Job summary
36.75 hours per week - 7.45 pm - 8 am with alternate weekends.
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Care Team Leader to join our dedicated team in a specialist dementia care home. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with dementia, while leading and supporting a team of care staff to deliver excellence every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of care assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment tailored to the needs of residents with dementia.
- Support residents with personal care, emotional wellbeing, and daily activities in line with individual care plans.
- Conduct regular care reviews and contribute to the development of personalised care plans.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic care.
- Monitor and maintain care standards, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to care staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Respond to incidents and concerns promptly, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Person Specification:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preffered
- Proven experience in dementia care
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and families
- Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
