Gowrie House Care Home is a warm and welcoming 60-bed home in the heart of Kirkcaldy, offering high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care. Our dedicated team plays a vital role in ensuring residents feel supported, comfortable, and truly at home.
We are now recruiting compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our friendly team, with vacancies available on both Dayshift and Nightshift. What We Offer
- £12.70 per hour
- Full-time or part-time contracts (minimum 22 hours per week)
- Paid PVG, Pension scheme, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
- Ongoing training and support to achieve SVQ Level 2 or above
Your Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care and
support to residents, helping with daily routines such as personal
care, mobility, mealtimes, and activities that promote wellbeing and
independence. You will build positive relationships with residents,
offer companionship, and be someone they can rely on for support and
encouragement — whether during the day or through the night.
What We’re Looking For
You may already hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or
be working towards it, or you might simply have a natural caring
nature and want to learn. What matters most is your reliability,
empathy, and commitment to providing excellent care. If you share our
