she settled in very quickly. I think this was due to the friendly and homely environment from other residents and staff,
and the modern design, and decorations/furniture. Nothing is ever perfect, and we have had some issues with laundry going missing, but overall we are very happy. I must also say that social services have been excellent.

I have found the staff to be friendly and approachable, much needed in these difficult times, and mindful of the needs of my father, who is fast approaching 98 years old.
My dad's room and communal areas are all clean and comfortable.
When I've been at the centre during lunch etc the food is hot,
of good quality and plentiful.

My Dad has been in Romford Care Centre since July 2023 - he really has begun to feel at home and the care he receives has been amazing. The caregivers really do go out of their way to meet his expectations and make him feel at ease with the change in his health and being unable to care for himself at
times. When his health declines occasionally due to his condition, the caregivers and nurses are always quick to identify his issue and raise the appropriate assistance to help him. Having cared for my Dad on my own for the last 3 years, I know he's not the easiest at times and they take it in their stride and his grumbles do not sway anyone from giving him the best of care.
I personally feel like family, and when I've found times have been tough for me and my own mental health has been wavering, I've been wrapped up in their arms and comforted and reassured.
I cannot recommend Romford Care Centre any more.

My sister in law has been in the Romford Care Home for a few weeks now, and is settling in well.
She is in for respite care, but is considering to stay on permanently in the future.
The staff have all been very helpful and understanding l, this is a new venture for us all, so are feeling our way.
They
have answered all her needs and questions so far.
She has not told us of any major issues, just settling in questions and problems, which were addressed.
We are happy with her care, as she is, so would recommend the home.

My wife has been at Romford Care Home for over a year now, receiving 24 hour care.
Over that year, her care has been exemplary; both the day and night staff are excellent, and having a regular staff base that is familiar with my wife's needs (and foibles) is priceless.
Would I recommend the care home?
Without a shadow of a doubt. The residents are always the top priority and treated as you would a family member.

We would especially like to thank the customer relations manager for making the transition from home to home so smooth. She was so efficient, kind and supportive in the helping of everything to accommodate our stepdad into the home, which I can say was not easy on the day. She and the staff were exemplary.
From the moment me and my sister met with her, we felt confident and comfortable in all she was doing for us, which goes a long way these days. She and the team on the day were brilliant and so patient and kind with us so a massive thank you for that from us both. Keep doing what you’re doing, and don’t leave!

My father has been a resident now for over a year. From the time of my first meeting with the manager, I felt at ease knowing that he would be well cared for. I cannot recommend this care home enough, the carers and staff are outstanding and the attention to detail for each resident is to be acknowledged
and applauded. The staff and carers always put the residents first, beyond anything else. This home is the resident's home and whenever you visit, you receive a warm welcome and are treated as part of the family.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Romford Care Home if you wish your loved one to be treated with the utmost care and respect they deserve. Also giving you the peace of mind they are happy and safe.

My husband has been a resident in Romford Care Home for almost three years.
My family and I have always been very happy with his care.
My husband's Alzheimer's is deteriorating quite rapidly recently, but we're happy knowing he is well cared for, well fed and clean, as is the home too.
My husband's
behaviour can be challenging at times, but he's always treated with patience and respect. The carers are wonderful, very caring. Always available to talk to us. We couldn't wish for better.
The activity programme is excellent, although my husband doesn't wish to participate very often.
There is always something going on at the home for residents and relatives to enjoy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this place of care for loved ones.

I would recommend Romford Care Home to anyone. When we needed somewhere for both my parents to go they were the only home prepared to let them stay together. They moved an extra bed into the room so they could stay close to each other. When Mum passed. Dad stayed as he has dementia. He is very happy.
The staff are amazing they spend time talking to, as well as caring for him. There are so many activities arranged for the residents it’s like one big family.

Our bright and homely rooms are beautifully decorated with bespoke furnishings which can be further personalised with your own valued keepsakes.The home and all of our bedrooms are accessible for individual mobility needs.’

Madalina Ilie

Job Title: General Manager

Madalina began her journey in healthcare by training as a Registered Nurse in 2012. She entered the healthcare sector in 2015 as a Registered General Nurse, steadily progressing through leadership roles to become a senior manager. With a unique blend of hands-on nursing experience and managerial expertise, she brings a deep understanding of both clinical excellence and the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.
For Madalina, the most rewarding aspect of her role is the opportunity to make a positive change in residents’ well-being. She is passionate about delivering a holistic approach to care, ensuring that every resident receives not only high-quality clinical support but also the emotional and social engagement they deserve.

Job Title: Business Development Manager – South Joined: 2020

My role as RCH Care Homes Business Development Manager in the South is to support residents and families who are looking at moving in to a care environment.


I feel very strongly about being able to offer the best advice and guidance about the facilities and services within our homes.


No two journeys are the same and I pride myself on building a relationship with each prospective resident and their family. I feel privileged to be part of their journey and to have the opportunity to continue to support them throughout.


Every day is different, but I go home with a sense of pride that I have made a difference to the lives of our residents and their families


I live within a short distance of our homes with my husband and young son, which gives my strong links to our local communities.

Hayley Sullivan

Job Title: Lifestyle Co-ordinator Joined: 2020

I joined the Romford Care Home family in 2022 as a member of the Lifestyle Team. The part of my role that I am passionate about is supporting the residents and being instrumental in being able to provide meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities to all of residents.


I started working in the care sector at the age of 16 and was a Psychiatric Nurse for 8 years, I hold Stages 1 & 2 in British Sign Language which I enjoy using especially when I was working with young adults and children with learning disabilities. I have spent the last 6 years working within a childcare setting but felt it was time to come full circle and return to my true passion within residential care.


The best part of my daily routine is standing back and seeing the joy on the resident's faces and knowing that I have made a difference.

Jade Broderick

Job Title: Ancillary Manager Joined: 2010

I started working at Romford Care Home when the home first opened 11 years ago as a Domestic Assistant. After 4 years, the opportunity came up to go for the Ancillary Managers position. I previously studied Health and Social Care at College so this has been a great opportunity to extend my knowledge.


I currently manage a team of 10, which includes 8 Domestic staff and 2 Laundry staff.
The home has 114 rooms, so my day is always full on. I love the workflow of the job and also the teamwork side where we all pull together to make sure the residents are well cared for.


Another element of my role is being able to support other departments, I often try to get involved with our Lifestyle Team and their events.
The most rewarding part of my job is listening to the resident’s stories and getting to know them all and their families.
