I would like to thank Romford Care Home for all the help and kindness they have provided my stepmother will her well-being and dementia. She is a permanent resident and has been for over 12 months. The staff are amazing and I’m so grateful she is well cared for.

We have had my mum-in-law there since April due to the decline in her dementia (and it no longer being safe for her to live at home with us). We had visited a number of facilities in the area but ultimately felt the most comfortable with her being here. We have been very happy with the quality of her
care and never have to worry as we know she is in the best hands.
We know she is not always the easiest to deal with (due to dementia/behavioural changes), but the carers always treat her well and treat her with respect. They even manage to find a sense of humour when she is being naughty- this is not always easy to do.
She is now starting to settle in and enjoying the many activities held daily. They really went out of their way to make her feel special on her birthday, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also always mentions how much she enjoys the food (which is saying a lot since she was a very picky and difficult eater at home).
I am running out of room, but thank you, Romford Care Home!

Our mum has been a resident at the care home for two years. I have seen a steady decline in her during this period and more so over the past six months. As she is 98 years of age, I can understand that this is an unfortunate part of life. The staff at the care home have always been available to answer
any questions that I’ve asked regarding Mum’s health and well-being. Mum is bedridden at this moment in time and more often than not, she is asleep when we visit. Because of this current situation, the care staff have to feed Mum, which I appreciate the time that is spent doing this for her. Mum has always seemed happy and settled in the care home, which I must commend on the cleanliness throughout, the friendliness of management and staff alike and the quality of the food.

All staff are very friendly. The nursing and care staff are approachable and respectful of residents' caring needs. There are obvious issues in catering at the moment but everyone is doing there best to continue the provision of good quality food, although the delays in delivering the food sometimes
affects its heat.

My 91 year old aunt has been at the Romford Care Home for the last fifteen months. I would recommend the Romford Care Home for a number of reasons. Firstly, the care that residents receive is second to none. My aunt has been in a couple of homes for respite care in the past and they do not come close.
The meals, staff and facilities are really excellent, as is the cleanliness. We visit very regularly and never once has there been any type of red flag for us to worry about. The management team and all of their well chosen staff are so approachable and caring - it is a very nice atmosphere. Thank you everyone at Romford Care Home.

My mother is very well cared for the staff are very understanding of my mother's needs. Always respect her and listen to her when she talks. The care home is always very clean and welcoming also the staff always listen to me when I ask about my mother. I feel relaxed knowing my mother is in safe hands

Mum has spent over seven weeks in Romford Care Home. Mum was so well looked after, I cannot fault management or staff, everyone was so caring. My mother was very well-fed, all aspects of personal hygiene met and she was very safe and happy.

Mum has been a resident of Romford Care Home since March 2023. When she first moved in she was bedbound and not eating but with the care and patience of the lovely staff she can now walk, with assistance, and is eating a variety of foods. Myself and my family are always made welcome and I feel that

My brother has been a resident at Romford Care Home for about seven months now. I am very grateful for the care he receives here. The staff are kind, caring and friendly and take care of all his needs. My brother is not the easiest of people to care for, but despite this he is well cared for. I would

My mum is 100 years old, she is both almost deaf and blind. In our visits we have observed the care she has been given and we are happy with our observations. There are odd times when staff shortages cause minor concerns but overall the care is good.

My uncle moved in from the hospital. He was a bit apprehensive at first but settled in well. Staff are very nice and caring - anything arising they sort out quickly. Happ environment, good food and enjoys the company of all.

First-class service. My brother was in a bad state of health, he had ongoing health and care problems. But, within weeks he was back to how we know him, all due to your expert care and attention to details and his needs. One carer was a real asset to your care home. From the first time I met her and
on every visit she was so helpful, with a smile on her face. She even stayed and help me with my brother long after she should have finished work. Brilliant. When she was not there, the other woman was just as good. Please keep up the good work.

We did our research and selected Romford Care Home for Mum, following a severe stroke requiring her to have constant medical care. Mum spent five months in their care before she died. I would absolutely recommend Romford Care Home and the staff to anyone looking for an establishment to care for a loved
one. All the staff, from the managers, nurses, carers and support staff, showed a level of care and respect for those in their care, which in today’s world was well above what I had anticipated. The carers went above and beyond to make sure Mum was comfortable and in Mum’s last few days, she was not left alone and was treated with a level of dignity that simply would not be available in a hospital setting. I cannot recommend the staff highly enough.

I attended the coronation celebration at Romford Care Home from 1-4 pm. The staff were obliging, welcoming, happy and cheerful. The residents were relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. They reacted and socialised to the very best if their abilities with all the staff. The singer who performed
from 2-4 pm was warmly welcomed and very enjoyed by all. The staff interacted with the residents and got everyone singing, dancing and engaged. The staff were very encouraging and were outstanding. A lovely afternoon, well done everyone.

We have been pleased with the home in general, but we are not pleased with the washing, we are aware of the directives in place but no sooner we replace our aunt's clothes, they are ruined, with high-temperature washing, no, modern clothes should be washed at over 20 c 30 c or even 40 c we pay a great
deal of money for her care and feel that paying out for new clothes each month, in addition to hair shampoo, shower gel, tissues, deodorant, toothpaste, hairdressers, hand and feet care which all adds up to her care costs.
Since she has been at your home we have replaced five pairs of trousers, two hundred pairs of knickers, ten tops and several jumpers her last two only lasted three weeks, each time we come to visit her clothes are just thrown in the drawers or wardrobe when we have brought hangers in for clothes to be hung up. But we know her care has been good as she is happy and looking well.

Although the home appears to be short-staffed, the staff are all so friendly, compassionate and caring. The varied menu always looks very appetising with good-sized portions. We have no concerns about Mum being looked after and cared for there.

I am very pleased with how quickly my aunt has settled in and adopted her new home. I appreciate the regular posts on the social media site where the family and I can see my aunt's participation in activities. Moving my aunt into a care home was a big decision but it is reassuring to know she is being

The care home is clean and comfortable. The external garden area needs attention. I haven't seen any garden maintenance since I have been going there. The staff are friendly. Mum seems to enjoy the food. Mum needs mental stimulation and I sometimes feel that she isn't encouraged to join in the social
activities. They give her a list of activities, but as she has dementia she misses them. I would like someone to go in to get her. Overall, we are pleased with the care home and the staff are nice. Thank you.

Job Title: General Manager

Madalina began her journey in healthcare by training as a Registered Nurse in 2012. She entered the healthcare sector in 2015 as a Registered General Nurse, steadily progressing through leadership roles to become a senior manager. With a unique blend of hands-on nursing experience and managerial expertise, she brings a deep understanding of both clinical excellence and the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.
For Madalina, the most rewarding aspect of her role is the opportunity to make a positive change in residents’ well-being. She is passionate about delivering a holistic approach to care, ensuring that every resident receives not only high-quality clinical support but also the emotional and social engagement they deserve.

Job Title: Business Development Manager – South Joined: 2020

My role as RCH Care Homes Business Development Manager in the South is to support residents and families who are looking at moving in to a care environment.


I feel very strongly about being able to offer the best advice and guidance about the facilities and services within our homes.


No two journeys are the same and I pride myself on building a relationship with each prospective resident and their family. I feel privileged to be part of their journey and to have the opportunity to continue to support them throughout.


Every day is different, but I go home with a sense of pride that I have made a difference to the lives of our residents and their families


I live within a short distance of our homes with my husband and young son, which gives my strong links to our local communities.

Hayley Sullivan

Job Title: Lifestyle Co-ordinator Joined: 2020

I joined the Romford Care Home family in 2022 as a member of the Lifestyle Team. The part of my role that I am passionate about is supporting the residents and being instrumental in being able to provide meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities to all of residents.


I started working in the care sector at the age of 16 and was a Psychiatric Nurse for 8 years, I hold Stages 1 & 2 in British Sign Language which I enjoy using especially when I was working with young adults and children with learning disabilities. I have spent the last 6 years working within a childcare setting but felt it was time to come full circle and return to my true passion within residential care.


The best part of my daily routine is standing back and seeing the joy on the resident's faces and knowing that I have made a difference.

Jade Broderick

Job Title: Ancillary Manager Joined: 2010

I started working at Romford Care Home when the home first opened 11 years ago as a Domestic Assistant. After 4 years, the opportunity came up to go for the Ancillary Managers position. I previously studied Health and Social Care at College so this has been a great opportunity to extend my knowledge.


I currently manage a team of 10, which includes 8 Domestic staff and 2 Laundry staff.
The home has 114 rooms, so my day is always full on. I love the workflow of the job and also the teamwork side where we all pull together to make sure the residents are well cared for.


Another element of my role is being able to support other departments, I often try to get involved with our Lifestyle Team and their events.
The most rewarding part of my job is listening to the resident’s stories and getting to know them all and their families.
