My mum is in Romford Care Home and I have to say she is well looked after. I feel happy about her being there and most importantly she likes it there. The staff are great and it's very welcoming when you walk through the door. I would recommend this care home to anyone who is having to choose a care home for a loved one.

I have always been treated with respect. If I had any worries about my brother I would always be listened to and worries about my brother would be dealt with. The staff and management are very friendly they always say hello and always tell me how my brother has been. They answer any questions I ask about my brother, overall it is quite a nice home. The activities are very good and the ladies who organise the activities are excellent.

Since my sister has been in the home, she has received the up most care and attention. She has dementia and can be very awkward at times, I find the staff very caring. I have medical problems myself and find it very hard to visit, but staff keep me informed all the time, I know my sister is safe and cared for.

Prior to my father entering Romford Care Home, we reviewed several before making our choice, and we have been delighted with the way in which Romford Nursing Care Centre delivers on its promises. The level of patient care and attention is excellent, all of the staff go out of their way to help the residents, and the facilities overall are really good.

My mum has been in almost a year and I cannot fault her care and the kindness of the staff. She has dementia and can be difficult at times by not eating and showering but they have done their best to help her. Also, the cleanliness of the home is excellent. Plus the entertainment they do. The food always looks good too. I can give 10 out of 10 for everything. Thank you.

My father recently moved into Romford Care Home, and so far, we are extremely happy overall. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and cleaned to a high standard. The care staff have looked after my father well and seen to all his care needs. The community nurse has been especially attentive and kept a special eye on my father's diabetes/sugar levels and acted swiftly when needed. I couldn't wish for him to be in a better care home.

The home and staff are wonderful. My wife has dementia and the staff are very patient with her. The home is spacious with lovely bedrooms which are bright and airy. Main thing for us is safety. My wife's dementia led to her wandering whilst being cared for at home. The care home gives us the peace of mind that she can walk in a secure place. Only minor criticism is chef has left, so there is a current dip in quality and timing of meals, which I'm assured the care home are aware of and will sort.

My mother has been in Romford Care Home for 7 years with severe dementia. She always looks clean, neat and well-cared for whenever I visit. She has now reached 100 years old and this should reflect the amazing care and attention she is receiving. I would certainly recommend dementia patients consider this nursing home. Thank you to all the staff for their patience and understanding.

The manager we spoke to initially explained everything at what has been an extremely difficult time which we are very grateful for. The staff were very helpful and quickly arranged for my relative to enter the care home from the hospital. They have tried their best to make her feel welcome and at ease in their care.

My mother-in-law moved into Romford Care Home in December due to dementia progressing. As a family, we knew it was the right decision but were concerned that she would be unhappy, but she settled in very quickly. I think this was due to the friendly and homely environment from other residents and staff, and the modern design, and decorations/furniture. Nothing is ever perfect, and we have had some issues with laundry going missing, but overall we are very happy. I must also say that social services have been excellent.

I have found the staff to be friendly and approachable, much needed in these difficult times, and mindful of the needs of my father, who is fast approaching 98 years old.
My dad's room and communal areas are all clean and comfortable.

When I've been at the centre during lunch etc the food is hot, of good quality and plentiful.

Overall Experience
My Dad has been in Romford Care Centre since July 2023 - he really has begun to feel at home and the care he receives has been amazing. The caregivers really do go out of their way to meet his expectations and make him feel at ease with the change in his health and being unable to care for himself at times. When his health declines occasionally due to his condition, the caregivers and nurses are always quick to identify his issue and raise the appropriate assistance to help him. Having cared for my Dad on my own for the last 3 years, I know he's not the easiest at times and they take it in their stride and his grumbles do not sway anyone from giving him the best of care.
I personally feel like family, and when I've found times have been tough for me and my own mental health has been wavering, I've been wrapped up in their arms and comforted and reassured.

I cannot recommend Romford Care Centre any more.

My sister in law has been in the Romford Care Home for a few weeks now, and is settling in well.
She is in for respite care, but is considering to stay on permanently in the future.
The staff have all been very helpful and understanding l, this is a new venture for us all, so are feeling our way.
They have answered all her needs and questions so far.
She has not told us of any major issues, just settling in questions and problems, which were addressed.

We are happy with her care, as she is, so would recommend the home.

My wife has been at Romford Care Home for over a year now, receiving 24 hour care.
Over that year, her care has been exemplary; both the day and night staff are excellent, and having a regular staff base that is familiar with my wife's needs (and foibles) is priceless.
Would I recommend the care home? Without a shadow of a doubt. The residents are always the top priority and treated as you would a family member.

Keep up the good work, and thank you for the care, consideration and friendship that all the staff give to my wife and myself.

We would especially like to thank the customer relations manager for making the transition from home to home so smooth. She was so efficient, kind and supportive in the helping of everything to accommodate our stepdad into the home, which I can say was not easy on the day. She and the staff were exemplary. From the moment me and my sister met with her, we felt confident and comfortable in all she was doing for us, which goes a long way these days. She and the team on the day were brilliant and so patient and kind with us so a massive thank you for that from us both. Keep doing what you’re doing, and don’t leave!

Thank you so much for your kind words. The whole team strives to make the difficult transition as easy as possible, not only for those who are coming to stay with us but also for their families.
