Kitchen Assistant-Location: 1 West Harling Road, East Harling, NR16 2NP
At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, The Beeches on a part time, 25 hour, permanent contract, £12.60 per hour.
Week 1- Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 08:00am-18:00pm.
Week 2- Monday and Tuesday 08:00-18:00pm.
The Beeches is a Care Home in East Harling, providing care to the elderly and those living with Dementia. The Beeches stand in 2 acres of land which was originally a rectory. The home has successfully maintained its “Outstanding Overall” rating from the CQC, which makes it among the top 4% in the country.

Responsibilities of a
Kitchen Assistant:
Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the
stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing
kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
Assist
the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food
ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and
cutters.
Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and
observing cooking times and correct temperatures. . (completing daily
cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned)
Assist in the
preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI
requirements as needed (Full training provided)
